Such amazing and wonderful people who work here. They truly love all the animals they take in and look hard for good homes for them. I had lost 2 of my dachshunds within 6 months of eachother, one to old age (15) and the other (14) to cancer. My 3rd one whos 8 had only known her brothers since we brought her home at 3 months old. She was sad a depressed and needed company. We also missed the extra little bodies barking and creating chaos. After researching dachshund rescues, we reached out to Promise Land Dachshund and inquired about a bonded pair. We felt strongly about adopting through a rescue since all of our dachshunds we had were rescued. Once the Promised Land team vetted, interviewed us, and all the boxes were checked, we were able to take home our 2 new fur babies. They are the perfect addition to our family. They are the same age as my other baby and sweet as can be. I feel rescue animals can always tell when they are being rescued. Don't be afraid to adopt older dogs. They have lots to love still and a heart of gold. I'll be extremely greatful to these team angels for allowing us to adopt our 2 new fur babies. Thank you from Roxy, Sparkle and Rocky.

While I didn't find what I wanted, I was very impressed with what they do. They mostly take in senior dogs with disabilities and try to rehome them.
