The ladies I have encountered on every single visit have been so pleasant and accommodating. I've been here no fewer than 5x. I bring my dogs for nail trims and gland expressions. They are always so gentle with my dramatic pups. 🐶

I have two elderly dogs, and we’ve been coming here for years. One gets shaved down a few times a year and he always looks so cute after. Happy Paws does a great job every time, and my dogs are always so excited to go here, and are at ease and run right in. They’ll even file the nails down and give them a good teeth brushing for a small fee. The staff treats them so sweet, we just love it here. Thank you!

I had booked for my dog to receive a wash and haircut from another local grooming business, but they neglected to save my appointment in their system after our call, forcing me to find another alternative at the very last minute. Happy Paws was one of two salons that were able to squeeze my dog in same day, and I am forever grateful. When I called, the groomer was so kind and willing to work to make all pets comfortable. My dog went in so anxious but seemed so much more happy at pick up. The only detractor was the obvious razor lines on my dog's coat, to which the groomer explained was likely due to his coat being quite dry, probably due to allergies. The prices were the best and I would definitely take my little guy here again for his future wash and cuts. I also happened to meet the owners and they were so kind!

I brought a Goldendoodle mess to be groomed. She was in horrible shape with matting all over. I knew it was going to be a tough one to groom. But Happy Paws groomers performed a miracle and was able to actually save some of her fur. I was thrilled when I saw her. I definitely recommend Happy Paws for grooming. I will be bringing her back from now on along with my Labradoodle.

Price to board puppy was great. They took really good care of our puppy Lilly & she seemed to really like it there. If we ever need someone to watch our puppy again well will taking her back here.

We had to find a new groomer for our dog due to moving out of San Antonio. Tried Happy Paws and was very happy with their services. Our little one was trimmed the way we asked and his coat was soft and smelled wonderful. The staff was friendly. We will use them going forward for his grooming needs.

My 2 Pekingese dogs loved the groomer. She held them and made them at ease while we discussed type of cut and grooming service. They were cut exactly like i wanted and the price was a 1/3 what i paid for mobile grooming service.

Absolutely satisfied with this place. Melanie the groomer is amazing. The young lady at front desk is so very nice. Owner and spouse Barbara are very involved and nice individuals. I highly recommend Happy Paws! My babies Daisy & Maia come out smiling..Love it!!!

I used to go Lucy’s doggy day care but it got way too expensive so I decided to give this one a try. They are absolutely amazing and super sweet. My dog has separation anxiety and stuck his head under the fence, and he cut his eye. But Jack (the owner I believe) called me when it happened took care of my fur baby and took him to the vet got his medications. And the they gave him his medication during his stay, applied his ointment to his eye, and each time I would call they were super timely. But this has been the best experience with the workers and the business in general. Thank you for taking such good care of my Otis, y’all are amazing ❤️

Brought my Maltese here I was told his hair was matted. I picked him up completely shaved to his skin cuts and irritation all over his body and was charged 75$. Helgas pet grooming on culebra is the place everyone should consider for dogs with long coats! Good prices and great groomers

My sister has her dog Sebastian groomed here on a regular basis. When I'm in San Antonio I know it's the place to go to have your Pooch groomed and beautified by the sweetest people on the planet. This particular time I just had nails clipped. The next time I go down I'm going to see if they can give her a good haircut. These are the people to call for sure!

The best groomers ever! They treat my babies so well. My dogs are happy and well taken care of. Petco and Petsmart scared by dogs so bad they would pee and poop from anxiety going in there and they made my dogs nails bleed! All of them. This place has been a blessing and I hope you never go out of business!!

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and needed to find a dog groomer to give our Shorkie (Shih Tzu, Yorkie) a bath and a light trim. We chose one based on location, and we were absolutely delighted with the work they performed! He looked wonderful! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the cost was very reasonable. We are very happy with "Happy Paws".

I take my shitzu Stanley there for a lamb cut approximately every 6 weeks. They do a fantastic job every single time. What I love most is that, he isn’t scared and shivering when I go to drop him off.

If I could give the operation 0 stars I would. I had 2nd thoughts when I first walked through the door because the smell hits you in the face right when you walk in the door. Smells of urine. I just moved to the area and occasionally board my dog so I wanted to give them a chance. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed & a big mistake. 2 weeks prior to boarding my dog, she had been to the vet & had a full checkup & had a clean bill of health. The day I picked my do up from Happy Paws, she was not her normal active self & when we got home she was throwing up & just wanted to lay down. She went from throwing up to having runny stools as day progressed. It took her 3 days to recover. I am not sure if they may have left her outside in the heat too long or gave her bad water or what happened but I will NEVER use them again and if you love your pets I would strongly suggest you do not either.

Our Sophie (older Schnauzer) loves how beautiful and clean she is after the gals at Happy Paws finish with her!! They groom her perfectly every time and are so very sweet and loving!!

Seemed to have fun while there but 4 days later his skin is still so raw from the unnecessary shaving they did that he has to have medicated lotion. The vet we go to who saw him the day before we came here even said it wasn't necessary. He's miserable and has to have a cone at night to prevent licking.

The people seem really nice; the place looks good enough for an outside dog. My dog is up to date on everything including flea and tick prevention. Unfortunately, after four nights at Happy Paws she came back to me, not only full of fleas, but also with a large raw and hairless rash on her neck. Something like this should have been explained to me, but I guess what I don t know won t hurt me, right? I found that sore tonight at home. God knows what else I ll find during the day. I hate that I m afraid to be outside with my dog, that I can t bring her in because I m afraid I ll get fleas all over me and my cat. I expected her to be dirty, but I didn t expect this. The ten dollars a night seem too good to be true. Well, seems like they are. We will see what the vet says tomorrow. I will NEVER again skimp out and take my dog there again. Also, don t think about taking your cats either; they re kept in a closet. That s why I didn t take mine there. The people seem so nice I even tipped ten dollars. Of course that was before finding out the mistake I had made. I m sad to have to write a review like this. If anything else comes up at the vet, be sure I will update. Those at Happy Paws will be hearing from me. I am so disappointed.

Took my dog in at 9:00 in the morning and told she would be ready at 1:00. Called at 1:00 and they said it would be 3:00. He undercoat was still damp and that is not good for her type of breed. Will not be going back. Plus, prices have gone up tremendously. Maybe be cause of Covid but everyone has financially been hit by Covid.

Unprofessional and unkempt, the inside smells as though they don't even take the time to clean the business. My small dog received a clipped ear among other injuries done by people who don't care.
