Welcome spot to stop for lunch. Pluses: sturdy tables with canopies. Plenty of dumpsters. Possibility of rattlesnake sighting. Minuses: not everyone uses the dumpsters, plenty of trash. No restrooms. And we didn’t find a rattlesnake. Thanks to Mennonites for providing this service.

Enough parking for a safety rest area. No facilities. Trash receptacles are onsite. Do not purchase water at the store down the road. One gallon of water is 4 Dollars. There is a lot of big rig traffic on this highway causing noise. Safe travels everyone. from the little blue jeep.

There is nothing extravagant about this picnic area, it is clean and it has a small pond. Trash cans are not all in place or evenly spaced out. No water or WC, only benches to sit and eat. A few grasshoppers wanted to get in on the picnic area.

I’m a truck driver I prefer to stay at rest stops rather than truck stops. I feel safe there. No one’s ever bothered me in the bathrooms are clean.

Super clean bathrooms, and the dogs loved the grassy knolls to potty. Nice place to stop, and safe as well. Will stop here again.

Very nice park lots of Room for parking and very nice pavilions for Having a picnic be sure to bring your basket, I didn't notice if they had barbecue grills or not but I think they do, As always when you're there with your children keep an eye on them lots of traffic coming in-and-out and always watch for snakes especially in this area there are a lot of rattlesnakes it is kind of cool for them still this time a year but during the summer months be aware and alert always be vigilant when having your children with you. I am an over the road truck driver I like to leave reviews for people to experience wonderful experiences based on my review. I hope you enjoy your experience at Hartley park.

The picnic area is very nice. We stopped to eat lunch and sat under one of the covered areas. The area was active with a lot of birds flying around and landing in the bushes. The picnic area is well maintained. There are no restrooms.

Texas has some beautiful rest areas. This is not one of them. There are plenty if trash cans and some picnic tables, but no restrooms. Lots of broken glass, so be careful with dogs.

NO BATHROOM FACILITIES, but great place to stop and stretch out or pet stop. Plenty of grassy area for pets to roam about. 4 separate covered picnic table areas. Was told by a local to keep an eye out for rattle snakes in the area but did not see any during our stop. Just be cautious!

Nice big area, plenty parking for trucks. Only thing is there are NO lights. That may be a concern to some but didn't bother me. Nice and quiet.

It's a place to park better than anything in Colorado. Like most public parking places, filthy,discusting people throw trash on the ground. Right next to train crossing. You get to hear trains all night..

Was nice.dark and quiet. Great place to stop on the way home. I lived in the town dalhart for 2 years. There where 6700 people in the town when I was there in1995

It was one of the few rest areas we found on our drive across Texas. It needed some care and we've seen better rest stops but we were glad we found it.

In the middle of nowhere. Easy to miss at night. Yes it needs care and has some traffic from a merging cross road. But it was there when I needed it.
