What a wonderful experience for myself and my dog.AwesomeThis was posted 1 yr ago.Now that it has been another year, the true results of my dog Willow's training and the impact it has had on our lives.Willow was 6 mo when she attended training. With out a doubt puppies are difficult. Actually they are dang hard. Willow with her puppy strong will , remembered and knew what she learned, but when she was 1 1/2 yrs old it was like the light went off. She is the smartest most obedient dog I have ever had.Her train was the best and wisest decision I have ever made.

and was also rude towards my mother. My mother and I decidedafter that I was to ask for a different training method or ask for arefund. The next appointment I explained I needed a differenttraining method than tethering, he refused and said to pay him 1kand he would do it himself. He knew my schedule and dogtrainers typically have more than one method in case it doesn'twork with the dog, he knew my schedule would not work with his,yet still acted as if it was fine and took my money, He was rudethat day and treating me badly, I looked at the reviews and sawseveral other young females lost their money to him because hewas being rude. It is not acceptable to talk down to someone andexpect them to just accept the treatment, he is stealing andknows how to do it. This is not fair and to keep my moneyknowing it was not going to work to begin with, unacceptable

Do not use!!! This owner is a weasel!! He was great until she paid then he yelled at her didn't offer amy training besides things that would harm her dog as in tethering your dog all day, and several have warned how this is animal abuse. There is also a code of ethics that he has not followed. He knew my young daughter could not so his Only training method and he tried to charge her more. I attended one sne session (her second) and he had not written her in, he started yelling at her about being late because he was back to back and being horrible towards her, then when you refuse to tolerate his abuse and want a refund he says no because she broke the deal as if speaking to a young lady like he was; should be acceptable. He stole her money. He is as yellow bellied as they come. I bet he wouldn't do that Infront of a father!?

Bill is a great at what he does. I highly recommend š. He is straight up with he techniques and his way to do things. I appreciate this kind of service. The value you get is priceless in my opinion. You can keep going until you wish to stop. Who does this. The grooming and boarding is great too. My GSD is very finicky on who she likes and she has been most comfortable around Bill and his team.

Best dog training and groomer I ever took my dog to. Iāve moved away from granbury and I really miss having such a good groomer for my dog. Willow was never anxious after going and I started taking her here when she was a puppy and they trained her to be a good girl when sheās getting groomed. Made it so easy now for me to groom her myself. Best groomer I ever went to. Nobody made her look as cute as they did.

Texas Dog Academy has helped my dog Hattie tremendous. Bill Walters has taught her the tools she needs to be a well trained dog. Now I am learning the tools. I am enjoying being able to enjoy my dog now. Hattie is a working dog and had lots of energy. Bill Walters is so patient with my Hattie. We are starting group lessonās soon and we canāt wait to continue our training. I recommend anyone needing help with their dog to let Bill Walters at The Texas Dog Academy help you with your dog! Hattie and I drive an hour one way to get to Acton. She jumps in the car so excited to go see Bill and staff. This has been the best experience I have had with one of my dogs! I highly recommend The Texas Dog Academy.

I've never used doggie daycare or any over night care for my animals because I've always worried, but I wasn't worried one bit about the level of care my dogs would recieve here. The price was very reasonable for the care they got. They're flexible and understanding. I live in fort Worth but I'll bring my dogs here anytime I need anything they offer. Great, great people.

Maybe I tried to use TDA at a bad time. Seems the owner left to lake house for a weekend then apparently came down with covid. Then the girl told me he didn't have it. Then when he came back he said he did. So who knows I left my GSD there for 10-12 days as he stated for a extra price to train on site. When I called up there they didn't act like they knew anything much about him. So I went over everything with Justin whom was to train Luka and when I went on 11th day to retrieve him they seem like they didn't know really why he was there or didn't receive any instructions. Just gave me my dog Bill called and apologized and suggested I come back as many times as needed but Luka seems worse than before and I don't feel he got much training and was ignored more than anything. I decided they were not for me and my dog. I did follow up with a 3rd training appt and they put me on Thursday rather than Friday as I said let's do the same time as last but he said I have a 830am available for Friday. So I said ok and put in my calendar I showed up Friday on time and he wasn't there. They lady called him and said I was a no show for Thursday. So I felt I wasted $800.00 Anyway I spoke with a customer of mine and he had a much better experience with another trainer So I think I'll try them. Wasn't a good experience for $800

I boarded my two dogs here while I went out of town for a few days. The prices were reasonable and the facility was clean and well ventilated. They have someone on the property 24/7 and everything seemed secure. The owner and staff seemed laid back and it was a good environment for the first time my dogs stayed anywhere without me. When I picked them up, they had been bathed and obviously enjoyed their stay. Even my little worrier Aussie, who is prone to going off feed and having some GI issues when her routine changes, had actually gained weight during her stay. They also get some points for successfully bathing my two maniacs, who have very little grooming experience and are in perpetual motion. I'll be bringing them back any time I need to board.

I lasted five lessons with Bill. He could not remember from one week to the next what he had showed me to do. Each lesson lasted 15 to 20 minutes and I was to train my dog all week long to do what he had showed me. (Which I did) He became rude, hateful and very condescending toward me. He was extremely rough with my dog. I do not want my dog to fear me, but respect me as the leader. When I questioned him about the training, he began to yell at me and became very disrespectful. I do believe he behaved as the āalfa dogā towards me. (I am 71 and female) A trainer cannot expect a client to remember everything without some form of written instructions in a 15 to 20 minute period. He told me to check his web site for help. His site is a joke. I do not believe he earned $400 of my dollars. I cannot go back because of the anxiety he caused my dog and me.

This is a great place to keep your dog. Their honest and clean. There's no better place in Acton or granbury to bring your dog for overnight boarding or extended boarding. They do grooming and bathing. They have the best prices around when it comes to your fur babies and their comfort and saftey. They also do dog training

The dog trainer has extreme anger and rage issues. The workers and wife told me he is just as rude to the other customers as he is to me.His wife has had open door policy for me for ye ar he was out of town. I hauled his stepdaughter to city pool, to eat and to do christmas float parades. Last time I went there and said hi can I say hi to rita. He called police on me and filed criminal trespassing and harrasment charges on me. I was not the one screaming and when I asked where his rage came from and why did he hate me so. He was screaming at the top of his lungs it does not matter where my fu..... rage or hate come from. He gave a false report of things like I was up there high everyday making scenes. He told them I take xanax which I am prescribed. What makes it even worse is all my church knows I am on xanax and he used that to give his dishonest story. My son is a officer in this town so when the sheriff told him what all bill said. My son said since I was doing all that I am toxic and no longer part of their lives.Anyone that is not evil or hostile would of known if you did not want a visit should of simply said i will let her know you came by. Quicker, truth and you do not have to lieHe sent my young dog home after nine days a week early because she was injured he said. She had no injury i paid 400 for a young pit i can not even get a leash on for 400.I advise to steer clear. And he allowed a dog with severe agression issues to keep coming to classes after it attacked bank president at a class. Of course she never went back. His need is control. And he will humiliate the stepdaughter in front of class when he demanded she bring her dog out there. And He gave himself job at church to greet people and he is not giving good fruit. What comes out of him is what is in his heart. And it has for three years all been nothing but bad fruit. He began running from door when he saw me coming to door of church. Then he stopped coming. He knows what he isThe enemy should not be in s church stirring up strife.Go to I believe it is called Square One dog training but he in six weeks has your dog taught hand commands and voice. Also secret words if you want for commands. She also got protection training and it is so well done that you have a word when she will love everybody and then a word for time to attack anyone who threatens my family or business

I have been through months of training with two different trainers before going to the TDA. I did the cheaper training where I trained on my own with weekly visits to TDA. FINALLY.... some improvement in my dog's behavior! Mr. Walters is a bit military which is what my dog needed. The treats every two seconds method did not teach my dog to respect me(she just wanted the TREATS) nor did the shock collar method work(she's knows when it is off). I realized I was like a bad parent. Of course, I'd rather be my dog's friend than pack leader. Like children, they need those boundaries and that support to feel safe or they feel thrust into the pack leader position. What's really cool is after doing training sessions, group classes are free for the rest of the dog's life! I had taken my dog to Hudson Oaks and Cresson for training and was wary of trying someone local. I was just soooo scared it wouldn't work. It didn't solve all my problems instantly. YOU, not your dog, YOU have to work at it. I have a VERY very complicated dog. It just takes time which as a college student working during the summer, I have not had. I am considering leaving my dog with Bill for a few weeks. I have talked with MANY people who said this really helped their dogs. Bill uses head collars WHICH WORK. I mean, I took it off and took my dog to the park. I had several people comment on her good behavior and how she walked beside me without pulling. This would NOT have happened a year ago. Billl loves the dogs and the dogs RESPECT him. It's really cool to watch him work with the dogs. They learn so quickly and they WANT to please him because he is their leader! It's a Jedi-Padawan relationship, not buddy buddy. Texas Dog Academy has so passed my expectations I will not use anyone else! I couldn't believe it. Half the price of the other training I was looking at AND free group training for the rest of my dog's life?? This couldn't be for real. Oh, but it is.

I can't leave zero stars, so I'll leave 1. The owner (Bill) refused to comply with Texas law regarding masks during COVID and is disrespectful of customers. He would not work with my family member to come up with a fair solution and then made sexist remarks. He has anger management issues. His training methods are antiquated and don't work. Spend your money elsewhere.

People are nice...that's the main thing is the people...cause it depends on whether your pet is happy or not...or for that matter even scared...Groomers are known to lose it and take their aggressions out on the pets...I know this 4 a fact...Good Information...Happy New Year
