Been here a few times and they have decent supplies and prices but the chick starter I got was 15 months old and completely infested with weevils. Feed may be better if purchased elsewhere. The last thing I need is these things hitching a ride into my pantry.

Helpful, courteous and quick. The inside staff doesn't leave you standing in line they will quickly get you rung up running two register. When I have trouble finding something 8 times out of 10 they will have.

Friendly folks with almost everything you need around the ranch. Medicines for your herd. Feed for dogs, cats, chickens, hummingbirds, patio furniture and fencing, too. Western wear, knick knacks, doo dads, and what nots. You name it, they probably have it.q

Been passing the store in Hempstead for a couple of years when on our way to College Station. Stopped yesterday and spent some time perusing the store. Bought a fairly small item but the lady behind the counter convinced us that we don't need to come back. Never been in any store related to ag and found someone that rude.

Nice pleasant employees..But it doesn't seem like the front store is well stocked. They are expensive an seem to run out of chicken scratch alot..I'm from a hard-core ag state this place seems lacking, compared to what I'm used to.

I used to go there and spend not much just a little over a thousand dollars . A lady called Cheyenne was the nicest person ever . Now she left and they put this ex tractor supply bitter and rude lady behind the counter demanding customers to wear a mask while she has nothing covering her bitter and rude face .Last purchase there , all bags of cubes were moulded . That was my last time there . Now I spend my money at Tractor supply Waller . Mike , the owner is too busy having affairs with employees to care for his own business. Don’t waist your time going there .Only reason a gave a star is because with no star I couldn’t post anything . But trust me NO STAR AT ALL !

Very good store. We met a man that was selling us a rescue horse & horse trailer & my husband & the young man was working on the hitch to our truck & we the young fielding out & a young woman from the store came out & offard to get us a bucket of water for the young horse. Which was very nice of her & the staff. Thank you for your help

I had been looking for a high quality dog collar for a reasonable price. I found exactly that at Steinhauser's. They have a great selection of Valhoma collars and leashes to choose from. Employees were very kind and helpful.

They people there are wonderful. They listen and try everything to make sure you get what you want even when you don't know yourself. And if they don't have they order it for you. They are all very helpful. Great place to go.

You may have your HEB but I have My Steinhausers Feed Store where I purchase my horse supplies and bird feed. I use Blue Buffalo No Grain For Small Breed dog food. But because we live in a rural area, the only place I could purchase this was when I went into the larger towns at PetSmart. That is until I said something at Steinhausers about how hard at times this was for me to do. They not only ordered and now stock this for me but they make sure there is always a bag on the shelf when need it. Small town shopping at it's best.

Was there couple months ago and forgot to post this. The ladies behind the counter are so unwelcoming. I asked them a question about their feed and her response made me feel stupid. Management needs to work on this.

The young lady Brooklyn was so kind and polite and helped me out, but the other lady there was so rude and wouldn't put down her cigarette to come help me that's why I'm only giving 4 stars. Other than that I really love the store I will definitely be coming back!!
