I recently visited PetSmart for a grooming appointment for my dog, Millie, with a groomer named Tamara. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory.Upon arrival, Tamara did not greet or acknowledge Millie, She was not friendly with me either, which was the first red flag. I requested a simple trim, but Tamara insisted on a shorter cut due to matting, although I believed it was manageable with brushing, as I've seen it be done before.The initial quote for the grooming service was $85, with an additional $25 for deluxe services including teeth brushing, nail trimming, and a bandana. However, Millie did not receive a bandana, and I have doubts about the teeth brushing as Tamara mentioned she couldn't trim Millie's nails. When it was time to pay, I was shocked to see a charge of $165. This included multiple additional fees I was not informed of and an unjustified $40 dematting fee, even though Millie was completely shaved bald instead of being dematted.When I confronted Tamara about the overcharge and the service provided, she was uncooperative. She claimed Millie was difficult to handle, and yapping and crying all over the table, which contradicts my previous experiences and videos of her being groomed calmly by other professionals, and also makes me worry what kind of environment I had left my dog in for her to be crying for the four hours she was there.Moreover, I had informed the salon in advance about Millie's traumatic past and her sensitivity due to past injuries. This information was overlooked, raising concerns about the level of care and compassion provided.In summary, the lack of communication, empathy, and professionalism at this PetSmart grooming salon, particularly from Tamara, was deeply disappointing. The overcharging and inadequate service have left me concerned about the treatment of all pets under their care. Ive attached pictures of mille the night before and morning of the haircut, and the results I was left with for reference

Very disappointed with the grooming here. I was told over the phone it’ll be $40 and it ended up being $50. They also did not trim the hair underneath his paw like they said they would. I showed them and they said yes it’s trimmed see. When a manager came over and talked to me he took the grooming paper and walked straight back to grooming. He didn’t even bother talking to me before heading back to grooming. I told the cashier “the groomers are just going to tell the same thing to him as they told me, even though they told me was a was not true” sure enough the manager came back and they told him the exact same thing. Very unprofessional. Will not be coming back here again to pay $50 for a quick wash and nail cut without even filling them down. Save your money and go somewhere else.Cashier was nice. They have good kong products is why I gave it at least two stars.

I went in w/ my family to buy a fish and my son accidentally broke a decor piece for a fish tank. We paid for it but afterwards felt the workers should have interjected and stopped us. I didn’t feel any compassion shown by the employees but understand they may not have children and cannot personally relate. This felt distasteful and wrong. I honestly feel there is an incidental coverage for instances such as this and we shouldn’t have been held accountable for it. Nonetheless, we did break it so we bought it.

I am very disappointed with our recent visit to Petsmart Georgetown. I took my Golden Retriever there for a bath, and he was returned to me still damp, with his hair unusually wavy, something I've never seen in his six years. My Cotton de Tulear also had a very unsatisfactory service; after her haircut, her hair was not dried or brushed properly. Moreover, I was charged an additional $20 scissoring fee, which should be included in the regular cutting fee. The attention to detail that I expected was missing, and it seems the groomer, Tamara, was not as thorough as one would hope. Unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to return or recommend this place to others.

The PETSMART in Georgetown is spectacular. The employees are just wonderful. It has "everything" you need for your pets, to include healthy snacks, a ton of dog toys, food, beds, and accessories. Bird supplies, cat supplies, it has vet care and grooming as well. I could spend hours in there, its all inclusive for all types of pets, even fish.

Kind & gentle Groomer! We took our dogs in for a nail trim on a Saturday and Zach fit them in and took the very best care of them. Would recommend this guy 10/10 times!!

I took my 13-year-old and 5 month old dogs in for bath, toothbrush, and nail trim. This was one of the best grooming experiences I can remember in a while. The staff was very friendly and expressed an interest in the welfare of my dogs.

Absolutely love Hailey and Aubrey in grooming, they always do such a good job with my babies and both always come home looking so cute. Definitely recommend this location.

With the way they keep each betta in a tiny cup, all of them were sick when I tried to pick one out the other day. Either dead, looking like they’re about to die, or torn up fins. Drove to a nearby second PetSmart and the same thing there. I know they’re fish but it’s cruel

On February 7th, 2023 I was shopping at this particular Petsmart with my Belgium Malinois puppy who is about 6 months old. I was training him while walking around the store. Coincidentally, there was a Petsmart training class going on as I was shopping. I was minding my business in one of the aisles when Michelle, the Petsmart trainer, impolitely turned to me and said, "Give me some space. This dog is a little anxious so we're going to need more room". I replied okay and walked away but left shortly afterward. She was extremely rude the entire time I was walking around the store. I overheard her on multiple occasions addressing her entire class concerning my "incorrect" training methods. I've been in this situation at other locations and instead of being rude the trainer would use it as a training moment for the class. I highly suggest everyone save themselves some headache and go to the Round Rock location for training. The trainer there is much more friendly and knows her stuff. The funny thing is I know exactly what I'm doing and have been successfully training dogs on and off for almost a decade, so the fact this trainer would attempt to belittle me in front of her class shows a lot about her character. Do yourself a favor and go to Round Rock for your dog training needs!

I've gotten several beautiful cichlids here. Chanda and another ga with dark curly hair have a decent amount of knowledge of cichlids & are very friendly & extremely sweet.I have had to point out ick in a couple tanks before. Most of my fish from there have done great. A few have passed but gotta love their return a dead fish policy at least. These two I got today....

They sell expired food and kibble with bugs in it!! I noticed at the counter the only bag of the food I needed was expired, the cashier just blank stared, not willing to help in any way. When I was asking if there may be any more in the back I said I didn’t even think about needing to check something like that, she said “they” are supposed to check that. Honey, YOU are they!! So I get a different kind and after a day of feeding I notice at least a couple hundred very mature weevils and their huge larvae in the kibble!! I’ve had enough issues here already in the past with them refusing to price match food that they are overcharging for, bc as the manager put it, even though the bag, label, flavor, size, and ingredients list is exactly the same, the ingredients she says are not actually the same and that’s why she can’t price match. Lying right to me like the money is coming out of her pocket or something if she were to do that? Needles to say I will be finding a new pet store…

Store is nice. Is clean. What few Staff they had were helpful. HOWEVER: After speaking with the Manager I was told they do not have enough staff to provide animal sales/transfers in the evening. They only hire enough staff for the morning shift to sell pets.....at a pet store! So, if you want to buy a pet, at PetSmart, you have to do it on the morning. P.S. she told me to call ahead because sometimes they didn't have enough staff in the mornings either. Ridiculous!

I had a poor experience at the grooming salon due to inexperience and lack of communication, but my dog was decently groomed. HOWEVER while I was picking up my dog, I have witnessed a German Shepard who was improperly restrained and handled while he was having his claws trimmed and the poor dog fell off the grooming table!Needless to say that I will not go back there and I would recommend to anyone to seek a different place, where their pets’ safety won’t be at risk.

I had way better experience in other places, I have small dog 7lb, I paid for bath, nail cut and teeth cleaning, I paid extra for the nail grinding, I end up paying as total 62$, they did maximum gave him a bath, the nails still long, the teeth still bad they didn’t brush them

Killed my friends dog and made it seem like it was their fault. It seems like the people who run this dump of a petsmart aren’t even qualified to run a veterinary clinic. If you care about your animal please dont ever in your right mind bring them here

It was my dog Annie's first visit, she was overwhelmed with all the toys! She wasn't crazy about her new harness and car seat, but loved her new toy. Great selection of pet products and friendly staff.

The team was very friendly. I took my Australian Shepard/Border Collie mix in, and she was definitely in need of a grooming. Miss Victoria A, did a fantastic job on her. Willow was extremely excited when I dropped her off and in extremely high spirits when I picked her up. We got the HEMPZ shampoo and she was so soft. Her Grooming cut was the perfect. I will definitely be bring my pup back to get groomed by Miss Victoria.

We have found a groomer we trust completely and she does a fantastic job. She can even clean and pluck his ears which other groomers won't do. The checkout process never works as smoothly as you hope, but finding a groomer who can clean up my fluff-pup is worth it.

Pet smart was a first time experience and this particular store was amazing!the kind lady working the register asked me if I needed help even though she was busy.I said yes and she called someone to show me where the item I wanted was located.within second a wonderful young man came bounding up out of breath and was super eager to help.he took me straight to the item I was looking for and asked if there was anything else he could help me with.I said no,went to the kind lady at the register and she checked me out and was so kind and genuine!I was in and out in less than 15 minutes!fantastic first experience at Petsmart!
