Great prices, one of my dogs is a biter he’s just a mommies dog and was abused so I was really worried about them being able to groom him they did a fantastic job and said they didn’t have any trouble with him. I have 4 dogs all of which will be going here from now on. Fantastic grooming job, clean and very friendly staff we just fell in love with this shop so they have 4 new doggies to bathe and groom and board now.

I boarded my dogs this weekend for 1 night on Friday. I have never seen the people that were running it this weekend but they were not friendly at all. They made me feel like I was bothering them. I had a great experience a few months ago so I was surprised. I have two small dogs that I worry about with the hawks. I reminded her to please make sure they watch them while they are outside. She responded, yes we know. I almost didn’t leave them with them because I didn’t like the way they were responding to me. When I got back in town I drove by and saw my dogs outside. There is no shade in the smaller area and I could see them getting as close as they could to the fence to find some shade. It was very hot and humid outside yesterday. I changed vehicles at my house and came to pick them up. They were still outside and nobody was outside watching them like I asked them to do. I never leave my chihuahuas outside by themselves because a hawk can get them very quickly. All three of my dogs were panting because they got too hot. I got them home and it took me a while to get them cooled down. When I walked in there was not anyone even watching them out the window. The younger girl walked over to the window when she saw me come in but what she didn’t know is that I was outside watching. They were booked up and did get me in last minute and I appreciated that but if I’m going to pay $70 for 1 night then I want my dogs to be watched closely like they said they would and not leave them outside so long they get too hot with no shade. When Felicia was there they were very well taken care of and now I have to find another place because I don’t want them to be taken care of by the unprofessional staff that was there this past weekend of June 4th. Very disappointed.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE - I’ve worked for several small, family owned businesses in Henderson so I know the weight that even just one bad review can carry - but I also know that I nor anyone in any of those families would’ve treated someone the way that I was treated this weekend. I have previously written a great review about The Dawg Shop, we have taken our 2 small dogs to be groomed several times and have had an excellent experience. I saw they offered boarding and scheduled 3 different weekends for them to be boarded there this summer, the first being this past weekend. I dropped both of my dogs off on Friday morning at 8am, both seemed happy and healthy prior to being dropped off. At 10:17am I received a phone call from them in a very frustrated tone - stating one of my dogs had diarrhea but they weren’t sure which one, they would separate them to find out and said someone needed to bring them diarrhea medicine immediately. I was out of town and the people who would normally watch our animals were also out of town - so no I didn’t want to deal with trying to find someone to go buy diarrhea medicine AND take it to them - but it’s my dog so I sorted it out. At 11:10am the person who was handling that for me dropped the medicine off. At 12:15pm they had yet to give her any of the medicine but called me (again, in a very frustrated tone) and said someone would have to come get her right away because she might get the other dogs sick! (Keep in mind that my other dog is the only one in the same kennel with her and she’s acting just fine & neither dog was sick that morning!) Like I stated previously - I didn’t have anyone else to watch my dog, or they would’ve been with that person instead of a boarder while I am out of town. I scrambled to find someone who could take time out of their day to go get my dog and keep her for the next four days - again, I was finally able to sort it out. I called them back at 12:50pm to let them know that someone would be coming to get her but I wasn’t sure what time they would be able to make it up there, they said “okay, that’s fine”….then proceeded to send me a fb message stating they closed at 2pm. You can tell here that you’re dealing with different people. Felicia (the owner) typically runs their fb messenger. Once again, she is short and only interacting with me as if it’s my fault she is having to clean up diarrhea. By 1:45pm my friend had our dog picked up and home. They never even opened the diarrhea medicine! She has been with my friend for 4 days and has not had diarrhea once!! Every time they spoke with me about this it was never about the concern for my dog - it was frustration for having to deal with cleaning up diarrhea. Which I understand, but I’m PAYING you to take care of my dog and the slightest inconvenience causes you to call me multiple times to express your frustration while I’m out of town. If I’m paying you for a service, I expect the service to be done, it’s as simple as that. I also expect to be treated with kindness and for them to have genuine concern and care for my animals. I did not receive either of those this past weekend. I have cancelled our other two boarding appointments, they will not be back for grooming either. I will NOT support anyone who treats their customers this way.

Terrible hours. They never answer the phone. I guess this place is only for wealthy housewives who don’t need to work. No phone call asking if I was coming to get my dog. No communication at all.

My mom was 2 minutes late to pick up her dog and no one will answer the phone for her to get her dog. She has a full time job and left work early to get her dog and no one will answer the phones.
