Terrible experience. I drove here from Castroville because my go to store did not have the product in stock. This location stated to have 125 in stock,( I almost did curb side pick up too) but instead I walked in, could not find the product so I asked three associates that were standing at the computer together talking. Neither of them wanted to help me look for the product NOR did they even make eye contact with me. One of the guys said it was out of stock and they didn’t know when they would be getting in stock.(I don’t know if he knew what I was asking for because like I said none of them bothered to look at me to acknowledge me as a customer) I mentioned that it says 125 in stock, tried to show them my phone to see that I could order it as curbside and none of them cared. They practically treated me like I was invisible. I wasted gas, and time. I would have called ahead of time but like I mentioned… it literally stated over 100 in stock and allowed to be ordered online for pick up.

What a pleasant experience start to finish. Employees greet you at the door and help you find your product. Product in stock so i dont have to order myself and wait 5 days for delivery. I can get my project done now. Cheerful cashier, Tiffanie, so i dont have to check myself out.

We had gone to purchase a grill that happened to be already assembled but exhibited signs of wear from being left outside such as rust stains on its surface along with missing components like one rack required for functionality.. We inquired about any potential discount offered due this issue since similar products could easily found at retailers Home Depot or Lowe’s brand new within their respective boxes without defects., associate informed us he would consult his superior regarding matter. When Kevon appeared annoyed while barely glancing over product stating only willingness to offer a measily five percent reduction which led me explain situation once more hoping reason might provoke different response instead resulted same dismissive statement 'go there', effectively encouraging potential buyers towards competitors. Which exactly what we did. Lowe’s here we come.

This was first time shopping here, was told by some friend this was a good place to shop for mowers so I gave it a try. I purchased a new lawn mower online for curb side pick up, showed up the worker told me that they didn't have any in boxes but they put this one was together, ok cool took it home and started noticing that it had been used or was a display item. The mowers was dusty and scuffed wasn't even put together correctly nuts and bold were loose and and handle wasn't put on correctly. Called back to ask if they usually sell used or display item to customers as new, I was told no only new items were sold, so I ask then why was I sold a used item as new? I would liked to be told that it was a display item being sold to me probably wouldn't of purchased it. The worker told me yeah of you purchase a new item you should expect to get a new item, them he asked if I would like to bring it back, I told him I live 12 miles away I already put it together added gas and oil so that's really not an option he said you can contact my manager and maybe you can get a percentage off becuse it was a display item, I said ok but the manager wasn't in that day asked to call back the next day so I did. Called the manager he said basically told me the same thing but he couldn't do anything about it I need to get ahold of the GM who isn't there at the moment, told me to call him back at 7:30 in the am the next day, I said can you get ahold of him let him know the situation and have him call me back, manager said I can't do that Because he's off and he doesn't like to be bothered on his time off. Ok have him call me tomorrow then, he said his is Trent and you can get ahold of him tomorrow hopefully if he comes in. So basically this is gonna be the good'ol run around I guess, so I won't be going back, bad first experience.

Stopped in yesterday to buy a chainsaw I had researched online. They re-set the store, so had to walk all around to find chainsaws, no biggie. No employee offered to help, as a matter of fact, the cashier was the only employee I saw. Found the chainsaw I wanted. It was tied to the wall to keep it from being stolen, I get it. Told the only employee visible (cahier) I needed a chain saw. He got on the his radio to call for the key. I waited 30 minutes before someone could "unlock" the chainsaw and he set the alarm off. Then the "manager?' comes to turn off the alarm. I paid for the chainsaw, after explaining, twice, the transaction was tax exempt. I took the saw to the site I was going to use it, and the side cover falls off as I lift it out of the truck. Someone had stolen the two nuts holding the side cover on.I have not had, anywhere near, these problems at any other tractor supply. Next time it's to Castroville!

This Store gave great service today. Vincent saw I was in need of assistance and asked , I said yes. He assisted with helping me look for duck feed and gave me some knowledge about the feed of ducks at the age I have. He was very polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He also assisted on how to maintain clean water for my chicken feeder. Store was clean and was greeted when I walked in this afternoon and check out was very quick and kind.

Love shopping here. I've been here a couple of times and haven't had a bad experience. The workers are always so nice and very helpful. I always want to come back because of them. I got my baby chicks from here and they're 4 weeks old and thriving. I would recommend this location.

I had a return and exchanged it on Friday evening. Although i checked my receipts last night bc i kinda felt the guy at the register might of made a mistake. Sure enough he did. I exchanged for 9 bags of cattle cubes and one bag of calf starter feed and 1 small bag of calfmanna supplement. The guy at the register Friday night 2/10/23 charged for 9 bags of calf starter feed, 1 small bag calf manna supplement, the return was for alot more so i asked that the $ be placed on a gift card. Now I'm wondering if the gift card is done correctly. I've called the store several times this morning 2/13/23 no one answers the phone. Very frustrating. I can't drive over just now. Since I'm at work. I wanted to discuss when i can go over speak to the manager. $5. Less per cattle cubes 50# bags than calf starter 50# bag. $45. Difference! I was cheated out.to the manager although that seems to be impossible at this point. Its frustrating because the cattle cubes are about $5. Less per bagI trued this 800 # no help, calked mtge store back Pat answered he was very nice, he saud just go in and adk for help on adjusting the error and mentione his name and it will be fixed with my refunds. So nice!

Edit: leaving the rating as is because it’s accurate. I did call the phone number below and they have made every attempt to get the feed for me but it has to be done locally so after talking to them I called the Castroville Texas location. It’s not convenient as this location in Helotes is only 2 miles from my house. However Jenny at the Castroville location not only attempted to make the order but she actually returned my call and promised to contact me and let me know if the Feed can be ordered or not.Original: Changing my rating (from 5 stars) on this location! In the past they’ve always been receptive and helpful. However the last two months I have gone by twice and called once concerning a feed I can get locally but I would prefer to get from tractor supply. I received an email from tractor supply corporate stating if the manager will order it I can get it from Purina at this location. i’ll be glad to share that email. Of the three times I was not permitted to talk to the manager directly an employee would go to the back to talk to the manager for me. All three times my phone number my name and the product information was written down. Well the two times I went in it was written down because I physically wrote it down myself.Of the three Contacts I have received not one reply. Nothing stating Purina won’t ship it to them nothing stating we can get it for you it will arrive at this date… nothing!

KATE WAS AMAZING! She pretty much was running the whole store by herself. I could tell they were understaffed with a packed store of customers pulling kate ever witch way she still was cool as a cucumber and helped my family find everything we needed for our first chicken coop. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.The whole staff from top to bottom will display their passion to help you in a way you'll feel luxuriously catered too. They have everything and anything you need for all pets. The deals are amazing but the staff really deserves all credit. Honest, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.Yall do a great job. It's a shame we can't see the smiles through all the masks 🤣 but I'm smiling up in there... and who smiles when they're spending money for pet maintenance?

We just came from this location and sales associate, Web was so helpful and knowledgeable in all the products we were looking for. He saved us time and money and shared his expert knowledge with my husband and I!! This associate is amazing and we will be back because of him. Tractor Supply is the only place I go for Propane refills. great prices, convenient, and typically friendly staff. However on one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year, they have no staff on site to fill propane. How can this be possible?

There was s little confusion getting seated but was quickly worked out. Our chief, John, was excellent. Very entertaining without being overbearing. Best of all, his food was delicious! The place is a little expensive but worth it occasionally.

I don't think that Tractor Supply has caught on to curb side service...I placed my order, arrived, and called. No answer. Went into the store and was told I should walk the 3 aisles to find one of the guys. If I wanted to shop the store or go in why would I do curbside? Why can no one answer the phone? But yet some guy can be out back tying a 20 buck pool on top of a womans car, who should have brought a truck. The other guy I saw was standing in the center of the store giving dirty looks to the girl who called and said I had a pick up. Common sense is not so common anymore. I would be shocked if they reached their $20,000 sales goal that day or anyday.

This store has gone from great to total trainwreck.Stopped to buy a pressure switch for the well at my ranch. Not only did they not have the right one, they did not have ANY. Well pressure switches are to a farm and ranch supply what spark plugs are to an auto parts store. You just do not run out of basics.I bought a pack of firestarters clearly marked $14.99 and the cashier tried to charge me $19.99. She called the back, three times but could not get any employees to look up the correct price so I went back myself to get an employee to verify the price.The employee never went to tell the cashier the correct price so she continued arguing and treating me like dirt. As if I were lying.The only reason I did not cancel my order and leave the store was that I wanted to see if anyone would actually see that the cashier had overcharged me and correct the mistake.They finally got it straight but only after ruining my day and angering all of the customers in line watching this clown act.I will be shopping at Tractor Supply Bandera from now on.I will NEVER shop in this horrid store again. They cannot even determine how much their products actually cost and have no problem insinuating that honest, loyal paying customers are liars when it is they who screwed up.Avoid this store at all costs.

We ordered work leather chaps to avoid snake bites at work. They sent us the wrong size through the online shopping website. However, we were told to go to the store and return them to get our credit back immediately. This way we could purchase the right size and get in sent to us more quickly. The manager at the this location helped get our credit on a gift card. Went online made the new purchase the same day. Actually got 20.00 off the original cost. We picked up in store 3 days later. Great customer service and professionalism by the store and online customer service.

I have shopped at the Helotes store for years and have always had positive experiences. I returned today to purchase dog food because when I stopped yesterday, there was a VERY long line. I got my dog food and waited my turn in line. An employee then opened the other register and helped someone who just walked up without helping those of us waiting in line already. I realize that this may seem like a minor detail, but when SEVERAL people are already waiting, for an employee to help someone who essential skirted in front of everyone else us unacceptable! Customer service should include helping the next person in line, not circumventing the line. This responsibility lies with the employees! Additionally, when I mentioned it to the cashier checking me out, her statement was, "I didn't do it." There is some real pride and responsibility.

An interesting hardware/ranch supply business. I especially like their selection of fasteners. They help load the big items. Seems they have something for everyone. I'll be back again and again.
