Best donuts in town! Light, fluffy and irresistible. Best apple fritters with chunks of apple in the fritter. Also love the cream cheese filled triangle donuts! Been eating these since 2014 and never disappointed except when they run out.

So we've been looking for a new Barbacoa joint and I decided to try Alejandro's.Backstory: I love Del Albas in San Benito due to the fresh Lengua. Since we moved we haven't had Barbacoa in 4 months.Comparing both Barbacoas, Alejandors is drier and not as tasteful. I ordered the Especial and Lengua. The Lengua was SUPER dry and I had to remove the excess skin that surrounds the meat. Even then, it was dry. Salsa was super watery. Didn't add any taste whatsoever. Had to mix both types of meats to get some sort of taste. From now on, I will make the drive to San Benito. Till then, the search continues for a good Barbacoa place in Harlingen.Positive: Bread selection. Tortillas. Get there early. Line by 7AM.

Went to pick up some tacos this morning and must've gotten a new cook. Potatoes ala Mexicana are usually very soft and well cooked and today they were like most restaurants where they seem to rush them and are usually hard and flavorless. The bean taco my wife got she said tasted like it had a burnt flavor. 👎on top of all that they were very small tacos with very little filling.😞

The barbacoa has gone to hell I would Not mind if you raised your price if I got barbacoa. But when you try to pass regular meat as barbacoa de cabeza you insult me. Barbacoa de cabeza does not look like this.

Good food, wait is long. Today however when girl grabbed my menudo she loosened the lid. Got home, menudo all over front seat. Very hard to clean up, very greasy.

Have been here several times (about 5) for various things. From sweet bread (Pan Dulce), to lunch tacos, tamales, or barbacoa and tortillas!!! This place has not disappointed me yet! Had two small tables to dine in and eat your fresh made food. Right around from the American Legion where we can easily get food for our guys to eat after or before the funeral details we constantly have.

Really like this place for tamales and sweet bread. Classic panaderia with a pretty large assortment of bread. They have about 6 different tamale flavors and out of the three that I've tasted, can say they are pretty good. Not too oily or greasy with good flavor and not too much masa to contents ratio. Lot of other little snacks and drinks, overall 5 stars

Great bread, one of the best in town. The bread is big but it is sold by weight so be careful on how much you buy. The tamales and carnitas are pretty awesome but go early because they run out. If the young man is at the register expect to be in line a long time as he chit chats and stops what he's doing while he does this. Don't buy eggs here because they switch out the large eggs for the smaller ones. We noticed right away!

Nice people , they open early and I'm thankful for that and the quality of the barbacoa is good except one thing , I don't think they season it and I wish they would have more variety in there salsas , please look into it and I will gladly give you two more stars

They rarely make enough donuts with the cream cheese filling. It’s the first pastry gone, why not make more.

Best donuts in town, great food all around. Staff is awesome, everyone loves going in the morning for fresh food. They have pizza that I believe starts serving at 11am. And they have snacks and such to buy, go there ! :)

My visit was much better. Service was better. No matter their tamales are the best. That what I still pick some up. Even if I live across town. I've tried Delia's and others. There is no better.

NO CONCHAS!!! The only thing my mom wanted was conchas and there were none when I got there, perhaps too late. Next time I might try calling. Their other sweet bread is absolutely delicious and they still had lots to choose from! They make the best marranitos and empanadas. Checking out is kinda slow so give yourself plenty of time. I've been here about 5x and there has always been a small crowd to long lines. Not super cheerful service, but not rude either just busy and constantly multi tasking with each customer. If its your first time there, they have plastic gloves on a table to the right, infront of their checkout. Put one on and use that to grab the bread. The bags are in shelves just below the sweet bread. They also have tamales, but I prefer the ones my neighbor makes, and they have other hot meats to go, but they tend to run out so call before hand. Definitely, get the sweet bread!

Weekend line out to 77 bus. Known for their great tamales and other items. I guess that says it all. Worth the Weekend rush.

This os the BEST place for pan dulce! Es lo mejor! They have amazing donuts as well, even better than Krispy Kreme. The best part other than the selection of pan dulce and the flavor, is that they stay fresh days later.

This is the most terrible bakery. I have every been in. You have a employee . Yelling at customers because her daughter is crying and can't help people. I have never seen anything like this . I will never go back .

Good but she overcharged me, I asked for a special and she Charged me for Tortillas, too expensive, I would recommend going somewhere else, she didn't have any green salsa either, I am very dissatisfied!!!!
