A great place for a cool beer and lunch after a hot morning exploring the shops and market. The staff were friendly and the service was great. A nice range of beers on tap and bottled. We can recommend their sandwiches too.2 TV options for watching sport that weren't intrusive on us chatting. On the day (Saturday afternoon) we went, there was some live music (guitarist) which gave the place a great vibe.We wished we had bought a cooler with us as their fresh meat looked great, already for a barbecue.

Once again another really bad experience with the so called owner of establishment. About 5’10 curly hair wearing a grey button up shirt on Saturday at the poppy festival. Throughout the day making drunken insults and remarks at everyone in the restroom line mostly at women and children which little did he know we were all customers. My family, friends, and I watched him also go table to table making remarks and the looks on every customers face had disgust. Eventually started making scenes outside and as we made it to our lawn chairs, everyone around us only had bad things to say about the guy. Drunk all the time, unprofessional, and definitely not a business man. I don’t think he or the company realizes how much business they have lost or continue to lose frequently. We visit the square very often and will never go back to Tejas. We will tell everyone about our experiences. Food is also not great and the beer is usually flat.

Would give a zero but google wont let me. Went to this establishment today with extreme disappointment, was in line using the restroom when a white caucasian man about 5’10 (and that’s being generous) who allegedly stated that he was the “owner of the establishment” which he clearly wasn’t because the “owner”‘wouldn’t be wasted on the job cursing out children, holding a drink while paying customers standing in line waiting to use the restroom. I was incredibly disgusted and disappointment with the little care for their customers or human life at all.

The Tejas Dip sandwich was delicious! Service was a little slow. Very clean and a nice set up. Don't order the chips and salsa because it tasted like tortilla chips were out of a bag (not even restaurant style) and the salsa like it was from a jar.

I was totally surprised to see this new business off of the square in Georgetown. I walked in not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. It is decorated with rustic / modern-farmhouse decor with an area for playing "lawn games" like corn hole. There is a bar area to order drinks and sandwiches as well as a butcher counter with various cuts of meat available for sale. A unique business concept for the area. We enjoyed grabbing a beer and ordering sandwiches. I tried the Texas dip ( a twist on a traditional French dip) which was tasty. I could tell that the quality of meat was top notch. A great addition to the restaurant scene in Georgetown.

I would start off by giving this place no stars. Tejas has disrespectful, ignorant, immature and lazy employees here. My family and I come to the poppy fest every year and last night we purchased from Teja’s and the so called “owner” disrespected me by yelling at me waiting in the line to use the restroom. He was cussing at me when I was not talking to him at all. He was cussing at little kids and all woman especially. He then yelled and cussed at us walking out of the facility. I will NEVER go back here and I will make it well known for anyone that comes to the Georgetown square.

This place is more of a bar with small menu then it is a meat supplier. Menu is almost all sandwiches. A little bit slow in the making but the dip I had was very tasty. They do sell high quality meat but the selection wasn't as much as you'd expect at a meat supply. They also sell a nice selection of BBQ rubs.

Great sandwiches, fantastic bar, good live music. Have been twice in like 3 weeks. Also, as of last visit, the process are deceptively reasonable. No booths, but plenty of individual tables for 2-6Parking: It just depends on the time of day. It's in the middle of downtown Georgetown so, during busy times, parking is scant if you want to be close, but, as long as you're not afraid of a short walk, there's plenty of parking available.

Not just a meat market...Ice cold beer and the best Cuban sandwich I've had in a long time, what's not to love. The staff were very friendly. The place was clean and roomy.

The Georgetown melt was really good. The turkey BLT we thought didn’t have much turkey. Husband is a fan of the 32 oz beers you can walk around with. The service (at the bar) was really good, everyone checks on you. Wish they had side options other than chips.

Tejas Meat Supply is a must. When your father, a man of few words, says "it's great", you have a winner. This place is just such a gem. We all tried different sandwiches and just loved what we had. The staff were all friendly and the interior is set up to be relaxing. Place your food order at the bar and be prepared for some nice cuts of meat. I recommend lunch to anyone, including families. Don't let the short menu fool you, it's all quality. Tejas Meat Supply is located right on the town square across from Gumbos. I recommend everything, you can't govwrong.

Terrible. The owner is rude and the place seems like it's run by people who don't care about the Georgetown community. Worst place on the square. Don't go.

Interesting place and concept. Roomy, lots of choices in food and drink. Going to have to try this place again!

I came in wanting to support a local business. They just don't have the integrity to stand behind their prices advertised behind the counter. I was told the price behind the counter was months old. I don't think I'll be coming back out of principal. Not upset just disappointed. I'll just go to HEB Next time. The meat isn't discolored there and the price is more reasonable... And HEB is still local.

I went for lunch and got a Georgetown Melt and Queso. The place was nicely decorated and cool. The food was okay. Not the best brisket sandwich I've ever had...and the queso was watery. Not sure if I'd go again. Wasn't impressed.

I absolutely LOVE Tejas! I come here 2-3 times a month because the food and the people are worth it. The staff have always been so welcoming. We also love buying our steaks there as well

We ordered 3 sandwiches and they took 55 minutes to bring them to us. The grilled cheese wasn’t melted and the rest of the sandwiches were cold. The brisket was very chewy and probably needed to be heated before putting onto the sandwiches. The place is nice and the beer is good but I wouldn’t come here for food. They may just need more kitchen help.

Horrible food and it took over an hour to get 2 sandwiches. They were smart, though. They make you pay upfront before you get your food. Otherwise, nobody would pay for this garbage. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Don’t waste your time and money on this place!

Sandwiches were not good - looked good but definitely not good. Turkey BLT - tasted the turkey but the bacon was Canadian style I guess and was soft not crispy.Wife had the chicken. She said it was tough / chewy like leather and for some reason they used a hair to season it with. You get a bag of chips. $11 for the sandwich and a bag of chips. Plus it took about 15-20 minutes to make them. The presentation did look good. Unfortunately - they did not taste as good as they looked. One big positive - they do have Texas Pride beer on draft. Man that helped wash down the sandwich! We went there because it was not crowded for Sunday lunch. Now we know why

My wife and I went there for lunch. Their menu is very limited. I had the Georgetown Melt. It was supposed to have brisket and bacon, but it was sparse. The flavor was lacking. My wife had the smoked turkey sandwich from the kids menu and she said it was one of the worst sandwiches she had ever had. With two teas and bags if chips, the bill was around $25. All I can say is they better sell a lot of beer. I checked out the Meat Market and they had New York Strips for $26/lb..

Was just there yesterday looking for a sirloin. Butcher was happy to cut and trim one just for me. Staff are always polite and their beef is excellent. Good selection of beer and wine if you decide to sit for awhile.

I've always brought friends and family including our children to both Mesquite Creek and Tejas Meat Supply. We have always enjoyed it and never had issues in the past. Countless times we have done this. Yesterday, was a slower than normal business volume for y'all and we were one of the few people in the building. As I was trying to enjoy my sandwich and a beer, I assume what is the manager came up and said that my kids are being too loud. He said that we ran six patrons off although the entire time I was there I probably saw two. One sat at the bar that I had a good conversation with him. I believe the only person that was annoyed with the kids was the manager himself. I've been in this place and Mesquite Creek to where the volume was raucous and loud, and it seems to be just part of the environment. Maybe you should put a sign on the door that says children aren't allowed so that we know not to bring kids in there anymore. I have spoken with several other people that say they bring their kids there and they have a good time no problems, despite loud kids. Truly made us feel unwelcome there ever again.

First of all, I will say the decor was really cool and the quality, and flavor of the of the meat was really good. The portion sizes were REALLY small though and the sandwiches should be half the price. Also, we had to request napkins and forks. I would suggest making it clear where you order too. I would agree with a few of the other reviews that the service is lacking. This was our Father's day meal. We wanted to like it, but we won't be back.

Awesome steak, just picked up a NY strip tonight and cooked it up, worth every penny it was delicious, very tender and great marbling of the fat made every bite great. This place looks very cool to hangout and have a drink they have some tables and a bar area as well as some games like corn hope set up in an area as well. Staff was friendly and attentive, and I’m very glad they are open late on a Sunday.

Gave this place multiple chances, but service & food is terrible. Last time there we ordered the Tejas dip, mine was supposed to be without cheese. Both came with cheese. The guy making the sandwiches said that he left the cheese off of mine, but clearly it had cheese on it. The waiter agreed with me that there was cheese on it. Nothing was done about it, no money back, nothing. I have a dairy allergy, not lactose intolerance. Horrible place, should not be part of beautiful Georgetown square.
