The Palms is always excellent and takes great care of Bowser and Ganondorf. I never worry leaving them here. They are attentive and let me know if anything is wrong with any of my dogs during their stay. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Had a wonderful experience boarding my little Zelda for a couple of days. Staff was super friendly and sweet with her. You can tell they genuinely love and care for the dogs there. I also got her bathed as well. She smelled amazing and seemed so happy! Would definitely recommend if you need somewhere to board your fur baby or have them groomed.

I have taken my pets to be groomed and/or boarded and/or trained to many different types of businesses over the years... Needless to say I have built a long sturdy BASELINE for comparison purposes! I was recently referred to The Palms Resort & Spa by 2 of my neighbors who were also pleased with their experiences with (1) the Head Trainer and her training program for their dogs, as well as each of their dog's success & accomplishments during the training program. They are running a business that is set up with rules for each employee to adhere to..... a they DO FOLLOW THE RULES GIVEN TO THEM... but very very nicely conveyed to the Pet Owners!! Initially My 8 week old AKC Champion Bred Show Dog was boarding because my father as dying in Hospital for 3 weeks. I was told about trainer training Jack twice a day while boarding. I was sent photos and videos daily of his training sessions. I can still refer back to these videos for help on what to do. I also sent videos to my 45 yo son to make certain I was clear on how I was training him, so it would remain consistent!! It was perfect!! The Grooming is wonderful The front staff is wonderful They make certain all pets are vaccinated prior to admission!! I can't say enough about the intelligence of Head Trainer, Irma Bice. She helps us without being condescending... which she could easily do with all her knowledge and years of experience!! I Could keep going on and on!!! I am a Proud Mom of a well trained puppy... he minds and understands so many things!! Thanks to my neighbors for pointing me in the right direction!! I could go on for hours... but my fingers are going numb!! Try the Palms Resort and Spa & Doggy Day Care and Training Classes or private training classes... you will be extremely proud of your animal AND YOURSELF... for making that choice!

Front staff are always helpful and friendly. They have always been accommodating and welcoming of any needs my pup has going in for boarding. I feel safe leaving my fur baby with them for short or extended stays.

I’ve been taking my standard poodle here for grooming for a few months now and I can say that this place is definitely 5 star (no one has encouraged me to write this review and I have no relation to anyone associated with this business). As an essential business, they stayed open during the heat of the COVID pandemic and took care of me and my pup, without missing a beat. My puppy always looks handsome when he leaves and smells amazing for quite some time after the fact. They always listen to what I want EVERY single time. Even though I’m a helicopter parent who calls nearly every hour to check on my pup, ask questions, and tell them things that I forgot to mention at drop off, they never have been rude or impatient with me. They also make special notes on my pup so he can get the care and attention that >>I<< think is appropriate. They also have a boarding facility. I’ve toured that space but I have not used it yet. Judging the way it looks and how I’ve seen the employees handle the dogs, I would feel comfortable leaving my pup here for an extended stay.

A friend had recommend the Palms and I boarded my dogs here for a short weekend trip (two nights) and had them in a suite together. We were able to bring our own dog bed and toys to make them feel at home. I didn't get any calls or updates during the stay that there were any issues so I assume everything went well. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because when I picked up my dogs, one of them had a gash on the top of her head that was approximately 1/2 inch wide and fairly deep. When I met them at the door I noticed there was a drop of blood on my dogs head but figured it was just a little blood from one of them getting a small cut and transferring it, or something along those lines. Before I put her in the car I realized that it was not just blood on her fur but a gash. I brought her back in and notified them because no one mentioned it and no staff had noticed when I picked them up.No one was able to tell me what had happened or had any clue on how this could have happened and that's what makes me upset. They did not play with other dogs during their stay and my two have no history of being aggressive or snapping at each other. I understand accidents happen and she very well could have hit it on something but for not one staff member to have noticed when it happened or be able to tell what happened (because it's not small) is disconcerting. The GM came out and was very apologetic and looked at it and did her best to try and figure out what happened but no one knew. They had their nails trimmed that morning and the person who did it said she did not see it at that time. Luckily the vet next door was able to see her immediately - which the GM coordinated. My dog had to be sedated to be given stitches for the wound. The Palms did pay for those services, which I am grateful for.I do appreciate the way the GM handled the situation on addressing it while I was there and paying for the medical bills, but unfortunately there won't be answers for how this happened. Again, I know accidents happen and I'm okay with that, but not knowing how is unsettling for me. Hopefully this is a moment the staff can learn from to ensure every pet is monitored more closely for their health and safety.I am not opposed to having my dogs stay at the Palms again, but the safety of my pets takes precedence and i wouldn't leave them again unless I knew every step was going to be accounted for.

Have to give it 2*. We have a fluffy corgi and when brought him for the first time we only asked to trim a bit off his butt and a bit off legs. Instead they made a regular short haired corgi out of him. Apparently the groomer didn’t have much experience with fluffies in particular. Overall very nice experience with the office and staff. Sad our fluffy corgi now looks very different. :) I think he doesn’t like his new look either.Update after owner response. Owner says I signed off on something. All I did was initial next to the word “Bath” and wasn’t even provided a copy of that document, all I have is a payment receipt without any service done breakdown. And I’m not even requesting anything from them, don’t know why they pull “you signed” card. For any other breed the service would’ve been great, no doubt. Just not the fluffy corgi, is all I’m trying to say.The consultant was explicitly told that fluffy corgis coat is not to be groomed. Consultant responded that they will only take a little from back of his paws and his butt as we requested. That was all. We also asked to clip his nails - they did but didn’t even offer to file them. And speaking about quality - his butt was trimmed poorly as he now has these cascading edges from cutting hair.He had lots of fur on sides of his head giving him a racoonish look - particular for fluffy corgis. It is gone and he really looks different now.

I have taken my dog Coco here a couple of times now for grooming. They have done a great job both times. Quick turn around and not a long wait to get a new booking. She is always excited to come and go here.

The Palms pet resort is a perfectly adequate place to leave an animal all day, and be certain it will survive. However, if you want a place to take your fur baby to have fun, and enjoy their day, this is not the place. Watching video footage of my dog's stay in daycare, I noticed several issues that I feel are substandard. By substandard, I mean I would not want a beloved member of my family to experience this. I will say in defense of most of the staff, that they were kind, but there were 4 staff members taking care of 40+ dogs. This may be sufficient to make sure all the dogs survive, but it doesn't give the staff the opportunity to give the dogs enough attention to ensure they are enjoying themselves. The space the dogs have available to them indoors is very, very cramped. So much so that there was clear frustration from the staff trying to figure out how to get the dogs separated for "nap time". Most of the dogs were unable to sleep, as they were on bare floor, shoved in random corners. All of these issues would have warranted a middle of the road review, however one of the staff was very rude, and didn't seem to even like animals. At this point I believe this person may have been a manager or even the owner. She seemed agitated by the animals around her, and treated customers and staff alike with disrespect. For this reason, I give the Palms 2 stars.

We love this place. Our pup seems to enjoy coming here. She happily goes with the staff. We bring her here whenever we travel, and are confident she'll be well cared for. It's pricey, but the care here is excellent. We've tried a couple of other places. The Palms is the best.

AMENDED REVIEW: Boarded my two small dachshunds there on their small dog day, Tuesday. There were some large dogs but mostly medium to small dogs. They did a great job of having multiple attendants that were very attentive to the dogs. I appreciated that they separated the dogs if some got too playful or reactive. Being able to view my two dogs on their camera app while under their care was also very comforting. Getting a report card about how their day went was also very cute.Older review: 8 HOURS, grooming took 8 hours. Plus one of my two dogs came home with clipper burns to his belly. Nothing was reported to me that he was pulling or that he was the cause of any issues. We have been taking our 2 dachshunds to this groomer for the past 2 years and their visits have been mostly good. This visit was unacceptable! I dont know if the groomers changed or ifthey were having a bad day but this was way too long for grooming. 2 stars for the 2 good years that my dogs have had there.

I’m giving this 2 stars, because the staff that is handling the dogs were very kind and helpful. However, I watched my dog on the cam the first day and I did not like a lot of what I saw. Too many dogs and not enough staff that is attentive enough. I never saw my dog get lunch but they said she was fed. Nap time looked like a nightmare. They just cleaned the floors and left them in made shift gated areas to sleep on the hard floor. They did not have proper kennels or space for all dogs. They did not have proper sleeping arrangements at all, guess bringing her a blanket did not make a difference. I watch my dog get stuck in the corner and of course (like most of the other dogs, she did not sleep). They just took mendable gates to lock in some dogs to lay down, some barely had enough space to lay down. Their dog daycare has some bad practices and when I called the front to ask about it to I simply inquire about how they handle things, I was met with an extremely rude person. I mentioned I was watching the cams and that seemed to upset her. Someone like that should not be working in a customer facing job at all. I immediately finished my lunch and picked up my dog, who at other daycares comes happy, my dog did not seem happy to have been left there. This was a test run for my dog and I won’t be bringing her back ever. Beware and watch your pet closely.

Terrible experience. We left our Labrador Retriever there for 10 days. When we got her back, she couldn’t bark and was hoarse. I called, throughout the stay, and I was told my dog wasn’t allowed to interact with the other dogs, because she was “being bossy and trying to herd.” I will never use this place again. Terrible experience and unsafe practices.

I have been going to The Palms Pet Resort for over ten years. Rachel was our groomer of choice throughout that time. She is dearly missed as she was a huge asset to the business. She took excellent care of my precious poodle, Sarah up until her passing in 2020. When Rachel retired, I tried a different grooming business for my other girl because The Palms is a bit pricey. The other business was just ok so I returned to The Palms. With the exception of Rachel, Amber gave my Creasy the best hair cut ever!!! She did an amazing job!! I am so happy I went back. Thank you Palms Pet Resort for giving me my picture perfect little pup. She looks amazing, smells fantastic and came home a happy little girl! 🐾💕

How does this place have no reviews?! Highly recommend!! I've tried out a few different dog groomers since we moved here and this is my final stop. My doodle looked his best he's looked in a year after going here. Front desk was so sweet and the groomer took very good care of my pup (especially considering I know he moves a lot during grooming). Very very good quality - Highly recommend

Our dog goes to playcare here occasionally during the week. They are always friendly, professional, clean, and my dog LOVES going here. I feel confident in his care while I am gone. They even have several cameras that you can log into while you are away and check on your puppy. That's always so sweet to see. I look forward to it! Great job, The Palms! 🌴

We have boarded our dog and cat and gotten our dog groomed here for 3 years now and I have nothing but wonderful comments! Super friendly staff that loves and cares for animals. Beautiful facilities. Probably on the higher priced end for grooming and boarding, but the quality of care is so worth the peace of mind when our family has to leave our pets for a bit. Also like that they work in tandem with the vet next door.

Update on my post below. The following morning after I posted the below I was contacted by the manager. He was very nice and wanted to see if he could fix the problem. I told him how everything unfolded. At this point he scheduled me an appointment to fix my dog’s hair and gave me a refund. This morning I went in and the head groomer spoke with me and looked over my dog. When I went in to pick him up. He was a good as could be. The haircut was completely fix and he looks great. Thank you for being a good and understanding business.Very uneven and choppy haircut throughout the hole body. The main problem was I dropped him off at 8:30 am, then received a call at 2:17 pm telling me he had to many knots to keep his skirt. Even though I knew he only had 3 small knots I told them they could trim him down shorter than I wanted. Then at 3 o’clock when they close, I pick him up with the worst cut we have ever gotten him in 8 years. On the up side they seam to be nice and friendly. Just rushed through my dog. Seams like a nice place just make sure they really have time for your dog. Good luck

My dogs current groomer location is temporary closed for repairs. My baby dog was in desperate need of being g groomed. We have came to the Palms several years ago and was satisfied so I decided to use the again.HUGE HUGE MISTAKE. For one the cost was $125 which is ridiculous. But my biggest pain point was my beautiful Pomeranians fur was all cut off!!! The cut length example they have displayed is not a true representation of what length they are cutting actually is. I would have thought the groomer would think to clarify and confirm since the dog is a Pomeranian if I wanted him to be shaved . when I picked him up I was in tears. The groomer even made the comment she was saying to herself is she sure she wants me to cut his hair off. Really then say something! Ask to confirm .He looks horrible not to mention this type breed it is likely his coat will not grow back the same. I am in shock and so upset . I will admit they made right by not charging me for the service. NEVER will I go back and will not recommend this place for your dog to be groomed

We love doggy play care, so we tried grooming here. Horrible… I showed her a picture of what I usually get for her and she looking nothing like the picture. In fact I don’t think they actually cut most of her. $80 for nothing but some choppy hair on top her head.

Very friendly staff and clean facilities! My cat loves coming here and doesn't want to leave when I come pick her up. The staff knew exactly which cat was mine and had great things to say about her. The staff is also very easy to work with and are understanding if you need to last minute change the days your pet stays or if you need to extend the stay.

Took my dog for grooming, as a return customer. He looks and smells amazing - and he's in such a good mood when i pick him up! The attention they give to my pet is so appreciated! The manager was very kind, as were all the employees who spoke to me. I highly recommend The Palms.

I brought my domestic longhair cat to remove some mats and to get a lion shave. I knew that it was going to be expensive since my cat was going to need to be sedated (with anesthesia). The total was about $400. Very pricey, but sort of expected. The groomers did a shoddy job. My cat still had mats and the shave looked very messy. There was absolutely no excuse for this, especially since they had a cat that was out cold and not wriggling. For the quality, this place is completely overpriced. I do not recommend getting your pet groomed here. The only pro is that the staff was friendly.

Used them for a week stay for my two extra large girls and seriously the best stay in SA for them. Rest at easy knowing a DR checks them daily and he's the best one we've met! comparable prices to everyone else with more benefits!
