Here are pictures of my sweet puppy, Rueger. He has grown so much this first year and sometimes thinks he is a lap dog when he crawls on my lap! He is a very loving and sweet boy. He is very attached to me and my husband and is very friendly around others. We are approaching his first birthday and he is still very much a toddler and must be watched constantly. He is still a chewer and he has chewed the furniture covering on my dining room chair, decorative pillows and the sofa (kind of happy about the sofa as I want to replace it but my husband does not). I am hopeful that he will outgrow this with time. For now, we keep him kenneled at night and he does well with that. He loves going to the woods and running along the 4-wheelers!Rueger loves and needs his walks! We get tons of compliments on him on our walks. He is whistle trained and responds well to commands. People are always amazed at how well he performs on our walks! He has lots of drive and is full of energy! The more time I spend with him training or playing or walking the more attached he becomes! Such a loving and sweet dog!

A Tribute to an Exceptional Belgian Malinois and the Breeders Who Made It PossibleFrom the moment we decided to add a Belgian Malinois into our lives, we knew not only did we want a dog from a breeder with extensive experience, health testing, and a health guarantee but also a breeder willing to provide support and guidance as we embarked on this journey. In our search, we luckily stumbled upon Lonestar Malinois. Their breed expertise was obvious and we were thrilled to submit a questionnaire and pay our deposit. Lonestar Malinois does NOT allow you to pick out your puppy but instead, through their selection process, they carefully match new owners with a puppy. Approximately one week prior to picking up our pup, we found out we were matched with “Freeda” later changed to Luvah (Gunner X Ziva)Luvah was nothing less than extraordinary. Her temperament was a perfect testament to the breed—she was neither nervy nor defensive, making her an amazing companion who joined us in every aspect of our lives. She was a true ambassador for the Belgian Malinois, embodying all of the qualities that make this breed remarkable. Training her was a breeze; she excelled in PSA, Trick Dog, Barn Hunt, and more. She traveled, she hiked, she swam, she went paddleboarding and completed two canine biathlons and one Spartan K9 race. While her life was short, she lived more than most humans. She was high energy, as is to be expected of the breed, yet it was never chaotic and she easily learned the elusive “off switch.” She demonstrated balanced drives, was neutral to dogs and people, exactly what you would hope for in a Malinois, especially one that went on to be trained in personal protection. She flawlessly executed several home invasion scenarios, carjacking, and attack on handler, ensuring her people were always safe. When not “working,” she was social and friendly to those she met. Everywhere we went, we received compliments on her behavior and training.The unexpected loss of Luvah at such a young age (3 years and 3 months) was a gut punch we could have never been prepared for. It was an immense loss that left a void not only in our hearts, but everyone who knew and loved her. We are comforted knowing her spirit lives on through the countless videos, pictures, and memories we have of her. She was truly one of a kind.In closing, we cannot recommend Lonestar Malinois enough. They love their dogs and are truly dedicated to the breed. We are planning to start over with another puppy from them, hoping to once again experience the joy and companionship that Luvah brought into our lives. If you're considering a Belgian Malinois, look no further than Lonestar Malinois. We will forever be grateful for our time, albeit short, with Luvah. She was everything we could have ever wanted in a dog. They are truly the best in what they do, and we are forever grateful for the time we had with our girl, thanks to them.

When I bought my baby Havoc (Aladdin), Megan allowed us to see the sire and dame and I could rub a blanket over the same to make sure havoc got to have her scent as long as possible.Havoc is the most stable malligator I have ever been around and mentally stable. He is medium drive and learns things in 15 min or less.I love that Lonestar Malinois took time to interview and match us with the perfect dog.When I 5 years later needed advice and had questions they happily answered and seemed genuinely interested in the wellbeing of dog and family. I've had issues in the past with less than honest breeders, so I did my homework this time around. LoneStar not only breeds some of the greatest Malinois you can find but they train them too. Whether you're looking for a family lovebug, a bruiser, a competition dog or a moviestar, they have breed stock with genetics that get you what you want. We asked them for a tall order. 2 puppies one to compete and 1 with less drive. That was EXACTLY what we got. It's been pretty challenging with 2 puppies and it takes a village and nearly all your time for the first 2-3 months but we could have never done it without LoneStar's fantastic genetics and knowledge of their pups selecting precisely what we asked for. I couldn't imagine a better pair of more beautiful dogs. It's been several months now and our boys are just what we always dreamed of and then some.

Long overdue review. LoneStar Malinois was amazing to deal with. Their process for obtaining a pup is excellent since they do everything they can to insure you and the pup are successful and that you are very aware of the breed. Milo (Meelo) is 18 months now, about 67lbs. From Gunner and Kore . Incredibly athletic and a very loving dog. I couldn't be happier with him. Loves to play and train. I would definitely use LoneStar Malinois again, both owners are very knowledgeable too and more than willing to help. Their communication during the process was very good as well. They truly care about their dogs.

Nowadays buying a dog on the internet but you have nothing to worry about. They are very professional beautiful facility. We were in the registered Angus business for quite a few years and the foundation of any herd is genetics. They account for not only color but temperament, physical ability, and longevity. When we began looking for a Belgian Malinios, genetics was the cornerstone of our buying decision. I liked what I saw at Lone Star and I haven’t been disappointed.Our pups have been as advertised…robust and healthy. They have a good mind and are more than willing learners. These traits are not an accident. These animals are the product of careful breeding by people who are invested in making your experience a great one and are willing to be there for you should you have any questions or concerns in the future. They are also aware that the animal placement needs to be correct for your situation and I believe they work hard to make sure that the animal fits your needs.Now, I’m sure you can find “cheaper” animals, but you won’t find the quality and follow up that Lone Star can offer.

Meagan and Justin are extremely knowledgeable about the breed and Meagan was very helpful in addressing all of my questions and concerns throughout the process. They picked a perfect puppy for us and we couldn’t be happier! Nala’s absolutely beautiful, a great family dog, SO smart, and so much fun. We have four kids and another dog and she has been a perfect fit. We couldn’t be happier! I love that they provide lifetime support and keep in touch after you take your puppy home. They truly love what that do and care about their dogs. If we were to ever decide to get another Malinois, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Lonestar! We heard about LoneStar Malinois from a fellow Marine who had one of their pups. He adored his pup and I got to enjoy some time with her and I was hooked. We called up Meagan at LoneStar and got on a waiting list. Our Girl “Scout” is coming up on her 1 yr birthday. We as a family have loved every moment with her. Definitely recommend Lone Star Malinois! Their process is very thorough, which may seem off-putting to the layman dog owner, but pays off with a Malinois. Can’t say enough about how great Meagan and Justin have been, and how much we adore our pup.We are first time Malinois owners, and after extensive research on the breed we knew we were ready. Then came the research on breeders. We knew this was important so we would end up with a healthy dog with the right temperament. We also knew we wanted a breeder that would be patient with the multitude of questions we’d have. After looking all over the country we ended up finding LoneStar Malinois right here in Texas. I called and spoke with Meagan, and knew this was going to be the breeder for us.We had to be patient after putting our deposit down because the breeder can’t control nature or the timing of litters, but eventually it was our time, and our little girl was here!We appreciated the amount of communication we got along the way as we waited for our turn. Meagan was always very transparent with us and set very clear expectations.When we picked Eden up we were given a HUGE bag of goodies with all kinds of stuff to get us started - toys, treats, food, and so much great stuff that we did not expect. She is everything we hoped for and more, is incredibly smart, loving, but also has some sass to her, and is growing into an amazing dog. In 2015, I started vetting Malinois breeders to help me decide if a Malinois would be a good choice for me and my family. Being a dog trainer I was looking for a puppy to train as my demo dog. After corresponding with a few breeders, Justin of Lonestar Malinois called me back and spent over an hour discussing the breed. Over the next few months Justin and I talked on the phone. He then invited me and my family to come visit the kennel so he could meet us. My son got to play fetch with one of his female Mals while he talked to my wife and answer any questions she had. He showed us around a little bit and met a few puppies. My son at that time was 4 yrs old and had so much fun with them. In June of 2016 we brought Banshee of Lonestar Malinois home. We got our girl Samantha (Piper) almost a year ago and she is exactly what we wanted and more! She’s fierce, fearless, brave, intuitive, loyal, loving to our kids, and a joy to all of us. As you can see, we immediately experienced some interesting things with our model, dubbed Major "Good Boy" Maligator.As detailed in the first two photos, his paws were far too large for the rest of him and it would require months of careful feeding and training to balance the rest of his body mass accordingly.(That's before we found out about the appetite!)The next two photos denote the amount of food and treats required to balance said oversized paws into a manageable footprint-- given you are willing to accept the consequences of that growth. (Major was switched to raw @ 12wks, weighed 25lbs and nearly doubled in size over the next 30 days)Be warned-- we ordered the PUPPY Malinois and as you can see, we received a model several times larger than we expected. (He won't fit in anything labeled his size for long, so keep that in mind before you purchase any beds or harnesses)This model also requires HEAVY interaction and skillful guidance, otherwise it begins to act out in different ways, such as following you around literally everywhere and always stealing your chairs just before you sit in them and then holding them ransom until you provide adequate attention and/or distraction to regain access. We also found that adding water regularly and allowing to air dry produced the best results, as seen in the remaining photos.Major is 4 months old today, weighs 35lbs and is currently preparing to ship out for his protection training from none other than LoneStar Elite K9 Kennels. :)Thanks LoneStar Malinois, you live up to the hype!

My wife and I had never previously owned a Belgian Malinois, but we were aware of the challenges of having one join our pet family (3 cats). We spoke with Meagan several times, and she answered all of our questions.So, we added our name to the waiting list for a female. "Petty" was born on December 11, 2022, and we picked her up at LoneStar on February 4, 2023. Both Meagan and Justin were very generous with their time in explaining what to expect from our puppy. They also provided us with a huge starter kit of food, toys, leashes, etc.We've reached out to Meagan several times after having Petty home with some 911 questions and advice. Every call/text was promptly returned.Petty is now almost 7 months old, and a joy to have in our family. She's growing like a weed and is so smart. We highly recommend LoneStar Malinois!(New comments... Team Petty has been in training for her whole life.... and she loves it. She's so smart and eager to please. She just started doing play days at a local kennel, and comes home ready for water, food, and a good nap! Best dog ever...

Wow! I am typically not easily impressed, but Meagan blew us away. From our first contact she was responsive, well organized, and helpful. She provided her personal mobile number and communicated regularly to update us on the litter’s progress, usually including photos as well. On a personal level we found her to be super friendly. On the day we arrived to pick up our puppy, she had a swag bag for us full of toys, treats, cleaning and grooming products, clothes, and much more. I wish I had a picture of the size of this bag. It was massive and stuffed full of goodies. Honestly, it looked like something that might have accidentally fallen out of Santa’s sleigh. She also walked us through the AKC paperwork, micro-chip registration procedure, and vaccination records. Even our veterinarian was blown away with how organized everything was at our first appointment. We will be returning in a couple months for some boarding and training and expect it will be more of the same. Cannot recommend strongly enough, A++!!!

We got our puppy Kilo from here. Easy to deal with and very informative about the Pros and Cons of the breed. Making sure it’s going to be the right fit for your family. Kilo is the sweetest dog. Very good with our 3 year old child. Careful and not too rough with him. We are so thankful we found LoneStar and were able to get Kilo from them.

Growing up with German Shepherds all my life and one day I dog sit this beautiful creature Balgian Malinois and made a decision that I want one. Waited and learned about this breed for couple of year and in 2020 started looking all over the country for a trust worthy Breeder. Spoke with multiple breeders however for some reason I did not get the feeling of “this is it this is the breeder I want to go with” until I spoke with Lone star elite K9 Malinois. They are amazing in every way. They are more of a family operated BM breeder then just your normal breeder. Sent them all the important required information Soon I was selected and was on a waiting list. In 2021 I went to pick up my puppy in person and after meeting LoneStar Mal family in person it felt even more amazing to find out I made the right choice. Below are some pictures of Klaus who just turned 15 months and anywhere I go I get compliments on how strong minded , gorgeous dog. LoneStar elite has a amazing Mal blood line. Even after 1 year I received calls and text from them to check on Klaus not to mention my pup has a famous dog aunt 🤗who’s been in famous movies because LoneStar elite Mal is not only breeder but trainers as well. From day one of our experience Meagan guided us through the whole process of welcoming our new dog. It was our first experience with a malinois and Meagan gave us all the information we needed to know to maintain such a breed. I was so surprised how well she new each pup when it came to pick up day. She told us what a sweetheart our pup was. I quickly learned how right she was and even through the months and as big as our dog got, Kayce is still the sweetest and loving dog. I wouldn’t expect a lot of mals to like hugs but yes Kayce loves hugs! The whole process was well and organized. We also utilized the 8week board and training. Each encounter with the family was always a successful one. They always provided our Kayce with bags and loads of goodies and supplies needed to maintain a well dog. Anytime I was in need of something in particular i always made sure to check our “stash” to see if we had it first before I went and bought anything and as expected we always had anything in need. I messaged the breed via FB recently (initially my husband did the communicating so I didn’t have contact numbers) but Meagan picked up the phone to call me rather than message. I truly appreciated that and her assurance for any concerns I had along the way. Overall… I great experience.

Meagan and her husband were absolutely amazing through the whole process, even after the purchase they have been a valued resource.They gave me a huge doggy bag of goodies for me to get started with him.He traveled across America twice and did absolutely amazing both times. Once by plane from TX to WA and once by car.Hero is very loyal. Extremely intelligent and eager to please.Thinking about this breed, you need to know this, and be prepared, for a lot of training and a lot of work. A lot of work. But for the right owner, who has adequate understanding of the training and attention and time that this dog needs- There is no better breed, and no better breeder around.

We got a puppy from a LoneStar litter of Gunner x Link. She (Zulu) is a beautiful puppy. We communicated what we wanted regarding temperament preferences from our puppy to LoneStar. Zulu is our first Mal. She’s very affectionate, intelligent, energetic, and a stereotypical Malinois 🤪. I think everyone has their own idea of what to expect. We did our research and still could not anticipate what it would be like.If you decide to get one of these dogs, know you must ensure the dog gets the proper training unless you know how to train herding dogs yourself. Once the dog has basic obedience training from trainers familiar with the breed, you and your family will have a fantastic companion. If you do your research and know what to expect, you will love this breed. Zulu has quickly become an essential part of our family, and I will always have a Mal.I highly recommend LoneStar Malinois. My family is very happy with our Malinois from LoneStar Malinois. Our puppy Liam just turned 2 a couple months ago and he’s very goofy, energetic, and family friendly.
