The owner is clearly passionate about his business. This is my go to place for aquatic plants! They always have new and interesting plants to chose from. Huge selection of hard scape and care products as well for such a small shop. The majority of the pants in my new 10 gallon are from his shop. Already putting on new growth after 1 week the scarlet temples in my 6 gallon guppy tank are also from him and growing well.

Bought my little betta from this company about a year ago. He is still thriving, though getting old now. Owner is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about short and long term care. I got a lot of inspiration for my planted tank by walking through the aquariums in the back. The owner asked a few questions about our tank style of choice, and helped us build our perfect little planted tank for Lord Grantham to call home.

This place did not disappoint! May look small from the outside but the inside had all your aquarium needs. The owner was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and had a sense of humor. Great selection from supplies to fish with fair pricing! Well worth the 45 minute drive one way. Definitely will be back as a regular customer.

Went to Petworld today with my family and let me say this. At first i was like this place is small.. THEN we turned and seen an entire aquarium area!! My wife isn't Into the hobby but if she says she likes this place then that says ALOT! She compared it to the bigger pet stores and both of us agreed that they do NOT have anything on this place other than cheaper prices. Let's get this straight, not everything had a high cost and Cheaper isn't always better. You can tell just by walking into this establishment that the owner loves what he does! The prices are what they are because of the care he gives to his fish and products. You can go to any store and they'll tell you anything and sell to you not knowing the conditions of your aquarium. The owner asked questions and answered every single question I had. The fish he has here looks waaaaayy more healthy and energetic than any fish I've seen at the competitors. Not only that but he told me to bring water from both of my tanks to check the condition of them and because of having a few fish die (did not buy them from this shop) he recommended not getting anything till we figured out the cause of my tank issues. Who else would do that? Sacrifice a sell to help others? You won't get that anywhere! I'm definitely making this establishment my go to place from now on!

This was my first time visiting today and I had such a great experience! I felt very welcome and Darin did such a great job at showing me around and helping me with what I was looking for. I’m building a paludarium and he helped me find wood that would best fit my tank. He also went above and beyond by letting me put the wood pieces I was interested in into an empty tank that was about the same size as mine, to see if it would fit and look well in my tank. I will definitely be coming back for my tank’s maintenance! Thank you Darin!!

We never go anywhere else! This place is fantastic. Darin is super helpful and I fully trust his recommendations and know that he will not steer me wrong for more sales like some places do. They have geat prices, great selection and high quality. If I lived locally and didn't have to drive 2 hours to get here, I would be in there every week. Well worth the drive. Thank you Darin!

This has been my go-to freshwater fish store for well over 3 years. Darin is not only knowledgeable, but he is patient and kind. I have visited other LFS and his are by far the best quality of fish, along with the best selection of wood and rock! At my most recent visit he didn't have the fish I was looking for, so he ordered them for me. I Love this place!!

I stumbled upon this out of the way oasis. This small business provided me customer service I’ve never gotten from a LFS. This is a great place for dry goods for all aquarium needs salt and fresh. Large selection of fresh water livestock. If you need odds and ends for your systems, you can find it here. If they don’t have it in stock, they’ll quickly get it for you for a local option!

Like this place needed to find someone to do a quick water change because was treating my tank with medicine he did more cleaning then any other place he is very knowledgeable and very kind he helped me figure out why my tank was cloudy it was due to leaving light on to long and my filter did not have proper stuff for that size filter so he let me know my tank looks very clean and fish look happy the other place was not doing big enough water changes they finally got a big water change highly recommend I also ask a lot of question I am chatty and he was very polite he really cares about his customers if I could give more then 5 stars I would

Darin was very welcoming and friendly that I felt comfortable being in this shop. He has variety of aquatic plants and so much selection of fresh water fish especially the kinds I look for my nano tanks. The pet shrimps had good colors in them as well. Overall very well managed store packed with excitement of an aquarium hobbyist where I could easily spend an hour or two.

I went there this past weekend for the first time. It was a very pleasant experience. Not only was the owner very knowledgeable about both fresh and saltwater fish, but he actually enjoyed his job. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions, even the one I had at 10:00 at night. I will definitely be returning to Pet World.

Fist time coming here and was blown away by the selection and quality of everything. Darin was super kind and helpful and I ended up leaving with 2 plants that Darin helped me pick and were ones that looked the best, had a super healthy root system, and he gave great advice on care for the plants. The selection of plants, hard scape, and fish were amazing and I will definitely be going back soon and recommending this shop to friends.

We are in the process of turning our inground pool into a pond. We had trouble finding any local outlets for information or plants. Luckily we were led to PetWorld. Excellent reception and service from Darin. He patiently answered all our questions and showed us many plant options. His prices were very favorable and he did not try to oversell us. He told us to call him any time we had any questions or needed help. Fantastic service!! I highly recommend PetWorld.

Darin is awesome!! He is very knowledgeable and doesn't sell you things you don't need. I took him a sample of both my 65 and 75 gallon tanks and he made sure I had what I needed to get my water in better condition before selling me a fish. He actually cares about the health and condition of your tank! I definitely saw improvements in my tank based on his recommendations. I HIGHLY recommend him. Thanks Darin!!!

I stopped in for the first time the other day and I’m so glad I did! Darin was very friendly and helpful, made me feel comfortable in the store. He went out of his way to find me information on how to care for my aquatic pets and introduced me to my newest baby, my ghost knife fish! He suggested the use of the ghost tube to make him comfortable in his habitat and it worked like a charm! The shop is well stocked and the lay out is nice. The showroom is well kept and all the tanks appeared healthy and clean. He has a great selection of community freshwater tropical fish and helped me select some gorgeous gouramis as well. This is definitely my new go to place for my aquarium needs. You can tell he goes above and beyond for his fish and his customers.

Absolutely beautiful little fish stop, perhaps one of the best in all DFW. I can certainly say I’ve never seen holey rock anywhere in the metroplex of this size or complexity and beauty. They also had some amazing show stopping pieces of big show wood. Would highly recommend to anyone in the hobby anywhere in DFW, always worth the drive for me!
