Good home cooking, friendly staff, and well priced. We had a group of 12, with 6 adults and 6 children and we were well taken care of by the staff. Facilities were clean, well organized, and perfect for enjoying our lunch together. The food was so delicious and fresh! Large assortment of souvenirs, treats, and crafts for sale. Live music, special events, and take out desserts make this an ideal stop for all occasions.

A little out of the way, but well with the drive! Ordered the burger on the jalapeno bun. Highly recommend the extra one dollar upgrade. Tried both the coconut cream pie and the apple tart with ice cream for dessert. Both were delicious, but the apple tart was PHENOMENAL! Will drive back there just for dessert. The owner was very attentive and helpful. They also have a nice selection of boutique style clothing and cute home decor.

We found Edge General Store from a Facebook post. It was a 45 minute drive from Shiro, but so worth it. The atmosphere is precious, the food was delicious, and the owner and employee were so friendly. So much history in the building, we loved it. Great gift items as well!We will be back. 😊

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place on Saturday. We had gone to the Aggieland Safari and we were looking for a place to eat. I highly recommend this place if you go to the Safari as it was only a 6 minute drive. The store was super cool and really rich in history. I had a bacon burger and my boyfriend had a chicken sandwich and the food was really good. It was really cool looking around the store and they also had a little garden area you can buy plants from. The people were super nice and it was a great place to unwind after a lot of activity. It's a unique place of history that has great food and lovely people.

Delicious burger joint and a good atmosphere for an outdoor lunch. The interior was closed but we were able to get delicious burgers and shakes. They’ve got picnic tables set up for outdoor dining by the pond.

Best burger ever! In the middle between nothing and no where is this rustic little metal store. Yes you should stop. It's awesome! The food and desserts are amazing! If you ask yourself is it worth the drive. Yes. Yes it is worth the drive.

Was worth the drive, without a doubt. I would give it 6 stars in every category! The food was very tasty, the sweet tea is made like sweet tea is supposed to be made. Big thumbs up on the home made pies and malts. Everyone was friendly and sociable.Parking: I imagine at peak time it could be a little crowded, but we went one hour before closing on a Friday night and it was perfect.

Thanks Edge General Store for having a pumpkin patch that everyone can enjoy!! The burger on the jalapeno bun is a must try. We elected to eat outside at the picnic table, they have signs posted no pets allowed, we are grateful for that as one of our children was attacked by a dog and it's scary. They also have some amazing desserts, we had the pumpkin cheesecake Pie and a peanut butter Pie, they are so amazing!! We will definitely be coming back!!

I love their hamburgers, and from what I hear their steaks are wonderful also. And they have take out! This is a great option for our family. But what makes this place really special is their great customer service. They have even arranged a large pumpkin patch with scare crows, hay bales, the works! A beautiful place for fall/halloween pictures. And it is open for all to enjoy, with NO admission fee! Did I say they really take care of their customers? Update 8/5/22- this place keeps improving. They have a large selection of items that are great as gifts. They also have added a/c units to their covered area. And the decor is very nice and very country. A great place for a nice, relaxed meal.

Finally made it, had a cheeseburger with bacon and it was hot and fresh, loved every bite.I had a chocolate malt that was delicious!About the place: order and pick up at a window (they gave us a beeper to notify when ready). There were several picnic tables under shade trees. Pets not allowed. Plenty of parking at lunchtime.

Great customer service and food!We came out for dinner and to pick a pumpkin. Placed our order and while we waited, we roamed the scarecrows and cute Halloween displays. Ate our burgers and BBQ on the picnic tables outside and felt very safe. Great night out!

Don't waste your afternoon. We drove out to the edge scare crow stroll for a family day. Apparently after driving 30 minutes out of town we found out quickly that dogs weren't allowed we offered to leave as it wasn't posted anywhere on their website or event poster and it's OUTSIDE. We were told the dog wasn't a problem and then after we gave them our money, suddenly the dog was non negotiable and we had to leave immediately. What the hell. This is extremely rude and unprofessional, have something posted on the event site especially if it's for families and then be consistent. If we offer to leave don't tell us it's okay just long enough for us to pay you then kick us out. That's so rude. We will not be back. You ruined what should have been a fun family memory.

I just visited the edge country store and got a hamburger with some lay's potato chips and a cookies and cream shake. Let me tell you, I am impressed. I read a review earlier this morning that the shakes were amazing specifically the cookies and cream. I just happen to be out at my dear least today and have eaten here once before, but I wasn't that hungry so I only got something small. But today I got the burgers and chips with a cookies and cream shake and it was amazing just as everybody has described. I hope the general store part of this establishment open soon because I would love to experience what it has to hold. This place shouldn't change a thing and needs to be extremely proud of their burgers as they are amazingly delicious and easily make my top 5 burgers.

I love this place! They serve great food and great service. My favorite is an Oreo shake with a burger on seeded bun! So delicious. On Saturday nights they serve huge bone-in ribeye dinners. They have delicious apple tarts to add on as well as many other dessert choices. I eat there at least twice a week!UPDATE: They are currently offering a daily lunch special. Today I had Southwest Soup with cornbread! What a delicious meal. I may be there every day to eat lunch!!!

Easily makes my top 3 burgers list. I get a double cheese burger on the jalapeno bun and it is amazing. The store also has a number of keepsakes, useful products, and clothes that you can look through when done eating. Service is also fantastic.
