I was looking for muzzles for use with the Greyhounds that we rescue after being retired from the local track. Birdwell had (note the use of the past tense) very attractive pricing especially when purchased in bulk. I called on 30 May to place an order since they do not allow online ordering. After placing the order, I noted that my account had been billed and thought that the price looked a bit higher than I expected, but I am aware that many companies "make up" in shipping and handling charges what they lose by discounting products. I received the package yesterday, 4 June and was surprised when the invoice revealed that I had been charged more for the muzzles than the price on the website. I called to ask about the discrepancy, but iot was after hours and I got a recording. So I explained the problem and said that I would call back today. Before calling back today I went to the website and was again surprised to see that the price had been changed there to match what was on my invoice. How convenient! I guess my call last evening woke someone up.When I called today to ask what had happened, I was simply told that I could return them if I wasn't happy with the price.In retrospect, I should have asked for a total over the phone and also should have asked to have an invoice e-mailed to me. The product quality is exceptional. But the business approach is not.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! These people LIE like a DOG!!!! They had one price and quanity pricing of one amount listed on their website for muzzles, but when the package and the invoice came they had charged $2.50 more for each plus $18.00 shipping. RIPOFF!!! Then they went back and changed the prices on the website - we have a printout of the site with the original costs - I mean we were comparison shopping!! When contacted about refunding the difference their "customer service" response was 'If you don't like it send them back.' Wow - well okay then! Obviously this is a hobby and NOT a REAL BUSINESS - I mean they don't need our business so they probably don't really need yours either!! You've been warned...
