Texas has the most beautiful Walmarts ever. Besides being the cleanest they also have the most friendly people working there. This one is Galveston is my second one in Texas I’ve visited and both have been beautiful with floors you can eat from. Just look at their shine. Great job, Walmart 👍🏼

Very clean walmart. The employees that I had an encounter with were all very nice and extremely helpful. The produce section in this walmart looks amazing.

Beach access is great. And one main reasons we keep coming back every year. Warm water. Kids love it. So do the adults. This year 9 of us came rented villas. We just like it here.Dog-friendliness: Seen plenty of dogs. No issues I seenPicnic area: Lots.

It was a really good Walmart, but there wasn't anything special about it. I'd give it more stars, but it was way too basic. Everything was easy access, and the employees were really nice, along with the people. No Karen's, so 5 stars.

On April 11th 2024, I got a major case of a stomach virus. I went sometime around 9am-12pm and went straight to the Deli and had chicken wings, wedges and jalapeño cream cheese. (It's the only thing I ate that day. Someone please look into it.) My stomach is ruined at the moment, and it's not funny. I couldn't dare to eat anything else. Plenty of water. It hurts

I’d have given them negative stars if I could. Took my car there to get tires. Bought 4 brand new Goodyear tires. I had a brand new spare already on the car. Had to return 5 times to get the tires installed. Paid for the installation and the road hazzard warranty. During the install, my brand new spare tire was accidents thrown away and they never replaced it. Plus I bought 4 matching tires, but 3 matching tires were put on my car and the fourth one is a different tire. When I tried to go back in to talk to someone, the doors were locked and no one would come to the door to help me but I could see the entire staff right in the service area looking at me. So I left with no spare and 4 mismatched tires. Now I’ve had the tires only one year. These tires had a 65,000 miles tread life warranty on them. These tires only have 24,000 miles on them, but the steel belt is already showing and there is absolutely no thread on any of the 4 tires. My car won’t even pass inspection until I buy 4 new tires again already. I called and tried to get them to look at the car but was told that they would not honor the warranty and that the extra warranty I purchased would not cover the tires either. So now I’ve got to spend another $600-$700 to replace these tires and another $100 to get a spare less than one year from getting this set of Goodyear tires. Plus, while they had my car they did some sort of inspection on it and somehow broke my power steering pump so now it has been leaking for the last year and it never leaked before that day. Absolute worst service and worse experience I’ve had with a car place. I definitely recommend taking your car elsewhere.

Visited Walmart Supercenter in Galveston prior to boarding our Carnival cruise for a few last minute necessities. The store was clean and as always priced right. Outside of the typical disorganized areas of Walmart it was a good experience. The most impressive was the fresh produce at competitive prices!

I use Walmart grocery delivery and I'm so pleased with this speedy service! The only problem is that the people pulling don't seem to know where the 20 oz cokes are. This happens about half of the time. Otherwise, perfection.

Employees are super friendly. Prefer cashier to self-check. The store is well-stocked. Mainly tourists shopping this time of year. Be prepared for a busy water and wine aisle

I’m starting to see that it will be the same negative experience every time I do a pick up order from this Walmart. Yet again, I placed a pick up order and though it was ready on time, I did not receive my order until after my pickup window which means I waited for over an hour. While I was waiting, I received a notification stating that my order had already been picked up, which was not true. I tried calling the store multiple times but no one answered the phone so finally, I got out of my car to speak with the person who was working in the pickup area. He asked my name and said the system showed that I was parked in a different parking spot than I actually was which I guess is the reason why there was such a delay. He apologized for the inconvenience but that doesn’t do much good especially since knowing that I have this experience every time. If I place a pick up order, I should not have to get out of my car for any reason. That defeats the purpose of placing the order. This Walmart needs to have more people working in this department or something needs to be done because there’s always an issue whenever I am picking up my order. I hate Walmart, especially this one. And I will likely not be back, for pickup or in store shopping.

Worst Walmart Experience Ever!Let me tell you about the awful experience I had at the Walmart in Galveston two nights ago. I literally went in to but one pack of cigars.I was directed to a self-checkout lane to get my ID checked for the cigars. The employee working there checked my ID, when the machine seemed to freeze. He then proceeded to take my $50 bill to pay and shoved it into the machine. Guess what? My money got stuck, and the transaction wouldn't go through.I was already annoyed, but things got even worse. It took forever for anyone to help. An employee came over, then the manager, and instead of apologizing for the malfunction or offering any kind of assistance, they basically accused me of lying about putting the money in the machine!! Even though their employee put the money in, and there were other employees there who saw the whole thing!The manager, Shae, wasn't any help either. He spent ages checking camera footage, like I was some kind of criminal. By the time I finally got my money back and those cigars, it had been almost an hour!Not once did anyone apologize for the mess up or the wait. And to top it all off, Shae had the nerve to check my ID again! Unbelievable!This whole experience was a total disaster. I wasted a ton of time and got treated like I was some liar. Walmart in Galveston needs to seriously get it together. Especially when it comes to training their employees and dealing with customer service issues. Maybe they should teach their managers some manners too.

So I want to start by saying that’s MS. DIAMOND WHITE was super helpful in the pick up department. I had a big issue go wrong with my order and she was there to clean it up! Thanks again for all your customer support she truly is a gem Wal-Mart! Make sure to take care of this worker she is a huge part of your location! MS. CAMERON is a very happy customer!

The store is always busy with long lines, but that’s because it’s so Close to the beach and many people coming into town. So I understand that. The store is a bit unorganized and low on products. The employees are always friendly and help. It’s a smaller Walmart than usual, but I guest it’s useful. I never have a problem finding a parking spot which is great. Those are the reasons why I rated this store with four stars.

Walmart is one of my favorite stores. I get almost everything there, from OTC items to the dog food ! Shoes, frames, spray paint, plumbing supplies it's all there ! I love one stop shopping!

This was not my normal store. There was so much beach gear, but it just seemed unorganized. Things are not together. It was hard finding things, not a huge selection of beach clothing items. It looks like it, but no. I noticed a lot of things overpriced. I mean marked way up just because it's Galveston. $26 for a 4 pack of flushable wipes! I'm honestly just tired of the American scam , I mean, dream

This Walmart was reletively clean with most of the products on the shelves so the low rating comes from their refusal to price match and that in itself wouldn't have been enough for 1 star. It the way we were treated is the reason. They were horribly rude and we had to stand at the register for well over 10 minuteswhen they finally came over to tell us no they didn't do price matching anymore because they wanted to force people to shop online.

Just go to HEB, went in here to get a few things minding our own business when we overhear the staff talking about how much they hate spring breakers... so I said I guess we'll leave and won't go back. Incredibly unprofessional and ignorant. Spring Break is important to Galvestons economy. Spend your money where it's appreciated. I went here bc of the location, but I won't go back again.

The women's restroom was in need of cleaning and maybe some outdoor eliminator?It was hard to find prices on some items, and Walmart selections have dwindled.The biggest complaint I have is, that I traveled from out of state to celebrate my great grandsons birthday this week. We went to the bakery and rang the service bell thrice, and no one answered. My son-in-law went to find a store employee for assistance, and was told someone would be there, he was going to ask for bakery assurance. Meanwhile, he picked a few more items that we needed. My daughter called the store number before my son-in-law went to find help. She went to the customer service and was told someone would be there, after waiting some more, we decided to check out our <$200 order. My daughter saw someone in the bakery and was told "the bakery employees leave at 1pm and you should have just made an order online." There was no signage advising of this, and it is not on the store website. The bakery employ never once asked what we were looking for, or offer to take an order.Kroger will be providing our birthday cake and supplies. They were more than happy to accommodate our needs.Galveston store needs some major help.

It's Wal-mart! Employees are nice, but again, it is Wal-mart!I go when I can't get what I want anywhere else. Maybe ours is so bad because it's a beach town, but there is never a good time for Wal-mart. They keep threatening to close stores because of theft. Well hire some good cashiers and PAY THEM! I am not a cashier!

Our mangos rang up for $2 each this morning at the self check out. They were marked $1.50 on the shelf. After asking to have the price corrected, the self checkout supervisor said “no”. I put them back on the shelf. Always watch your prices, bait and switch is alive and well at Walmart.

When into the store and was told they were operating on cards only no cash there were no signs up.when I asked for the store manager one of the front end managers asked what I need she was told the customer would like the store manager she then still came to me and asked what I needed as if she was not just told I want the store manager not the front end manager then seemed aggravated that I didn’t wanna talk to her about what I wanted.How does a store of this magnitude operate like that do better.

Did an online order last night for pick up 3-4 today. Was notified it was ready around 3:30. Got there at 3:50. It is now 4:45 and still no order delivered to my car. Horrible just HORRIBLE.
