My name is Melvin Vega and yes I'm giving 5 star review. I'm a seasoned driver working with Jeep Transportation. This was my first time picking up at this shipper. And Because of all the bad reviews I was dreading even going there. I in fact sent my dispatcher a message and told him of the reviews. Nonetheless I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy and very professional. I arrived at 3pm for a 3pm appointment. Was given a dock quickly and loaded within 2 hours and sent on my way from the receiving clerk to the yard jockey and the jeep driver to the security guard. All treated me with the utmost respect . Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.

Here to unload 25 tons of chicken meal that was said to be urgently needed. Been waiting 2 hours so far and there's been no trucks in the bay now for most of it. There are no restrooms out here whatsoever, not even a portapotty, and no communication the entire time so it's just sit and wait... The guard at the check-in booth was a snot, she speaks like she's talking down to you. This place needs to get it together. They should stop wasting driver's on-duty hours, show a little respect when speaking to them, and cater to their needs a little if you've got them waiting for hours at a time by adding a restroom and even possibly some vending machines.

Night shift employees in the unload bay are fantastic! Daytime....not so much. After being here multiple times I've learned to check in for my appointment, park and go to bed if it's daytime. The nightshift guy is very courteous and will come knock when it's your turn. During the day you're on your own and have to stay awake 2-10 hours so you can move the truck everytime the line moves or drivers will cut.

Won't return to this location with any loads. Had a 7am appointment and it is now 1pm and they don't have him unloaded. Have to test the product at ours and drivers expense

Had an 8am Thursday pick up appointment, now finally getting loaded at 9:30pm Friday. Was told they were badly understaffed, but after being in a door and nothing happening for an hour I decided to investigate and took this picture through the glass of the access door. FOUR EMPLOYEES ALL ON THEIR PHONES, WITH A LOADED FORKLIFT READY TO GO.Way to go, boys. Now you're famous 😀The manager on duty was very quick to get the situation dealt with and was extremely apologetic, which I appreciate. But really, saying your delays are due to lack of staff but the ones you DO have working are wasting everyone's time.......fix up!

Nice people but ridiculously slow. Waited 2 hrs to get a door assignment and they are not even busy. They must like paying detention. Avoid if you are an O/O and dispatch yourself. I won’t make this mistake again.

Rude people here. They speak to you as if you are stupid and they are above you. Simple drop and hook and that took me an hour to get paperwork. No one is here but me

Overnight parking. open 24hrs. They take forever to load. They go by appointments but they still take 20 hrs to load you

Drivers beware do not listen to 5 star reviews lies!! Today is 10/18/2021 arrived at 1:30 for 5 pm appointment time got checked in and told they would call me. Called at 6 pm gave me a door 7:15 and still have the green light. There’s about 10 or 15 trucks waiting this place is garbage delivery time is for 7 am in Dallas tomorrow absolutely no consideration for schedules. I understand places are short on help but don’t order trucks if you can’t get us in and out on time we have schedules to keep also and guess who is to blame when we can’t keep that schedule guess who the broker wants to dock and good luck with detention pay I’ve come to realize it’s a myth. Low paying load definitely not worth the aggravation and wasted time

Been here 12 hrs and counting. Just got a door assigned in the 12th hour. If you are routinely this behind at the shipping office , you should let the driver know. Could've slept more. Would have grabbed a real meal at the truck stop before I got here. The 2 stars is because there is currently truck parking in the rear and not waiting on the streets.

Been here several times but no good experience at all. It's ridiculous today that I have a preloaded trailer pickup between 0600 and 1700 but now at 2200 I am still stucked in the dock. I arrived at 1400 and was told that the load was not loaded to a trailer so they have to make it a live load. I was not docked until 1800. Checked with the office at 2000 and was told that they are about to load me, which is totally a lie cause the dock light never turned red. Ridiculous.Update: I got released from the dock at midnight. I tried to get the in and out time for detention but I was told I won't get detention because I don't have an appointment for live load. I didn't argue because I know my company will pay me according to our record regardless of whatever he said, but for those drivers who don't have supports, you may not want to switch your preload appt with a live load, in which case they might be able to steal the detention.

Got lucky I guess or they needed the product I'm delivering. More like the later. Got a call to the door after checking in pretty quick. Started unloading me 7 mins after parking at the door. Very fast unload for me today. All the staff were friendly. 5 ⭐ all the way.

Bring a lunch and a dinner!I was asked to drop a trailer Monday at 8 AM. The trailer was to be ready Tuesday at 6 AM.Trailer was not ready.I've been here all day, it is now almost 4 PM and I'm still here waiting...This is my 2nd day waiting. There are trucks waiting longer than me

I’m a new driver and had read the reviews. I so much dreaded this place based solely on the reviews. My appointment time to unload was 0600. Waited one hour for them to call me to a dock. They got me unloaded in less than an hour after docking. Not a bad experience for me. Just sharing my own experience. Stay safe drivers!

I had a delivery and I got the early. They told me to go park in the dirt parking lots and back in any dock at 05:00 and they will unload my trailer the next day.. I was empty by 0600 like the lady told me .. and also my appointment was 0900 ..

Had an appointment at 7pm on a Wednesday and didn’t even get a door until 2:45am on Thursday. Finally finished at 6am for a total of 11hrs past my appointment time. If your picking up here plan to stay a long time and make sure your delivery is not scheduled to close to the pick up time.

This is by far the worse shipper ever. Appointment was at 0900 here it is 2pm & no dock door no phone call or anything. Just flat out ridiculous. If no dock in the next 2hrs I will cancel with broker & they'll have to find someone else pick this load.

Ok, so I know this place use to take FOREVER to get loaded / unloaded, but they must be under new management because both times I’ve been here in the last few months I was in & out in under 2 hours. That is a DRASTIC improvement from before where you might be here for 8-10hrs. I’m always early for my appointment and although my appointment isn’t until 11pm, I’m already in a dock @ 4pm. That’s awesome!!! Way to go Merrick!

Showed up on Mon morning for my preload, to be told it wouldn't be ready til 11pm. I come back Tues at 8am to be told it's a live load. Been backed at door for almost 2 1/2 hrs and occasionally feel them loading me. Still see trucks in dock that were here before me. Crazy slow

8/17/20, my appointment was for 10am. I checked in at 9am. They took my phone number at the gate and told me to park in the dirt lot. Then they called to get my truck info and pickup number five minutes later. I was told they would call me as soon as they had a dock available. It now 3:15pm and they still haven't called. I'm not going to be making on time delivery.

These people are sooooooo slow. They'd rather be on their phones, surfing social media than loading truck. This place wasn't even busy. Only 10 little pallets and it took 6 1/2 hrs.. This could be a great place for drivers to load if management could work on this issue.

0700 appointment.Called to door 0718.Paperwork brought to me 0745...Great break room and had coffee on.OVERNIGHT PARKING...I did park the wrong way, however you have Horacio running around blaring lights and horns and sirens and woke me up 6+ hours later to have me repark the right way..Could have told me when I parked.Anyways, that's minor..

Had a driver sit for twelve hours to try and pick up a load. Driver arrived at 2:30 pm and was told to come back at 6, then 7. Then was told to leave premises because everyone was evacuating, no reasons given, and come back at 8pm. Driver checked back in at 8pm, finally got loaded at 2:30am-will not be back!!!

Friendly people at a new Distribution Center. I don't think that people are coordinated yet because as I get to yard for appointment I get told to go park, takes half hour to come get me and tell me what dock Number as I backup to dock light is red so I stop and ask takes 15 minutes for them figure out the lights just broken, at brand new facility?? Took almost 3.5 hrs to get loaded and be able to leave.
