Burgers are delicious. Hot and fresh!! Love the chicken strips too! The restaurant has been remodeled and it's very nice. (The restrooms need to be updated.) There is an area to sit outside. Love to do that. So cozy and nice to sit outside on a nice day.

We went through drive thru on our way home and we ordered nachos, a belt buster, and two combos with a belt buster and triple buster... we spent 30 dollars alone on the combos... we come home and our fries are cold and hardlike the had been setting there for hours, burger wasn't made right and was cold and the nachos were soggy and the cheese was cold... we also waited a while in drive thru thinking our food was gonna be fresh.... I called and spoke with the night manager and he told me to bring the food back and he would remake it.... first of all it was right at closing time and was pouring rain and I live outside of town and I told him that and he just said well what do you want me to do.... I told him it needed to be fixed with as much as I paid I shouldn't be eating cold food... he just said ok I will let them know... I'm gonna call and talk to the store manager in the morning hopefully it's a better experience...

Hours Listed have it closing at 11PM on Friday and Saturday. Pulled up at 10:00 PM on the dot at the drive thru - sat for a minute… lights on the display went out as we waited … so we pulled up and at 10:02 PM someone comes up to the 2nd window while there is still in the car waiting for their order and proceeded to inform us they are closed and just « turned off » all their ice cream machines!!!Seemed harsh and unnecessary :)…. Also …. May be a good idea to update the opening hours on your Google and other public listings !!!

One of the best cheeseburgers ever. No joke, it was perfectly assembled with ample mustard and crunchy crisp veggies. This was so exceptional that I went back and told them how perfect it was. Thanks guys🤠! We cant wait to get back for another burger.

I got the regular patty melt combo with a sweet tea... Waited ten minutes at the second window, pulling up to let the guy behind Me getting a blizzard out. When I asked why it took so long the answer was "it's a fresh patty, this late we don't keep them." I thought this was a good deal and drove off. Fries were on point, munching on the way home.When I got home though, the "fresh" patty was overcooked, I had maybe 3 onion strings, there was so much F'n mayo I had to scrape it off of.... Untoasted, soggy, way too thick white bread.This was 9 on Wed the 9th, 2022.This is the oldest DQ in Texas... Do better.

Tried the Cheesy Steak Fingers. There was no cheese in it. Took 1 bite, and all I could taste was breaded fried steak fat. Had to spit it out. Worst meal I've tried there. Won't be eating that again.

The guy at the counter was so patient and nice! My friend was having a hard time remembering what she wanted to order, (which I am hoping isn't early onset Dementia, although she is 75). The young man was smiling and joking with her, which helped her to relax and remember that she wanted a Grilled cheese sandwich and a chocolate Blizzard with chocolate pieces. I didn't think the GCS would be very good-I thought that it would be very greasy, but it was not! It was really good, and the few spoonfuls of the Blizzard my friend let me have, were so yummy! The only thing that spoiled the visit for me, was the employee who was sweeping next to us. She was clanking chairs so loudly that we couldn't hear each other. When I said something to my friend about it, the girl glared at me, and made even more noise. She was very rude and didn't seem to care. Other than that, we enjoyed our time at "The Oldest Dairy Queen in Texas!"

I got the tacos again today for some reason they were just not as good and I noted a large price increase on the menu. If they tasted like they did today they would no longer be worth it. Also got a crispy sandwich that was a pile of pickles plain & dry.

The taco shells are fresh. That's what I always look for, so I'm putting it up front here. Food is pretty fast unless they're backed up. They'll take a little while if they're swamped. Good food, decent people.

We are not from Henderson. DAIRY QUEEN IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE.AND WE HAVE TRAVELED ALL AROUND tx.The Pecan cluster Blizzard is our favorite.and they don't cut corners. Thank you @😊 we will go back for sure.

I ordered curbside pick up. I pulled up and I admit I was in the middle of 2 spaces. I was looking around trying to find the place where I was supposed to pick up curbside. I was going to back up and try the other side. The manager came out and I thought he was going to ask if I was there picking up, but he rudely said move over you are taking up 2 spaces. I moved and someone brought out my food and I get home and realize they didn't give me my drink. I go back up there and go in to get my drink. Kind of pointless to order curbside pickup if you have to go in. The manager should have been checking if orders were correctly completed instead of policing the parking.

Went through the drive through to place an order and the employee who took our order acted as if we were wasting her time by immediately asking "what do you want" in a rude manner. I placed the order which by the way was two blizzards and got nothing back. Moved to the window and watch her make ice cream cones for a few minutes. Still no one came to the window. Very poor customer service. I eventually left and went to Sonic.

Fast service for DQ, but I got trapped in the parking lot because they didn't instruct the large vehicle who needed to wait to move up far enough. What good is it to give me my order quickly if I am still stuck waiting for 5 minutes to get out of the drive through?

5.1.22 - Waited in "long..." drive-thru line & getting food, took apprx 40 mins +. I placed 2 Orders: 1) #8 Chic Strip Basket Combo w/Reg Fries, & Med Strawberry Fountain Drink; 2) Kids Burger Meal w/Cheese, Fries, Sweet Tea, & FREE Ice Cream Sandwich. Once I approached the driv-thru window for "order confirmation" & pymnt..., the male that took my Ord & repeated it back to me..., screwed the Kids Meal up!! For some reason or another..., he had keyed the "Kids" Cheeseburger, into a big, Regular Cheeseburger Combo meal. After repeating my orig. ORD's to the Cashier, and having her to Correct it..., they had me pull fwd to the lil window & wait - seems like eternity (another 15/18 mins). Once they passed the sacked food to me out the lil window..., I "checked" the contents ... glad I did!! Then, I had to beat/pound on the lil glass window, to get someone's attention!! Finally, the inexperienced male Order taker came to the lil window. I expressed-- that they forgot to give/bag the FREE Ice Cream Sandwich!! Once he fetched it (apprx., another 5 min wait), I was able to leave. After all the long wait & frustration..., the Chic Strips & Fries..., were "overcooked" & hard ... not the usual golden brown!!🤦 Smh.... But, the Henderson (oldest DQ in TX) location..., is waaay better than the nearest location to me!! (Dallas, Polk St. @ Wheatland Rd.)Features: Went thru drive-thru ... Workers didn't wear mask, or gloves. From what I observed from the driv-thru window..., customers were "Not" practicing Social Distancing, nor wearing mask!
