They have good products here, and great brand of dog food that my dogs love to eat. We go here to get their food called Activa. They have supplements you can add to the food, and they mix it right there at the store. I have a German Shepard that has hip and joint issues, so we get the hip and joint supplement added. He's doing better with this food mixture, and now loves to run and play again.

I called this location today and spoke with Arianna. I had alot of questions for her about different dog foods and which one would be best for my pups. She was extremely helpful and patient with me. Amazing customer service! Thank you Arianna for going above and beyond to help me.

The store was very clean and well organized. The clerk was friendly and helpful. This store is in Helotes and they have live mice for feeding and will help so much to not only have frozen mice options at the other local pet stores.

I've been buying their dog food brand for years, because I think it's one of the best deals in town. Good quality food n now it's even better. Tailor each bag by adding different flavors,oils, vitamins all for no additional cost.

Awesome customer service and variety of great products! Love the fact I can customize Georgia’s food. She also loves the all natural homemade biscuits.

I was so excited to try the custom Pet's Barn dog food, for my roommate's rescue! She's been eating generic dry dog food, and this gives her some flavor, added nutrients, and care, for her personality.You get to pick a protein, and then tell the Sales Rep, about your pet's personality, age, and breed. Then, they mix it all together, and seal it. It was neat to watch, and the staff was incredibly helpful!

They care and know their stuff! Mason helped me find the perfect harness for my dog and trimmed his nails for me since I'm always scared to do it myself. Mason was super friendly and kind to my pupper. Will definitely be my go to pet shop!

Poor experience. 2 young kids, male/female minimally attended. Said they did not carry what I asked for then as I looked around found many of the exact type of things for the animal type requested. Meanwhile, they chatted in the front of the store never to accompany me to check around and help even though the store was empty of customers. Sadly, it will probably stay that way. Yikes, don’t bother.. rather go a little further for better service.

The service at this Pet"s Barn is outstanding.The young people who work there are always willing to help this disabled person to take her purchases to the car. I stop by here to pick up the Six Fish food that they adore mixed with their veterinary prescribed food.I used to do the same for my mobility dog when he was alive. He had a thing for seafood! Hopefully, I'll get another service dog, and Pet's Barn will see more of me again!

Limited selection, prices much higher than competitors, no wonder it's a ghost town in there. Staff friendly but set up for failure by the business model.

I find it funny how every time my friend and I get crickets they change the price. It raises by 2-5 dollars depending on whose working. They’re rude as hell in that store and hound you with questions that are none of their businesses. The animals that’s they have for sale are kept in unsanitary enclosures that are overcrowded. Will not go back rather drive the extra 10 minutes to the potranco location.

I agree with the ones who said that they have poor customer service.I went in looking for supplies for a turtle tank, and no other customers in site.I walk in, got no greeting, and I'm walking around the store looking for a certain section, when I finally find that section I'm there looking at items and I hear the workers greet someone as they come in.So as I'm there still looking, I hear someone behind, I turn and look and it's a worker "stocking" and facing me, checking if I'm going to steal some big tank, instead of asking, "do you need help sir?"Maybe I need to be pale and pasty to get help from this place.

This is definately my go-to supply store. Without all the extra little critters to distract you, its definately a more organic based store focused on pet wellnes. The employees are very knowledgeable of their inventory, even asking if there is any any ailments to consider. You wouldn't guess this was a chain store by going inside.

My kids and I were looking at the rabbits and on of the associates was very helpful. She let the kids hold the rabbits and gave them some links to look at on rabbit care. Very awesome experience.
