There’s a manager up there, named Ame, that runs that place so perfectly. She has done amazing things for that Dollar General in general lol the environment is so fun and the workers up there are sweethearts as well. My shopping experience is always in and out and they’re also very helpful when you can’t find something.

Pulled in at 10:20 PM (not in a parking spot so it was clear I wouldn’t be there long-to let my Man walk over to me from the nearby gas station) and as he was in the process of walking over to me a lady popped her head and told me they could not lock up and leave until I did and so she asked me to leave. They left a few minutes after I did. Thought it was unprofessional as I had only been in the parking lot for approximately thirty seconds (not exaggerating), and he would’ve had time to walk over before they even left. It was clear the lady was ready to go home but a little small bit of patience would’ve been nice.

I have rated this location at 5 stars about 9 months ago but since then things have definitely changed. I'm a regular shopper here being that I live here in the area. The manager is excellent, great customer service and very friendly but however, the cashiers are not. The ones that were there at first were very friendly and spoke to everyone that comes through the door but lately, the new ones are poor about friendliness as well as when you check out very poor customer service. The store is neat very clean and always in stock

This is a 10:star store until the last month or so New sales clerk is absolutely unable to check people out. There is always a line when she is working. Though 8-10:people can be waiting she still stops to make small talk. When a customer walks in the front door she greets them and tells them to ask if she can help them find anything. Well, while that is fine the problem is she forgets what she Is doing with customer she is checking out. I always loved this store. Now I dread walking in and finding out she is there. Store has lost the quickest friendliest and best clerks because no one can work with new clerk. Great manager but I think her hands are tied on this situation. I don’t know but other customers have expressed that opinion. Definitely under qualified for position

Store was well kept and cashier was friendly. Only problem I had was they keep all the toys high on shelves with no way of looking at them. How are you suppose to sell them if the customers can't get to them!!!

Plenty of merchandise to choose from & decent prices. The staff isn't very helpful with finding an item "I'm busy stocking but I think it's over by the pens and stuff..." for example. But if I dig I can find whatever I want usually.

The Hallsville Dollar General is one of the most prestine stores ive been to. I live in Hallsville, and everytime i come in the employees are always so helpful and so nice and have the best attitudes. If I were the manager I would be so proud to have run such a tight ship. Keep up the good work!
