This is our favorite restaurant in Groesbeck. We will drive from Mexia just for a meal here. The fried pickles are so good. The service is great and it is just a down home cafe that you can relax and enjoy great food in this nice community.Parking: Plenty of street parking around the building.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and ice cream by the scoop.

A classic small town diner. Amazing, quick service and delicious food. Found this place by accident just driving by. Glad we stopped! If you want a discount, bring cash to get the cash discount, otherwise prices are still very reasonable and it's well worth the little bit extra to pay with card. They also have natural cut fries, you don't see those very many places! I pretty much inhaled my food so not much left to photograph.

The joint was hopping at Friday's lunch run. We got there at about 12:10 so we expected the crowd. The service was very friendly and prompt, the kitchen was a little slow but the restaurant was in full tilt lunch service so I cut them some slack for that. My wife had the Friday lunch special of Catfish (2 x lg fillets) wit homemade fries and a tasty, sweet Coleslaw and 2 hushpuppies. Everything was VERY good except for the hushpuppies which were undercooked and gummy in the middle. The fish was GREAT!I had the large Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed potatoes and gravy; Onion Rings; Salad and Texas Toast. The potatoes were real, not instant and the gravy was good. The Onion strings were crispy and steaming hot. The only complaint was the batter on the steak was way oversized for the meat and the meat was run through a tenderizer and very thin.We'll go again, for sure.

Loved this place! We were driving through Groesbeck and needed a bite to eat. My wife spotted this place and we dropped in. To my surprise, they offered a "Crispy Pork Tenderloin" sandwich. I didn't know that anyplace in Texas sold them. I've had plenty of chicken fried steaks and chicken fried chicken. But, I thought the pork tenderloin sandwich cooked the same way was only in the midwest. Very good sandwich! Great service and reasonable prices.

My family and I love the breakfast here, and today we ordered one of their appetizers. The cinnamon sugar sweet potatoes are really novel and incredibly tasty. A must visit if you're traveling through Groesbeck.The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, attentive, quick and polite.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! The hamburger was fantastic and my husband had an awesome patty melt and we shared delicious fries!!! The owner was so friendly and so was her daughter!! We were passing through and I am so glad we stopped!! It has been a restaurant since the 40's they have shakes and floats as well!! Plus here's the bonus "THEY SERVE BREAKFAST TILL THEY CLOSE" LOVE IT!!!

Not being from the area. We were looking for a place to rest and eat. We have found that small places most times have the best food. And we were not wrong this time! My wife's Taco salad was the best she had ever had! And myself being a hamburger expert. Had a two patty. And it was great! And the onion rings? I will gladly drive 14 miles just to eat them. Take our word. You ever get a chance to eat there. You will go back! GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Like so many others, we occasionally drive from one end of SH14 to the other, but we'd always promised to stop somewhere...and once we did, we were lucky it was Kamdan's! Our breakfasts were quite good, everything about the place is True Texas, including the excellent service, and even though my visiting Mom, a New Yorker if there ever was one, got some glances, there was only hospitality. We'll totally be back.

EXCELLENT food.We just moved to Groesbeck a couple of weeks ago, and of the places we have tried around here so far this has been our favorite. We got 4 different orders. Two burgers, shrimp, and a hamburger steak- and there was not a single thing to complain about. The service was excellent when I went to pick it up. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience and we will absolutely be coming back. On top of all of this, they are so reasonably priced for what you get. Next time we will be trying the breakfast!

I absolutely have to say that I love love love this place. For there's nothing like a calm and adequate atmosphere for a very hearty breakfast. Being that I love to cook and I love to eat and having those two things not agree at times I do find myself here enjoying every bit of my decision to bypass both of my own personal requests. The pancakes are so delish!!! Maybe sometime in the near future I will order outside the box LOL till then!
