DG is fine. The fact that for 10+ years this corporation AND building owners refuse to fix the A/C is ridiculous. It's uncomfortable AF to shop when over 85° degrees and I can not imagine how horrible for the employees it is.

It’s your normal dollar general. My only complaint is that the store needs to be remodeled because it is real dingy and dirty looking.

This store has went way down hill. There is inventory everywhere that hasn't been put on the shelves so the shelves are not stocked and they look bare. U can barely get through the store for all the inventory everywhere The store was dirty and smelled as well. The staff is nice though

Got the app just for the coupons then was told they don't use the coupons here expect for on Saturdays which it doesn't say it on the app. Only one register open with 20 people waiting in line and taking their time just to tell me I couldn't use my coupons. That's why dollar general is going down y'all don't know how to get people in here to buy stuff and when you try it fails miserably. Will be sticking to Walmart or any other store from now on

The Dollar general in gilmer Texas was very cluttered, boxes in the aisles, merchandise was not on the shelves, etc. Dollar general in gilmer needs help. I know that hired help is hard to get. But someone needs to come in and stop the store if that's all they're hired for

Very busy! Which is the usual, but for this store the employees work really hard and are very friendly. They only had an issue with payments for cards, and some parts of the store were out of sorts. But, it is a Dollar General, so I am used to that, but wished they would organize everything better.

This particular store isn't one I'd recommend. It was a huge mess and the aisle setup was chaotic. I wasn't able to look or purchase one particular item because it was blocked by a mountain of overstock items. The amount of items they are trying to display is to much for just a cashier to deal with in between customers. It seems like instead of bringing in customers with new or affordable items the store is losing business because of all the mess and chaos.

Thank store has improved so much over the past 6-8 months. So much cleaner, you can actually get down the isles. And the staff is awesome too!! Chris and Michael are your people, pleasers.

The manager has a bad attitude and talks about her customers behind there backs. Like saying they didn't have enough money when they walked in now I have to put all this extra stuff back on the shelves. I have enough to due without extra work. Pittsburg sells out of there items on sale. I see why this store doesn't sell out of items, customers don't want to coupon in the store bc of management.

Almost every Dollar general I go to has a very long wait for checkout even though they have put self checkouts in I have yet to see any location actually using the self checkout. however I was in such a hurry I was pleased to find that the Gilmer Texas Dollar general checked out five people in front of me and only 4 minutes. Wow!

The older lady that works in the evening is just fantastic! Wish I could remember her name. If it was just about her I'd have given five stars. The store itself is not always stalked and organized

We shop here often, especially when we don't want to walk through a bigger store like Wal-Mart, it's a lot more convenient. They have a good variety of canned foods, $ items, and lots of other things that are often cheaper than Wal-Mart, too. If you're on a budget this is a good place to stock up on day-to-day items.

This Dollar General has a large parking lot. Easy to maneuver. Inside the store the aisles are cluttered. Items are in disarray. The store is not as clean as it should be or as I would like for it to be. There's usually a line so, a quick check out is generally out of the question.

The employees are nice but that's about all it has going for it they never ever have all the inventory out I mean ever, ever...ever but the worst most terrible thing about this dg is the wait to check out is insane and this happens regularly and if you wait and think"this line will go pretty fast, iv got time!"....you dont and ya better go ahead and just run to Wal-Mart!! Its taking a lot of being late thinking ill just run in and grab whatever real quick and be on my way....no sir I will not and that's just that!!:)

Person named "Evelyn " has been there too long. Last visit, she expected for me to hold the door when she went out and back in. Never said excuse me, I'm sorry, my bad..... didn't even speak in checkout until she had to delay check out while she had to find and apply a band aid.

The slowest checkout at a store Ive ever experienced. Reciente remodel added a self check out but Its never been open and has boxes and junk stacked on it and in front of it.

Coupons don't always work right in this store for some reason. Check your reciepts. I had a $2 coupon and it took of like 32¢. ECT bc I had more coupons and did the same with every one. Only place I have issues with when using them.

The people there are really rude 😠. The cashier was the only nice person there, the other employees acted like it was problem to help me find the items that I needed. Will NOT be back there. I'll take my 🚌 elsewhere !

I love the fact that we have a Dollar General in Gilmer!!! I hate going to Walmart and I can get essentials at Dollar General and be in and out quickly. The cashiers and managers are always nice and personable.

Every Dollar General store is always well stocked and great people to help you find whatever you are looking for. Gilmers store is one of my favorites because everyone makes you feel welcomed.

I like the employees here they are always friendly and courteous but I wish Dollar General would upgrade the store the condition of it is horrible those workers deserve a cleaner bigger place to work in...just my thoughts

This is in China Texas just passed the lights going north. It’s very much a local store because there’s no other stores there and it has just about anything you would need. The staff is very friendly and the store is most of the time very clean.

One of the messiest Dollar General's I've ever been in. Needs to be straighten up and stocked. Didn't have small milk and no gallons of water which is what came for. It was 8pm and no seems to be working on it.
