Even though Brookshire's is kind of pricey, this store is very clean, organized and the employees are well mannered. Multiple time I believe I have seen the mangers on the floor working right along side the other workers settinga great example. This place is worth visiting especially if your local and cant make it out of town.

I shopped for groceries tonight,4/13/24 with my wife and daughter and checked out at 9PM. They close at 10PM. The were 0 lanes open. There were cashiers standing around and talking. I thought, no problem, we'll use the self checkout. The employee at the self checkout literally stood over my shoulder watching me scan items, asking, did you scan this yet? What about that? This is very rude. He was literally close enough that when I turned around, he bumped me. If they are so concerned about theft, then open up at least one lane with a cashier. I have shopped here for years, but I will not be patronizing Brookshires anymore.

They have Self check out now. Not a plus for me. Their groceries are expensive. I use them only when I need something that I can't find anywhere else. Gladewater only has one full grocery store. I definitely don't recommend shopping here.

Best Brookshires is in Gladewater, TX! Staff is friendly and they always have what I need. The deli has lots of options to choose from. If you can't find what your looking for Ms. Pat will find it for you! Cashiers are very friendly!

It's not the store, but rather the system. Being the only grocery store in town, Brookshires has no competition. Without competition, there is no price drops in order to beat another store's prices. Expensive for such a plain jane supermarket. Just sayin.

I always buy from the produce section because they are known for great quality and have never had a problem. I brought a bag of grapefruit there told the lady I didn't want a refund just more fruit. She ask me did I have a receipt if not they had to investigate seriously who keeps receipts when they are buying from a business known for quality. I got a watermelon for 4.49 a lemon for 89 cents and a cucumber for 50 cent the grapefruit was $5,49. She told me she would not charge me for the watermelon and the cucumber I said wait you ripping me off for 50 cent then she pulled out her phone and told me she would take the lemon off and I would only be losing 12 cent that was still ripping me off. I left the store and on my way home I decided to pull off the road to check my receipt. I found out she lied she only took the watermelon off. I called back to the store and talked to a manager who was very very pleasant and was told bring my last receipt back. I lost way more than a dollar but it was the principle of the fact a customer should be ripped off I don't care if it's a penny. She looked at my receipt and saw I was telling the truth. She immediately gave me my dollar I was ripped off for. I ask her name she told me Liz and the lady who ripped me off name she said Anna. Brookshires is known for sparkling clean stores, fresh quality, and excellent customer service. I wrote this review so another customer want be treated like Anna treated me. I don't want her to lose her job but it should be documented and put in her file to make her aware.

Best grocery store in Gladewater. Good curbside service 👍 clean restroom. They have added self checkout lanes. Found out Tuesdays and Thursdays are Senior Days, get a discount

First time in the Gladewater store and I have to say the employees are very friendly. We went to the deli and they only had 2 pieces of fish and we wanted a lb. So they said give us 10 minutes and cooked more. Very friendly ladies. Have to say all the employees where very friendly. Way better experience here than we have had in the Kilgore store. Thank you! and we will definitely be back since it is the same distance from where we live to the store there in Gladewater or to the store in Kilgore. Again thank you for the better experience at this store!!

I just went to the deli bakery and wanted 2 boxes of chicken 10 pieces each. It was 12:05 noon. I was told I had to Call in an order that big. Well I said you have plenty made she said it will buy me out. I wasn’t asked to walk around while they made me some or nothing. I said I’m buying 20 pieces of that chicken or I will get the manager. It doesn’t matter if i buy it all or you sell it to 10 diff people. She gripped but she made me 2 boxes of 10 p of chicken. It wouldn’t have Made a diff if I wanted all that was cooked. Or she could have offered to cook me some and I would have waited. I was coming out of that deli with 20 pieces of chicken after she acted like she didn’t want to cook any. That’s why there’s 2 people that work in the deli bakery.As high as food is someone wanting 20 pieces of chicken should have not been a problem.

Brookshires in Gladewater, cooked fresh fish, extremely friendly, didn't hang up when we called .. never will use brookshires in Kilgore again!!! No grumpy old lady to tell me to go get a sales ad when I asked what was on sale, like in Kilgore, they told me price of fish, chicken was on sale and fish would take about 10 minutes.. didn't get the, we don't have no fish and the cooks on break..... The whole store just had a different friendly atmosphere!!!..Once again, job well done,, you Kilgore people keep eating that nasty dried up fish, if you're lucky to get some.. I mean, the fish cook may go on break and no fish out and obviously he is the only guy.. Gladewater seems to have a whole team that has it together.. and cook it fresh right then if there isn't enough.. obviously that's a difference in management.. one cares and one don't.. I know the Gladewater folks are always super friendly and the Kilgore folks not so much, especially at the deli. Ain't been my first complaint about Kilgore but it's all good... I have my store now, Kilgore can keep their rich regulars..

Very nice friendly employees. Very sweet young man there today offered to carry out only 3 small bags for me. I didn't let him waste his energy in the heat for 3 small bags but it was nice for him to attempt and not just assume someone can handle or don't want help. Small things like that make all the difference in a business experience for me.

Hardly ever any lines at this location. I know that I can get in and get what I need and get out. And for a grocery store in a small town, they have a tremendous variety of cheeses. I love cheese and they have all different kinds of block cheese! It is just crazy the amount of cheese they have and I love it!

We don’t live in Gladewater but we often need to pick up a little something for a church function. We are so glad we have this store nearby, they always seem to have what we need.Love the refrigerated section, so clean and well organized, the glass doors are a nice touch!

This is the best "hometown" grocery store. They know their customers. They have several long-term employees who've seen families grow and add so much to their town. I appreciate this immensely.

I actually went there to get some fruit. I was passing the Deli and she was putting fresh fish out that looked amazing. I couldn't help it I bought one piece and regretted it. I started to turn around and go back to get some more but didn't want to look greedy. There fresh at 5 was amazing. It made me buy something I was not going to buy. I will be going back to buy more fish. The steam table was completely full of fresh product. The best I have seen shopping late in the evening.

One of the better locations. Store is well organized. Staff is friendly and helpful. We shop there often and have never had any complaints. Produce can be pricey at times but still pretty good if you compare them to places like Wal-Mart. Very nice small town grocery store.

I have had a couple bad experiences with this location. None in which needed to leave a bad review. Just a few things missing here and there from pick up orders. Rude cashiers. But this morning I picked up a simple $40 order. They forgot half of my order, when I texted them to tell them they said “sorry ma’am.” Hah! The individual who brought the groceries out is a manager of some sort I assume. Never again will I do pick up orders from there, will not be returning if I don’t have to.
