Today was the first time that I brought my dog to Pretty Paws. First of all, they got her done really quickly which is important to me because she has arthritis and is an older dog and being in a kennel isn’t good on her older body. Time was the number one reason I stopped going to the other place which would take hours and consequently the dog would spend too much time kenneled and unable to move freely and would end up in pain for a few days after grooming. This place did an exceptional job on her. They were friendly on the phone when I made her appointment, professional when I showed up to my appointment and my dog smells good, looks good and is not in any type of pain because they did her quickly! This is definitely my go to place. Thank you. Thank you! THANK YOU!

By far the best place in town for my fur baby. Goes in happy and comes out happy! I believe Chris is the best groomer I've ever dealt with. She not only dresses my puppy with bows every time but she also pays attention to the little things. 5 Star all day.

We had a very matted rescued dog and werent sure how she would react. We had gotten most mats out but she needed to be neaten up and made prettier. Chris asked what we wanted done and i said a puppy cut if you can. She did and this little girl looks amazing and was not stressed at all when we picked her up.

Just noticed our dog received some cuts from his grooming appointment and was not notified. I know he went in with knots but the least they could have done was inform me of the situation. I know it isn't easy grooming dogs and I'm not judging their service but seeing my baby with cuts and imagining his pain does not sit right with me. I would have appreciated a heads up. I never had a problem with Pretty Paws before until this last appointment. Sorry but I will not be returning. I've learned my lesson, check your fur babies before they leave any groomers. Pretty Paws I hope you use this as a life lesson as well.

I went to give my Yorkie the summer cut because his hair was tangled, and they told me he was ready, and I went to go pick him up and everything was fine, brought him home and a few hours later I look down and see he has a huge cut on his back covered by the bandana they put on him. They didn’t even tell me they cut him when they gave him to me, i tried making it back before they closed but I arrived 3 minutes late and the place was empty. I just wish they would’ve told me they cut my dog and maybe given me my money back.Response to owner:I do notice the rash on my dog but if you can give me an email, I can provide you a picture of the cut on his back because I can assure you it isn’t his rash, his hair is missing and it’s a patch of blood, I’m assuming the size of the clippers used to cut his hair.

We've been taking our maltipoo pup Bridgette to Pretty Paws for some time and they do such an awesome job! Their prices are pretty fair and reasonable! The best part is that our pup Bridgette comes back very happy, super playful and so beautiful! Compared to the other places we used to take her to; she usually seemed very nervous and a bit scared. I highly recommend this place, it definitely is one of the best through out the Rio Grande Valley, surely you will not be disappointed at all! Plus our little girl pup BRIDGETTE LOVES IT!!

I've been taking my cocker spaniel there since she was a pup. Shes 10 now and I luv the care they have given her. They have even called and asked if they could cut her shorter in places she needed it. Thank you for the luv and care you have given her.

Just found out they were grooming and they would squeeze nails in. Elated, we rushed right down and got them clipped. Just took a minute or two, literally. Jasper was so overdue for a nail trim and I was so pleased to find someone open! Clean facility, smells nice.

Just had a bath. Found out we needed a flea dip. Glad that was taken care of immediately. They kept my dogs while my apartment was treated by the exterminator, which was nice. One thing I found a little off-putting was that the lady "joked" about me not taking my dogs out in the morning because my dog pottied inside (they have a sign about it, as if anyone can control that). My dogs go out every morning at 8am, but my girl has anxiety and potties in every building we enter. She acted a little neurotic about my son taking two trips to clean the mess, too. I'm sensitive to high-strung behavior, so I'll probably go to Pooches Corner in the future.

As a first time pet owner, I'm clueless when it comes to grooming. I called and set up an appointment to get my pup groomed because I cut his hair on my own and he wouldn't let me finish the front of his body or around his head. My fiancé dropped him off the next day. They gave him an attitude and asked "who did this to him" he explained we tried grooming him ourselves. They trimmed his face, the front of his body and trimmed his nails. When he picked up our pup they told him "his hair might not grow back the way it should". They advised him to feed him quality food and get a multivitamin. They threw in their 2 cents that my pup had a "head issue", meaning he won't let people touch his head. Well he is 10 weeks and it is his first time going to the groomers. Of course he's not going to sit still. As first time parents to a pup and shih tzu breed we were panicked. I'm crying my face off feeling guilt because I may have ruined his hair, so I head to a local pet store and explain my situation in tears and they explain that it was all going to be okay. That he's a puppy and his hair would definitely grow back, and it was a learning experience and we all make mistakes. The following day he goes to the vet for vaccines and the tech explained the same thing. His hair would definitely grow back. I'm very unhappy with the way the situation was handled. They were judgmental rather than helpful. I'm taking my business else where.

They know our puppy is a precious family member. I feel safe after leaving him in their care to be groomed. Especially after having a bad experience with another Harlingen groomer near Harlingen pets (not at Harlingen Pets) where I felt terrible afterwards for trusting my pup to be in their care. I did like and use pooches corner but then a different groomer was used and he came back with cuts. I know when he is at Pretty Paws he is treated well and taken care of while being groomed. They are allowed to be in a room and not just held in a cage for hours. Only place I will use from now on.

I use to take my Maltipoo mix to a different groomer. Makenzie would panic and tremble with fear as soon as we would get there. Once we would enter the building she would try desperately to hang on to me and looked so sad as I literally pulled her off of me to hand her over to the groomer. Needless to say that broke my heart. Therefore, I brought her here. She doesn't mind coming here and looks happy when I leave her as well as when she is done. Thanks so much for providing her a positive and pleasant experience when she is here.
