There was no wait to be seated. The chicken fried chicken plate was a ton of food: huge breaded chicken, 2 sides, choice of bread, AND a trip to the AMAZING salad bar! I could have made a meal from just the salad bar. Staff was friendly, but waitress never came back to refill our drinks, until we asked for our check. Parking is a bit inconvenient across a busy road. Definitely will go back.Kid-friendliness: Kids' selections were plentiful.

Such a cool little place!! The upper level is gorgeous in a rustic way.I had the daily special. It was good, and more than enough.....with dessert. The waitress was awesome.I'll definitely go back.Parking: Parking is across a road coming into town, so it can be busy. Hold your kids hand. Be mindful of elderly.

I had breakfast. The food was really good. The service was really good. One of the afternoon cooks greeted me and was very personable. He wanted to ensure my food was good. When I sat down I asked them if we could maybe listen to something else. The music never got changed. They really need to consider the music choice. It was a real turn off. Maybe something more fitting to the clientele? Not the kitchen staff. I was the only customer in the restaurant at 8:45 a.m.

Poor service, my husband and I went to go have dinner, and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. Young lady greet us and took are drink order, and explain she will give a min while we look over the menu. After we put the menu away to show we are ready to order, both the waitress on the floor didn't come back and check on us or anything, we waited for about 30-mins, before my husband decided to leave, once we got up from the table and started to walk out the door one of the waitress, said thank you for coming in. I turned around and said this was not a very good service, scents no one took our order.

This is a quaint little place that's kind of tucked away from everything it's kind of easy to not notice it. The service here is impeccable the ladies greet you as you walk in. The food I had the country fried steak and I will tell you this the gravy is to die for the food was excellent and I most certain one will be going again. Do yourself a favor and take the time to go there and have dinner or breakfast.

My wife and I went to the Feed Store in Hemphill this evening. This was our first time there. The atmosphere is friendly and the service was attentive. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. These really were the best fried pickles we ever had. And there were way more than the two of us could eat. I ordered the chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes and Texas toast. My wife got the fried fish and shrimp with fried okra and tator tots. Both of our meals were exceptional. You could tell the ingredients were fresh. We will definitely be going back there.

We hand a very nice waitress but they are clearly short staffed . We are in the upstairs room which I do not recommend as it was easy to forget us . We also went in when it was busy . We didn’t mind because we were chatting . The chicken fried steak was average , needed salt , obviously you have to be careful with the amount . The Hamburger was awesome. I never got my Dr Pepper .

Love the atmosphere. Meals and dessert are delicious. My first time to eat there, but definitely not my last. Great choices and attentive staff. Wasn't loud nor busy during a Thursday lunch. Small town dining at its finest.
