They have way more food items than they used too. They have some produce that they didn't used to have. They have added a whole wall of refrigerated compartments that have all kinds of food items like pizzas, TV dinners, hot pockets, milk and icecream and all kinds of stuff like that. I was totally impressed. They are now real close to having all thing that a regular grocery store has. They are real convenient for our rural area. NO alcoholic beverages at this time. Friendly staff also.

JAMES IS THE G.O.A.T! If this man isn’t a regional manager, he should be. He could teach a master class in customer service and how to connect with your customers. He deserves far more than 5 stars. We prefer the Gordonville store over any other because of James! We will gladly pass any other store just to visit with James!It’s worth mentioning ALL employees there are kind and helpful and always going above and beyond but James is top notch! We are so grateful for him and the bright, shining light he brings to everyone’s day!

I want to thank the employees of the Dollar General store on 377, Gordonville, Texas. It is one of my favorite Dollar General stores. When I am in this store, employees like James, Diana, and others, go out of their way to help. They are always courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and go out of their way to be helpful. I was doing shopping in the store and my dog was in the basket and apparently somebody's dog used the bathroom in the floor and I was told to leave rudely so if you have a pet I don't recommend taking them into the Dollar general because they might get blamed for somebody else's dog and my dog is a service dog and when I told her that she called me a liar I will be going to the Dollar general in Whitesboro for now on

Management is amazing Angela and her staff try to keep the store clean.They support are local food bank with anything they can. They do help to make community events in Sherwood Shores even better. Even if it is just candy for our community Harvest Festival/ Trunk a Tree.I Shop local when ever possible.Thank you all for great customer service

Dollar General does it again ❗️I go down to get some cough medicine around seven to 7:15 PM on New Year’s Day and there’s a sign on the door that says closed due to having perishable goods that need to be stocked. Will open in one hour or so.This is no way to run a business. Hopefully one day we will get a store in Gordonville Texas that knows what it takes to have a successful business.I would like corporate to respond to this review and let me know. Is this the way you run your business?

Love this store, workers are very nice however who ever the customer is who took my wallet shame on you I hope you enjoyed the free cash you took could have at leashed left me the wallet, we all know what a hassle it is to get another drivers license and ss card I really hope you sleep well at night knowing you stole from a stranger may God bless you in the years to come.

Great store wonderful employees. But I was concerned they only had one employee working and a truck arrived that single employee had to meet the truck and the store was without a clerk for 5 to 10 minutes. It's good that the wonderful people of Texas did not take advantage of that situation. This leaves the question why did Dollar General only schedule one employee for a very busy store?

Good clean store for supplies. Update * I'll agree with other reviews that the store has become messy. It's very cluttered and disorganized now. The owner HAS to be making enough profit to hire more staff to keep the store clean. We were so happy when it opened to have a place to get supplies while staying in Shearwood Shores at our cabin. But as time passed the store has become so messy we will probably drive further out for a clean store. It's a shame because the employees are so nice. The owner really needs to address this issue. This small community needs businesses but not if they aren't going to be up kept.

The employees are generally really nice. My main complaints are the store is almost always a mess and this has nothing to do with the employees because they are always so busy and they don't have enough employees on the clock at a time to recover the store. Also, there are 3 registers yet I have never seen the 3rd one open. Which brings me back to not having enough employees on at a time. Id say 70% of the time I go in there, I have to wait in a line. Again, I cannot blame the employees for this, this is a company issue. You will see it in almost every DG. The exception is some stores are not as busy as others but this store is always busy so it would just make more sense to have enough employees on shift, which will probably never happen. I love almost everyone who works there so customer service is good that is why I give the store 3 stars.

Decent clearance frequency out front. Friendly staff. They're doing their best, to be so isolated out there. But the checkout lines are so long every time I go. (Yet my job app was denied. Lol)

Something has happened to this store and it appears that management isn't staffing it properly to maintain it. I actually worry about elderly people falling as every aisle is cluttered and things are always out of place. Every time you go in there, there are shopping carts full of products throughout the store to be put on shelves. Perhaps they should leave them in the back until ready to really work on it. It's really obvious how messy this store has become when you stop in other stores.. Visit the one on Hwy 289 in Gunter. It's amazing ! The people on staff are nice but something is really not right with this store. It didn't used to be like this :(

Place is unsafe stuff and carts in the isle,s step stools in the way it is not wheel chair assembly. If the place was on fire you could not get out

Too small and prices are higher then other dollar stores because they know they are the only thing around. There is so much in the store... all needed, but the building is so small it's hard to navigate your cat around and and it's member lighted well.

There was an older lady lair last night it was working she's pretty rude about you guys having bathrooms in your stores because I guess she doesn't like the idea that she has to clean them I used to work in customer service if you don't ever act like that around customers

Every dollar general I've visited is poorly organized and looks filthy. Aisles are cluttered and tripping over merchandise in aisle. Shelves are bare and merchandise is left in boxes not put away so you walk out because your item was unable to reach because sealed in boxes not opened! I thought it was only the store in whitesboro tx but it's in the store in gordonville txand enos Oklahoma also...

It's what you'd expect from a town in this location. Some of the staff are nice, others really dislike being there. Pretty much have everything you need but is pretty pricey. DG in general I guess.

This store never has diet cokes every time I go there is not one 6 pk of bottle diet coke I have to buy them separately and price is high please get coke man to put more diet cokes in store.
