Very clean and tidy, this HEB is the one I frequented the most, but I definitely prefer to go a little further away, where the employees know how to give good customer service and are not rude. Its the second time, the employee didn't help me pack and she rushed me by telling the person behind me to come forward when I still had my bags on the counter, and then she apologized to the person behind me because she had to wait for me to finish putting my bags in the shopping cart. Its the only heb I have been where they dont want to help you with the bags and they also rush you with a bad attitude.

This HEB is a small yet they have a lot of great products. The staff is very knowledgeable and the managers are helpful not only did I come to work here but I also shop after working. Some of the items are sold out or out of stock but have similar items available to purchase. I would of gave them 5 🌟 but some of the employees are rude and the restrooms need more attention. Other than that great HEB to shop at.

The store here in Gatesville is always clean and orderly. The produce department always looks fresh and fully stocked. The meat market it's always very orderly with a nice assortment of meat cuts. The bakery is always full of fresh great smelling Goods. The rest of the store is always stocked well.

I like HEB, but for some reason, it is not what it used to be, it seems. I would normally give it at least a 4 to 5 star, but this store, in past years, seems it can't keep up with demand.

Best Grocery Store in Texas !!! When my son comes to visit, he always wants to shop the HEB brand chips. Great flavors and fresh fruits and veggies.

The best grocery store in town!Prices are better than other leading store in town. Thank you HEB for being consumer friendly!Has a small bakery/deli. The meat is fresh with butcher on premises. If you need a special cut they will definitely make you happy! Just knock!In these hard times, HEB definitely cares. If they are out of something they restock as soon as they receive deliveries. Just wish they would build a Super HEB so we could enjoy more items ;)

Apparently the Gatesville location doesn't get the same quality food as the other HEB locations. This location has basic food but no variety. For example, if you want Ritz crackers you can get Ritz crackers but if you want the seasoned Ritz crackers you have to go somewhere else.

This is possibly the saddest HEB I've ever seen. Truly needs an update. There are no self check out lanes here nor any fresh foods like the seafood counter, sushi or flowers. Truly sad that there has been no updating done to this HEB in the 10 yrs I was away from this area. The whole town needs a do over starting with bringing this HEB up to par with all the rest of them in Texas.

HEB is one of the main stores in town, they have a good selection with a lot of in house baking and cooking people can pick up. The lines tend to get backed up after 3 when school let's out. But has a pharmacy for people the get there medicine when theu go shopping. Customer service isn't always great but people have the option of ordering and picking up there groceries.

Love this store!! I have always loved HEB and the people who work there. The associates are always so friendly and knowledgeable about their individual departments as well as the rest of the store. I know that when I come here, if I'm asking about any department, any associate can answer on where I can find a particular product. I also love the fact that no matter where I am in Texas, I can get most of the products I am used to purchasing in my hometown HEB, which is further south in Texas...lol.

The food quality is great! Best produce and meat! Choices you won't find elsewhere. Friendly staff! I love the coupon deals. They bag your items the way you want them and will also carry your groceries out and help you put them in your vehicle if you'd like.

Always very helpful and cheerful staff.The prices are much lower in comparison to the local walmart. The meat is fresh cut in the back of the store and fairly priced.Could be a little more on top of the cleaning in the produce section but all in all a clean environment to shop.

The parking is always crowded and the parking for handicap is so far from the entrance I almost always try to avoid the store if I can. The people are great and the store is clean. Just after a busy day you want to be able to find a parking spot that is not a block away.

Overall, it's a decent place to shop, but it becomes annoying, when you're trying to save a little bit of money, during inflation and high fuel prices, and you grab a coupon, that they have on display, and they don't carry the actual product that the coupon is for. There's no way, I'm the only one who commented on it, yet, the bait and switch coupons are still hanging in the store.

Nice little grocery store. Plenty of produce and meat selection. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming to our children. Women's restroom was clean and well stocked as well.Just passing through, but found everything we needed quickly.

Great for getting great sales and quality produce and great meats. Great for just running in quickly. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Selection is not huge just the top flavors and popular items. They can order specific things that don't have in store.

Customer service is excellent. Recently I was charged twice for some grapes on a previous visit. I mentioned it to Mario as I was checking out and he gave instructions to get me a refund immediately. Staff members in store have always been very helpful in finding an item. HEB is definitely my grocery store of choice!

I love this place. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and last longer than the ones that I pick up at Walmart, especially spinach. They're purple cap whole milk is amazingly delicious you have to try it if your a milk fan. They have great deals and coupons all over the store, and the staff is always so friendly and ready to help at any turn. Just a great Hometown grocer, they've earned my business and I will continue to shop here indefinitely.
