HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wonderful, One of a kind experience!!! My husband and I had traveled to Texas, had a family emergency and did not know where to go with our daughter's dog. After a search on google, we stumbled upon the Texas Pet Resort. Kamron answered the phone and was insatiably kind & helpful. We boarded the dog for close to 2 weeks and would highly recommend this business. Kamron is one of the most caring "dog people" I have ever met & went above and beyond the call of duty to help out my family with a difficult situation.

I cannot say enough, positively, about this establishment. The level of professionalism, and genuine care for our dog was outstanding. Our Husky “Luka” has never looked so good after being groomed by Texas Pet Resort and Grooming. He’s hands down the most handsome Husky in the RGV now. We’ll continue to support this LOCALLY OWNED business because of the level of detail they provided for our pet. Give ‘em try!

My dog came back with massive patches of skin infection on her face and legs and is now on three different types of antibiotics. The pictures show swelling and infection on her snout, under her eye, redness around the mouth, legs and teeth. The manager said he didn’t see any of that while under their care, and apologized after I left bad reviews and paid for her vet, meds and refunded me, but my dog was crying when I picked her up and was so dirty after I just got her a bath the weekend right before. She also has brown stains all over her teeth from what the vet says looks like rust or dirt from chewing on a gate. She’s now recovering from the infection and is just not the same. Please do not leave your animals here for boarding.

0/10 recommend.First thing that was a red flag was the curbside and not letting customers inside to see where their pups will be staying. We picked up our dog around 4pm and he acted like he hadn’t been outside at all that day, or atleast since the morning. They claimed he wasnt friendly so they wouldn’t give him a bath which our dog is the most friendly pup, he’s been boarded and groomed plenty of times and we never had any issues. He was covered in his own filth so we gave him a bath as soon as we brought him home, and he also given the wrong dog food and has now been in pain ever since. You’d think the owners would call if they had any questions. TRUST YOUR GUT when it comes to leaving your fur babies in the right hands.

wonderful experience with both individuals who run this facility which i was initially hesitant about because my pup has a big personality with A TON of energy. we will remain long time customers because my pup always comes home happy and healthy (stays vary from 2 days to 8 days). staff is accommodating if I have to extend my pet’s stay, they answer the phone promptly, and even helped me retrieve my silly, stubborn puppy after he went running around the yard when it was time to go. i recommend this place to my friends as well.

I have been taking my dog to Texas Pet Resort for quite some time. My Dodger enjoys going to his Spa day. Again I have been taking Dodger and my previous Dog for many years. Cameron and his staff have always been very good with my dogs. Texas Pet Resort was recommended by my co-worker and I am most grateful for this resort. I do understand some pets will not thrive with certain people, but for me Texas Pet Resort has treated my animals very well. I will never forget the first time I left my dog during Thanksgiving break. I called and asked for pictures. Texas Pet Resort quickly sent me photos and I was more at eased. My current dog a German Shepard went to Spa day on Monday. It had been a few months, since he had a spa day. My dog, Dodger went with so much ease and excitement, I was very surprised but yet happy. When I retrieved Dodger later on in the day, he was happy to return. We as a family enjoy this place for our Dodger. I have tried him at another place, but Dodger was not happy. Again some dogs do not do well at certain resorts but for Dodger this is his resort. Thank you, Cameron and your staff for always accommodating him and making him feel love. Always much appreciation.

Amazing experience, the owner went ABOVE and beyond to help my rescue when we had an incident at another boarding kennel, picking up the dogs we had and bringing them to the vet to make sure they were okay. We were far away and had they not stepped up to help I really don't know what would have happened. Highly recommend this boarding. This is my third positive experience using this kennel.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Terrible experience! Horrible customer service, gave one price over the phone and charged another upon arrival. Never got to see the installation, they never answered the phone after leaving him there. Our dog smelled terrible at the time of pickup so we had to bathe him right after. They lost one of his toys also. Our dog now shivers at night, something he never did even with thunder or fireworks. Our dog now constantly has his tail in between his legs (something he never did) in fear of something. We don’t know what happened to him during his stay but I wouldn’t recommend taking your dog to this place! We have never had our dog in such bad shape after any boarding.

Best experience at a groomer by far. You walk in and are treated with such professionalism. They treat your pets with such patience. My dogs never get the “military” hair cut look that most groomers give. They always come out looking so happy and healthy. Definitely think my dogs prefer the staff at the pet resort over myself. You can’t help but feel like family. You won’t be disappointed! I know I’m not.

I brought in my 2 dogs on Thursday for boarding. I asked them to keep me updated every day. They weren’t letting us inside which is very suspicious. I messaged them multiple times every day and they didn’t reply. I called them to ask for pictures and they said they were busy and they said that they would send them eventually. They didn’t.After we got them on Monday my shih tzu was in shock. My Belgian malinoise was literally shaking. Not only that but they had the worst smell ever. My big dog lost several pounds of weight too. Usually when I take the dogs in the car they are reluctant, but this time they got in as fast as they could. As if they were begging to leave. And the man that gave us the dogs smelled like cigarettes.I live 40 minutes away and I came here because it was the only place available. 0 starts if I could.

I love Cameron and his staff! They treat my fur babies like their own. We have a toy poodle and have been everywhere from Brownsville to McAllen and noone cut his hair the way I like it except Texas Pet Resort.Will not go anywhere else.

I havent taken my dog there yet (i will update my review after i do if need be) but I have called and spoke with them quite a few times and every time i call the phone is answered promptly and professionally. The gentlemen I talk to is always very nice. We are taking our husky to be boarded in a couple weeks. Their requirements for shot records reassures me that they do truly care about our pets health. I am looking forward to using this company. Keep up the good work

We hesitantly left our 5 month old ShihTzu, Cooper, for his first full groom. He is very active so i was concerned about him holding still so he could get a nice even clip all over. I was very impressed with the results of his grooming. Even his face was clipped perfectly. I would highly recommend Texas Pet Resort & Grooming Spa.

We boarded our dog here because of our procrastination (all others were booked) and the price was reasonable. We were also told they are not kenneled all day which was a plus. I am not sure if we will go back. The location needed some yard maintenance, as the grass was at least 2ft high and had me worried about ticks or other pests. Our dog was there over a week so they said he got a free bath. We picked him up and he was still very wet and had fur clumped everywhere. He is a Labrador so this happens if he isn't properly dried and not brushed at all. We've had him bathed at other grooming locations and they always get the excess fur off that comes loose while bathing. He came home safely, but we would not use them again.

Outstanding! The staff here are so friendly and eager to help in any way they can! They truly go above and beyond to ease the anxiety normally associated with boarding a pet. Within minutes of meeting the staff I knew our sweet puppy was in good hands! My husband and I work 12 hour shifts and there was no way we could drop our dog off during the day. Cameron went out of his way to meet us after closing hours to make it convenient for us to drop Bear off. Cannot give this place enough stars for customer service. And most importantly, Bear had a blast! I know we will always trust Texas Pet Resort to take care of our Bear!

Horrible customer service! They use COVID as an excuse to not show customers their installations but they don’t bother wearing a mask when approaching you. Our dog was very happy and confident before going to this place and now doesn’t even want to play with us or with his toys ,constantly shakes and shivers. We can’t imagine what could’ve happened in 7 days of boarding that could change his behavior so dramatically. I am still waiting to have answers on what happened. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

DO NOT recommend this place at all!! Left our 4 cats for a week and when we picked them up they all smelled like urine! They gave the sorry excuse that when they are in distress they lay in their own urine. We have boarded them at other kennels before and never had this issue. Maybe the distress came from the bad feeling they had at this location!! On top of that we got half of the food servings we had measured for their daily feedings back. So were they not fed, don’t think so because they were very hungry when they got home. I will NEVER take my pets there again!!!

I got an appt within the next day. They were good about following safety protocols. They welcomed my GSD with much care. My dog was there for a few hours and when I picked her she looked GREAT and beautiful! They took such good care of my GSD. I will definitely be back! We had her bathed, blow dry, nail trim and ear cleaning! She looked fabulous. My dog was happy! 🌞😊

We spent the winter near Harlingen and brought our dog to Texas Pet Resort for grooming. We got our dog from a rescue and he is extremely timid. The staff there was very sensitive to him and took their time with him during our first visit so he would not be so frightened. They even let us see the facilities where he would be groomed and invited us to calm him when he was on the grooming table. He looked so nice when he was done. Our visits after that were not so traumatic for him .You could tell he was treated with sensitivity. The people in our park recommended the groomer to us and they did not steer us wrong. I plan to use Texas Pet resort when we come next year.

Great resort with friendly staff! I've taken my dog to board here several times when going out of town and they've always had or made accommodations for my pet. They'll play with him, let him get in the pool on hot days, and supply food if needed. They're very professional and make sure your dog and other dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations. They offer a tour of the facility if you'd like to see how it works.

Love this place. Drop off my pup Nico there everyday before work. They take great care of him. He gets plenty of attention and spends the day playing with his friends by the pool. They do a great job by helping socialize the dogs so they all get along. Wonderful group of people as well. One of the best parts is when I pick him up at the end of the day he has had plenty of exercise and is ready to lay down and relax, just like me! I highly recommend and so does Nico! They do great holiday pictures too.

I would not recommend this pet resort to anybody. My one dog went in perfectly fine and came out limping. It is obvious that somebody at the resort kick him while he was there. I previously boarded my dogs they're under the old management and was perfectly satisfied but now that the new management took over one star is even too high of a rating for it. Some of the employees are good but it doesn't make up for the fact that someone there obviously mistreats the animals.

I have been going to Texas Pet Resort since they became the owners a number of years ago. Kamron and his staff are top notch very accommodating and a pleasure to do business with. Most important of all is the great care they take with my 3 dogs. The dogs truly enjoy being there. The groomer is very good the dogs look so nice after they get groomed. I have recommended Tx Pet Resort to my friends and will continue to recommend them. It gives us a great peace of mind knowing our pups are in good hands when we are out of town. Keep up the great work.
