Experience with the practice owner at the Tyler location… I brought my German Shepherd, Max for an emergency Quality of Life Exam last night. I had a morning appointment w my regular vet but I didn’t think I should wait, so I came to this clinic bc of its late hours. I was the only client at 8pm:.. I waited an hour for the Dr… he came in for a short time and decided my dog needed a pancreas enzyme test. “German Shepherd is the poster child” he told me. Never mind that I was listing different symptoms. I told the Dr. my dog couldn’t breathe, and that he had been standing and staring blankly unable to lay down for hours. When he laid down his breathing became more taxed. I was unheard. I was told his lungs sounded clear, brushed off and was (again) left waiting while they went to tend to another patient who came in close to 9:15. I was the only client and spent an hour waiting to see someone… got less than 15 minutes w the dr… and then he rushed off to tend to someone who had just come in. I was watching my dog suffer in a cold unfamiliar room… my concerns and observations were ignored. I was there an hour and a half before I left out of frustration. I intended to make the 8am appointment w our regular vet. I took Max home where he stood and stared, panting, unable to breathe or lay down… until he collapsed off his feet and died in my bedroom at 4:30 this morning. His lungs emptied of bloody fluid when he passed. MY DOG SHOULD NOT HAVE SPENT HIS LAST 7 HOURS IN INTENSE SUFFERING. He should not have died standing on his feet in agony.The Dr called to address my negative review and my “expectations” for the visit. He disputed that my timeline was incorrect. My first draft of this review stated two hours in the office… so I have revised it to meet the doctors concern. I was offered a patronizing, insufficient apology. The Dr who saw Max was the owner of the practice Robert Gribble.

Great Dr. And staff. Her and staff has now been treating him (Cooper) for 7 years. They treat your pet as if it was there's. My dog and American fox hound has only saw one veterinarian as a puppy when we rescued him.He was a little nervous but the tech's were very gentle and talked to him and Kelpt him calm. It would take 4 people to try and trim his nails, as per pictures only 2 tech's and he didn't even try to run off.Prices $$$ He will continue to be treated there.

This is probably the best vet office I’ve been to. The staff is so nice and very helpful. When you call they take of your dogs needs. The office is very clean and doesn’t even look like a vet office. It’s worth the drive to Hallsville they took very good care of my dog.

They helped my pug when he had bladder stones. They put up with me bothering them and coming to see him before and after surgery. Winston (the pug) seemed a little sad to say good bye to the friends he made there. I can’t thank them enough for helping him ❤️

We just moved and decided to use this office for our old girls final nap. I have never been to a vet that cared as much as this one. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I had picked the right place. Everyone there was so kind and compassionate. The entire experience although it's not one to enjoy was more calm and peaceful than I could've ever imagined thanks to the staff and Dr. All the way to our baby's last breath. And big shout out to Vanessa. You have a forever friend in Elliot!

Very professional great awesome veterinary office staff, there staff is amazing and very caring .I had to take my male cat there that was very sick, they did blood work and other tests and the prognosis came back very bad so we decided to put him to sleep it broke my heart having to say goodbye to my sweet cat but the staff there was very caring and very supportive

I really like this clinic the vet is very professional and friendly as is all the staff. I'm always greeted with a smile no matter how busy they are.my dog loves them too he actually gets excited to see them. I also board my dog here when I go out of town. the kennels are always clean and they take very good care of their 4 legged guests. I know I don't have to worry about my dog being neglected in any way at this clinic. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone

Had to say goodbye to my kitty. Not a baby, 9 year old big guy,, but still a kitty to me. They explained everything to us and they were very compassionate. They were also very patient as they gave us all the time we needed before and after. They were so sweet to him.

My family lost our first German Shepherd, Klaus when he was six months old. It took us a year to finally get another. When we did we started looking for a good veterinarian to get shots, neuter, and ease our minds in general.The first visit, we immediately were welcomed into their family. Everyone just fawned over this little German Shepherd, Elijah. He was the runt of the litter so he was underweight slightly. The doctor was thorough and informative, but most of all FRIENDLY.Every visit Elijah has been taken care of as if he were their dog. They refer to him (and all of the animals they care for) as their "babies."When I took him to get neutered I didn't expect to get choked up leaving him there, but I was. They calmed my worries and called me twice, and didn't make me feel bad for calling them once in between those calls.I am so thankful for Hallsville Veterinary Hospital for not only keeping my baby healthy, but also loving him.You guys are the best!-Cox Family

Dr. Gribble and his staff have taken care of my dog for the last several years, but their compassion in the last few months is unsurpassed. They provided excellent care for my aging dog, and helped me to make the decisions that needed to be made regarding his care once he was diagnosed with kidney disease. They were especially supportive and caring at our final appointment and allowed us the time we needed to say goodbye and the reassurance of knowing he didn't suffer. They provided more than just medical care for our pet - they loved him too!

After adopting an injured stray, the staff here were able to help us accommodate our new friend by addressing his injuries and getting him back to his new home ASAP. Now as a family with two adopted strays, we wouldn’t take our pets anywhere else. Staff is always super helpful, both on he phone and in person, and they have the best interest of our pets as their number one priority. I cannot even begin to say enough about this vet and the amazing people who work there. My baby is a 14 year old blind, diabetic Cairn Terrier who has had a rough two weeks. We had accidentally given her treats that had molasses in them and it caused her insulin and glucose levels to go haywire. The staff was determined to figure out what was going on. She hit bottom last week and I was prepared to let her go. Dr. Gribble and his staff were on a mission. I am happy to say that thanks to them, my baby is back to her old self. She is balanced and happy!! Thank you so much to EVERYONE at Hallsville Vet!!!❤️

Dr. Greer is a fabulous addition to the clinic. The time and effort she invested into diagnosing and getting medication for my sweet Lorraine will forever be appreciated. I am so grateful my former veterinarian recommended this clinic. They were all so patient and kind. My sweet Lorraine is very sick, and I am a Tiger Mom who is frantic. I must be very difficult, but they were all so loving that I just melted. Thank you so much.

They took excellent care of my sons kitty! Max the Cat found himself in a predicament, he found a fishing pole that had not been secured, found that the hook was fun to bat back and forth, but then found the hook through his lil toe beans, and needed medical attention immediately. He was taken back by a sweet tech, and was placed under anesthesia to remove the now not so fun hook, and the decision was also made to remove a couple more items from his body. Max will probably never like to see a fishing pole again, but he wont mind seeing the Excellent People at this Vets on Main in Hallsville, Sweet, helpful and took quick care of our sweet kitty!!

This is a wonderful place they were very knowledgeable and kind and they got my dog well. She is still recovering but on her way to a great recovery. My wife and I had to decide to put our dog Orville down. He was 18 years old. Dr. Greer and the staff made it very easy on both of us. It was a tough decision but everyone there was so nice and understanding. I was very pleased the way it was done. He just went to sleep, no pain or being scared. Staff is very pleasant and intelligent. You can even board your pets not just for when you need vet. . It's much safer for us to leave our pets since they know what to do. We have 2 doggies and they love the staff.

Most friendly staff I've ever been to. I've never had a complaint about their medical care. The staff is top notch, never seen better in my many years of having animals to care for.My only disappointment is the boarding. Wish there were cameras for safety and bigger cages for boarding. But that's just me. I'm very particular about my animals and how they are taken care of while I'm away.

Hallsville is very lucky to have such a top notch Veterinary Hospital. Dr's Gribble and Greer are both excellent! Dr. Greer's love for animals and her profession was evident when she agreed to come to our house and euthanize my Jack when it was time to let him go. They both take time to answer any questions I might have and Dr. Greer always finds time to return my phone calls. I also have to say that Sam is such a great addition to the practice . She is friendly, always cheerful and always very helpful. I will definitely continue to take Max my other four legged boy to them! They're great!

They have provided outstanding care for all of our animals. We have had to have two of our animals put down due to illness and they provided the up most comfort to us. We even received a sympathy card signed by each employee. We have been impressed with both Dr. Gribble and Dr. Geer knowledge and professionalism.I would highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking veterinarian care.
