Within 5 mins of laying down in their pet friendly room I realized they had bed bugs. Had to shower and quickly leave with my two cats so I didn't bring that mess home. When I contacted the front desk about the issue just to inform him, he got confrontational about it immediately. Would bit recommend the pet friendly rooms, I don't know about the non pet rooms.

It was a blessing to find this place when we did during our 30 hour trip from LA to Indianapolis. My fiancé and I were cramped in a rental car with my 2 year old and all our stuff and I'm the only driver. I started to get tired after eating a filling brunch and we were about halfway to our destination. And although it was only 11 AM there, they allowed us to go ahead and rent the room and get settled in, rather than making us wait until afternoon to check in. The price was very reasonable for the room size and quality of amenities and services provided. It was so quiet and very relaxing and comfortable. And there were so many giant toads outside, my daughter was having a blast chasing them and checking them out. Highly recommend stopping here for some quality R&R, for sure. They offer smoking and non-smoking rooms.

Bed bugs or fleas in our "dog friendly" room indicates they are not cleaned properly considering they allow dogs.The bathroom fan was noisy when the light was on.We called to get a price and the price despite that we told them we had a dog, was higher on arrival than quoted.I would definitely NOT recommend due to their dishonesty.Rooms: Dog friendly rooms but flea infested and we were bitten overnight while we were able to sleep which was shortened by those bites.

I stumbled across this gem in the middle of a cold night, on a long ride. I wasn't expecting much, was warmly greeted, and given the key to my room. The room was clean and warm. Just what I needed. Took a needed HOT shower and sank into the very comfortable bed for some much needed rest.I recommend Chalet Inn!

A very safe ,quite and relaxing place to stay. Our room was very clean and sanitized. Looked and smelled so fresh . The beds were very comfortable. The service was great. The prices were very reasonable. The rooms are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I highlyrecommend this place.

Cannot say enough nice things. Owners are super nice, very friendly and made checking in quick and easy. I got to the room and fell in love and went back to the office and paid for a second night. Everything was perfect. Bed was awesome, shower hot and strong flow, tv had great channels, room was immaculate. Owner cleans rooms himself, doesn't rely on someone else to do it. Obviously very detail oriented and meticulous. I love it. Highly recommended if you find yourself near Groom, Texas and need a room. THANK YOU. <3

Decent room for the price. Clean. The only complaint I have is that they turned off the AC, in the middle of July. When we walked into our room it felt like a sauna. I thought maybe they just forgot but when we came in after they cleaned the room it was turned off again. I understand trying to save money but it took hours to cool off. Would recommend.

Room is comfortable and clean, everything works right ( a/c , refrigerator and microwave). Bathroom a little small but clean. Staff is courteous and accommodating. Great place to spend the night after long road trip, fair price.

Absolutely disgusting room. I turned the air on and there was so much dirt or dust that I almost threw up, the smell was the worst. The paint was peeling from the bathroom walls. There was a used up washcloth hanging on the shower curtain rod. I wanted to leave so badly but was afraid I'd fall asleep on the road. Would never recommend this place.

We stayed here June of 2016. The hotel room was clean and up-to-date. The beds comfortable. We felt safe. There was plenty of room for our moving truck in the parking lot. The owners were pleasant. There's a Dairy Queen right next door.This is definitely a great place to stay if you want to avoid staying in nearby Amarillo.

Was on my way home from Rocklahoma , was late almost 5am. Rang inside the open office door an a gentleman came out right away, sleepy. I needed to sleep 5 hours for the trip home to Colorado. 50.00. Room was clean. It was a smoking room. Fresh linens and bathroom. Air and TV on point. In a world of 199.99 rooms…for the money this is my best value pick in the I 40 zone of eastern Texas/ Oklahoma.

No frills but clean and what you expect for the price. Staff is very nice and helpful. very quaint establishment. having the gas station next door was nice. I left items in the back of my truck all night and nothing was touched. felt very secure

What a great find! Very reasonable price and the room is large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and adequate (pretty small, but I'm not too big, so it works). The check in was simple and quick with a friendly hostess. We'll try The Grill for breakfast tomorrow morning (not included with the room).

The room is very welcoming. AAA has approved this Hotel. Be sure to show your card for your Discount. Pillow top mattress clean room with a great heater. Clean carpets and the bathroom is very clean . Places to eat close by is DQ not bad , gas station right next door. Highway 40 very close and easy to get on. Very close to the Cross in Groom.

It's a little bit overpriced for what it is, but it is clean and quiet. They pretty much have the monopoly in town since there is absolutely nothing else in Groom but that motel, a gas station (next door) and a Dairy Queen next to the gas station.Clean rooms, fairly large too. But bring your own shampoo, they only have the tiny soaps. Nice TVs and fairly fast internet access.

Sign said 5.00 for pets if room is available but it wasn't so that's fine , but you were going to charge me 10.00 to leave in my OWN ride . I just wanted my 2 grandkids to have a place to sleep with their dogs who are like brothers to them. You tell a 2yr and 4 yr old they can't have their bed buddy's! So NO Mr mean dog man you will NO GET MY SERVICE

Very nice people and very clean room at a low price. They were able to accommodate my family of five and our dog. At first they gave us a smoking room which we would not stay in. But when we asked for a nonsmoking room they gave it to us without an issue. I am assuming this was because of the dog as the room we got in the end said something about pets not being allowed. Television didn't have many channels and towels were not fluffy. I probably only noticed these things because I am used to Hilton hotels. All in all as far as cheep hotels go I would recommend this one.

Very simple and reasonably priced place to stay. The room I had was clean and I really have no complaints. It's not the Taj Mahal, but it serves perfectly fine to crash out at when you're on the road just looking to sleep. The rooms seem to be very secure.

The Chalet Inn in Groom, Tx is a wonderful stop for the night. The rooms are clean, smell good, and the sheets and towels were fresh. Everything in the room worked well. I will stay there again if I'm ever traveling through Groom again, and I will recommend it to others.

Late February I was traveling through Texas on I40E. I had stopped at a hotel in Amarillo, what a nightmare. I decided to keep heading east, stopped in Groom, Texas at Chalet Inn.Owners were very accommodating. My room was extremely clean and cozy. I had a good night sleep.Thank you!

Excellent small Motel! Price was right. Large room, comfortable beds & FRESH linens! No amenities but none were needed. Friendly owners! The Challet Inn Groom Texas is highly recommended!!

Was okay. Good rooms. Not unfriendly. Reasonable prices. Appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. A storm was approaching and we had to find a place to stay. Just a fast food and a gas station near by, but fine to stay the night.

My husband and I are currently stranded over this memorial day weekend while we wait for a trailer repair place to open. This little motel is very quiet and clean. We have dogs and they had no problems accomodating them. Can't beat the price! I read all the reviews posted here and there are two that are obviously FAKE! I am enjoying my stay and if I ever come through again I will not hesitate to stay again! We have been here 4 nights so far.
