Such a cute and quaint place! We stopped here on a very hot day in Georgetown and was able to make a dash to the back of the store to cool down with ice cream. I initially wanted watermelon sorbet but made a beeline for the butter pecan ice cream. The ice cream is weighed by the cup if you don’t get a cone. You can also add additional toppings to your liking. It’s a great place on the square for kids and adults alike!

Great shop with classic toys and candy. Didn't try the ice cream but must be yummy because many patrons were enjoying the many flavors.They had chocolates called "ice cubes" from Germany that my friend remembered from the 70s. Very good chocolate, I got a dozen 😋

Whenever we are in Georgetown, we stop by to try our favorite ice cream “ Scoops Old Fashioned Ice Cream “ , the best ice cream in town. Super cute place with old school candy and toys. Toys are made from wood, metal, and recycled materials. Ice cream shop is a popular attraction for the kids along with pay by weight candy selection.

Cute store and delicious ice cream! I wanted so much to love this because the reviews and pictures were awesome. When we walked in I was disappointed to see it almost completely void of any toys. Multiple shelves were completely empty and the shelves that did have things on them were messy and unorganized. The kids behind the counter were kind and said hello but other than that ignored us. They chatted with each other and sat silently on their phones with their feet up on the counter. At one point one of the girls was sitting on a display shelf having a full conversation over facetime with a friend on her cellphone. It was a bit disappointing when there were leaves and trash on the floor. Honestly, it looked like a store going out of business.All in all I'm not writing to be rude or nasty but to hopefully have the owners see and maybe look into it. From what I've seen this place was amazing and maybe it has just been super busy since the holidays and they haven't restocked. I hope to come back and see the place that all the buzz was about! I would love to support a great local toy store ❤️

They have several cute toys my grandson was interested. It's a cute store. Doesn't stay open very late during the week. I believe we left a restaurant and walked by about 745/8pm and they were closed. Guess those are the new normal hours for several businesses after the Covid thing 3 years ago. Would definitely recommend checking out this store.

This place has gone down hill.What once was an adorable store full of high quality unique toys is now empty and lackluster. Boasting $160 toy trucks at the front of the store.The past three visits we have noticed the staff is rude and the shelves are empty. Hardly any inventory, books, toys or candy.The toy train alphabet set was set up spelling "b****" at one visit and another time the teenage staff were arguing over a music channel.It's the end of January and they still had egg nog ice cream.We ordered our 3 year old ice cream and the girl was rude when we asked her to put it in a cone. She rolled her eyes. They also got rid of kids cones.The glass on the ice cream case was dirty. The shelves in the candy side were a mess.There was trash and leaves on the floor. Hoping this can get taken care of since it's the most kid friendly place on the Square.We won't be back until we hear it has improved.

Not just a great toy store, but now an ice cream and candy store too. This is a great addition to the Georgetown square. Mix and match section, homemade ice cream, classic sodas and candy from around the world. 5 stars!!

This place is awesome! It took me back to my childhood in Germany with our wooden toys. There’s no battery operated toys- just creative brain building interactive toys and books I remember reading as a child. This place took me to Germany and my childhood! It smells good in there and they play music that glorifies God. LOVE this place!

A must stop while in Georgetown! Scoops Ice Cream is the best. So many delicious flavors and options. Not too mention it is in a toy store. My kiddos voted 5 stars.

Wonderful idea to use no battery toys. It creates forward thinking, innovative kids and all things kids really I what you need for that!fun book collections. And ice cream ;) I even had a chance to talk with the owner about her ideas, and experience, she was prudent and kind, but not pushy.

We absolutely love this place. Downtown Georgetown is very much geared towards adult beverages and food. However, this place is a great stop for the family and you'll be able to spend a substantial amount of time here. I really enjoy the variety of toys and the number of unique brands and toy designs. They have. Most of the toys here. Really do focus on creativity and imagination. It is a very fun atmosphere and there are many hands-on products. I would also make sure that I mention their quality book selection. We spent quite a bit of time reading through books, some with finger puppets, some with lots of pictures and some for more mature readers. As you make your way to the back of the store, you will discover there is a candy shop with a wide variety of products and an ice cream shop as well. The employees are very friendly and helpful and they never seemed like we were an inconvenience or we were playing too much instead of buying stuff, which is something I've always worried about in a toy store like these. If you have kids or you're just a kid at heart, I would definitely recommend spending some time here.

The store is going downhill. Looks like a storm went through the toy and book sections. It is very disorganized and looks empty, there is barely any toy to buy. Please stock your shelves, it used to look so much better a year ago.

I went in to buy an ice cream cone...Omg it was such a hard decision. I had no idea they have over 40 different flavors,Wow! My choice was so delicious and i was so content I think my smile could be seeing for miles y'all ☺️

Toy store with lots of neat toys. Well made wooden toys. A little more expensive than toys you would get at a department store, but also worth it for the quality. Good selection of toy sets, books, and dress up. There is an ice cream shop to the back of the store that has unique and delicious ice cream. Kids paradise in one. Will go back again.

Cute store, came in for ice cream, bad experience. The young boy was rude not only to us but customers before us. No cones, no water and no desire to be helped. Almost like he was made to be there. He needs attitude adjustment. Ice cream was great.

As a veteran and a father I give this place a top rating. My wife and I were shopping in Georgetown and saw that they were closed in remembrance of one of our darkest days in the history of this country. I saw this sign up on 9/11 and it brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of why I'm honored to serve this great nation. Their wares are also top notch and I recommend this family oriented and patriotic store. 😀

Great home-made ice cream and friendly service. The toy store side is amazing with natural educational toys and much more.This store has changed a lot since we were last here. The toy side of the store is not as grandiose and fun as it used to be.The ice cream is still good but service is hit or miss. Half the staff was on their phones while one girl ran a very busy ice cream counter.

A gem. The ice cream was creamy, unique and scrumptious. So nostalgic to see so many of my favorite childhood toys again. Customer service was friendly and knowledgeable. My family will frequently enjoy this establishment for years to come as ice cream, candy, toys and books are a major part of our lives being as though we have 2 little ones.

I mostly come here for the great selection of candy they have. I wish they had more chocolate options, though. My favorite are the sour neon gummy bears. The staff is very friendly, and the store has an old-timey, cozy feel to it. They have a lot of different toys and books for all ages. I haven't tried the ice cream, but I hear it's amazing.

Walked in for 2 scoops of ice cream, the sign on the door was flipped to open. An employee quickly walked towards us and said we’re closed and chased us out. It was 9:01 when we checked the time. We walked around the corner (completely unaware of when these places close). We walked into Baked Bear and we asked if they were closed and they smiled, said yes but what can we get you? Thank you Baked Bear for saving the end of date night.

Adorable store filled with everything a child could want. I love love love their ice cream, best ice cream in Georgetown! But due to high price, we purchase it infrequently. That's probably a good thing though, at least for our figures!

I love the ice cream shop. They have many tasty flavors of high quality ice cream. My kids love running through the candy, seeing all the novelty candy items.I love the high quality toys - I wish they weren't so expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. It's just not a place I can often take my kids to for anything other than the ice cream.

Wow!! You can smell the waffle cones from the street!! Delighted to find out they added an ice cream counter in the back!! With CRAZY GOOD WEIRD flavors!! I sampled the "red wine, & blue" with blue cheese! And the lavender. But was happy with my final decision of rum raisin and a scoop of Amaretto cheesecake!! Can't wait to go back and try more crazy flavors!! 😁👍💕

So many great toys that I have never seen anywhere else. The store is beautiful and clean. Toys are displayed at all levels so kids can explore for themselves. I love supporting local businesses like this one that have so much to offer. The ice cream shop in the back makes it an extra special outing for you and your kids.

This toy shop is unlike any other. The ice cream store in the back is just incredible with fabulous options for kids and adults. The lavender honey ice cream is delicious, as are the beer, wine & whiskey flavors. Don't worry, plain flavors are there too for those who want to keep things classic, and some exciting options like the campfire (S'mores) ice cream, which every kid loves. The toys in this shop are amazing. There's a lot of nostalgia, old cars, wood puzzles, cap guns, noise makers and tops... And the new products are so cool and tend to be geared towards learning and creativity. Best shop for families, anywhere!!
