Wow this is the king of rest stops.Lots of parking, well lit, extremely clean.Huge bathrooms very cleanSo much to look at while you stretch your legs.Kid friendly and great atmosphere.Highly recommended

Fir rest areas I was pleasantly surprised at the tourist information regarding creatures, animals, and plant life. There was for sure thought not only for the visitors safety, restroom facilities, and snack needs, but to truly get some rest even for big families. For me the way the place was played out was pretty cool especially with the 2 touch screen interactive information boards on both sides of the main room. This is another example of everything's better or bigger in Texas right?

Beautiful wooded rest area. The restroom buildings sit on wetland with beautiful walking trail. I love the good theme inside, very clean and well maintained. Thanks to the property management staff.Plus, there are picnic pavilion outside too. Nice setting. ♥️

This is a very nice rest stop. I needed a nap too. I really liked the boardwalk. It was late at night and a raccoon scared me! Funny too! Blow up the first pic to find him digging. He ran under the boardwalk and stopped at that post!

Another well maintained rest area. This is yet another example of a nicely maintained and accessible rest stop. Ample parking that’s handicap accessible as is the building and raised paths.Clean restrooms that feature changing tables and air hand driers.Indoor and outdoor seating. A good walking area and a couple covered picnic areas.Did notice quite a few cats though it looks as though they are being taken care of.Inside feature’s information displays and a replica monument.

Very clean rest stop. Very nice rest area. Lots of space to walk the dog. Plenty of room to roam. Watch out for snakes and poison ivy.

This rest stop is very very nice & an interesting place to walk around! Watch out for snakes! The bathrooms are clean & plentiful. There is also a family restroom. There are vending machines with soda pop & snacks & an informative desk. Wheelchair accessible.

A super nice rest stop!If you want some of Texas’ history and to be able to see why Texas has the best rest stops this is the place for you!Walking trail around the entire facility.Many places to have a picnic lunch.A lot of scenery!

The ladies room smelt nasty as all get out. I found a drain behind the toliets only, not the sink. It was Gross! There was an attendant but he was busy outside smoking, on his phone. After my experience i looked for him, but he was gone.Come on y'all! Take some pride in your work! You should be grateful that you have a job.

Super clean, always other travelers around so it feels safe. Nice to see they hire learning disabled cleaning staff and it feels better as a solo female traveler to have the staff around, too.

This rest area should be the best rest area on I-10 in Texas. Nice design with play ground and walking trail. Will stop-by in the future travel.

This a very delightful rest area to stop at and take break. Lots of parking for all kinds of vehicles. Very clean rest rooms. Exceptionally well manicured and landscaped grounds. The place resembled more of a nice city park than it does a highway rest stop.The boardwalk paths going through the little forested area between the various sections is a nice touch.

This particular rest area is definitely showing signs of neglect. Drainage and/or ventilation issues have caused the urinals in the men's restrooms to start overflowing, and it is NASTY when that happens. Plus, some walkways are blocked off for reasons I don't even know.Use discretion when stopping here along I-10.

What a beautiful rest area! It is like a small nature trail, with tree kittens and all! This might actually be the cleanest rest area I’ve been too also. There was a gentleman cleaning the windows when I came out of the restroom and I remember thinking, what a great job! I gave him a wave and was on my way, back in my truck and back to work! Great job man in the rest stop and great job Texas for such a beautiful place! 👍

This is a great spot! We were here in the evening, so lots of animals coming out of the woods, namely raccoons, foraging for food. The pathways throughout made for a neat night time walking experience with posted information panels about the birds, trees, and other surroundings. Well done! As for RV and truck parking, lots of spaces and extra wide in comparison to most others.

It provides enclosed picnic areas, two restrooms, a family room and a cool welcome center. All the walkways along and between the wildlife's natural habitat and towering trees..Priceless. It is a beautiful rest area!

This is a nice small place that accomodates anything for small cars to trailer trucks. This place holds soda machines and a set of indoors as well as outdoor restrooms for both female and male and family. Also it has drinking water fountains and a playground, however at the moment are restricted due to the pandemia. When visiting do follow the advice too stay in the walkway because the place does hold dangerous snakes and poison ivy. There is no need to pay anything for the stay. It is a nice small place to take a small rest from a long drive.

Nice rest stop to stay overnight especially for those who doesn’t like to drive at night. They have pavilions with picnic table and a play area for kids (playground is closed as of this writing). The bathrooms and surrounding areas are clean. They have a custodian who maintains the area all day. There’s also wifi, vending machines and a brief history of Texas inside the welcome center. The only issue is the freeway noise can be overwhelming as the parking area for cars parallel the freeway. Big trucks are parked on the other side of welcome center.

I had never been to this rest stop. It’s very nice, spacious, and very clean! The building was air conditioned and there was plenty of space to walk around and stretch your legs. They even had a play area for the kids! After a long ride with kids you need some place to have them burn off their energy! There is a lot of foliage around the rest stop and of course in Texas there is always a separate parking area for the big trucks.

I made a quick bathroom stop here. The bathrooms are not very clearly marked but with enough looking, you'll find them. Also, there were some really peculiar looking flowers growing here that I had to take pictures of.

Chambers County Safety Rest Area Westbound is identical to the Eastbound safety Rest Area on the opposite side of IH 10. This is the  best place to stop for all  travellers traveling West.    To find  safety during stormy weather,  to relax & stretch,  to use bathroom,  to buy candy,  snacks & beverages,  to picnic,  to allow childeren to play on modern playground equipment,    to walk your dog,  to charge your electronc devices,  or take a smoke break to calm shattered nerves & stress from hazards of driving.  The Texas County Safety Rest Areas  throughout the State are the finest anywhere & can accomodate some of your needs. Grounds manicured.   Facilities maintained.  Restrooms are clean (as Bucee's).    Highly recommend that you use  these cost free facilities.

Nice walking path here, but this place is under construction, as a few paths are blocked by barriers and caution tape. Also, the main reason we stopped here was for the playground. Which unfortunately has been airlifted off site... Plenty of parking and not super busy.

Lots of truck and trailer parking. Stay on walking paths as there are lots of big spiders, racoons and snakes.

Very nice rest area with places to walk with kiosks throughout. Restrooms clean except the stalls.
