Ever since they changed store managers this Walgreens has turned around. It used to be so dirty and disorganized. Even the workers themselves seem better. I don't know if it's the same crew, but they are much more polite, attentive, and courteous. I met their manager once I believe her name is Caitlin or Kathleen. But she was literally the nicest and most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was very helpful and professional. I wish they would send her over to DFW area. They need better Walgreens managers out this way. 10/10 I would recommend her and this Walgreens over any in Texas.

This place is horrendous. It took almost 3 weeks to get a prescription filled because of their lies and ineptness. I called for 2 refills on a Thursday afternoon. On Saturday I went to pick them up. I was told one needed authorization from my Dr, the other was being filled elsewhere and shipped to them, but would be there on Monday. After checking with my Drs office, I went on Monday to pick up again. This time I was given one, but again told they did not have authorization for the other. When I said I had confirmed with the Dr, they changed the story to say they didnt have the med in stock because of shortage. I called every 3 days for two weeks to check on availability of the med. Finally on Friday I was told they had it in stock but now needed authorization again because "if it sits in the system for more than a few days it is booted out." I again contacted my Dr, get authorization sent in, but heard nothing from Walgreens. Today I called to find out if it had been filled and was told yes. I arrive and wait at the window for 20 minutes while people inside are helped, some of which I watched walk to the counter while I went unserved.I am lucky I could go 18 days without this medicine. If you need something badly though, I suggest you find another pharmacy.

My recent experience at Walgreens was disappointing due to unprofessional behavior exhibited by some employees. The lack of professionalism impacted the quality of service I received. I was told my prescription was ready so I drove up to the drive thru to pick it up. When I got to the window, they informed me they had not ran it through my insurance yet (what?) and to circle around one time and I should be good to go. I proceeded to circle around, got back up to the window and they had pulled the sign down and locked up to go to lunch. It literally took me 1 min max to drive around. 100% unprofessional! They should have told me they were going to lunch. Or held off for 5 seconds after they told me to drive around. I mean I can’t make this stuff up! I hope Walgreens addresses this issue to maintain a positive and customer-friendly environment. Hire some new help! These pharmacy workers are a joke!

Hey friends! Have to say, this Walgreens was such a great experience, had to leave a review! Just the best beauty section, the most helpful staff, and very inclusive and kind folk!Sure it’s a beach town Walgreens, it’s full of what every other one has, but with some extra Galveston charm.So what a scraggly looking dude went to use the bathroom after my lady and she was a little spooked. It happens in these towns, and didn’t hurt the shopping experience.Oh, and they have my daughter’s favorite thing, alphabet beads for making necklaces and bracelets!

I had to stop for some emergency essentials here. I ran in and quickly found what I was looking for because most stores look alike despite this store not being my local store. I went to pay for it when I realized I forgot my debit card in my bag in the trunk on my vehicle from being on Stewart Beach the day before, I put my essentials back on the shelf and I noticed a pretty long line as I ran to grab my card but when I came back in and went back to where I grabbed what I needed again and once again came back to the line there was a second register open and running and I quickly made it out of there. All in all I really walked in and out despite the initial line, the workers quickly worked together when they needed to and got their customers rolling, they definitely weren't holding any hostages here, which was fantastic! I would recommend shopping here because you could tell all the employee who were working when I visited truly enjoyed working there and it showed!

I stopped in to mail off a package through Fedex and did not have a label. This young man Daniel Hooper with the nicest attitude said let me figure out how I can help you get this taken care of. He went beyond the call of duty by walking me through how I could get a label and get the item mailed off. I had the ultimate customer experience because of him. Walgreens great job of staffing people like Daniel!

Terrible. I refuse to use this location for it's pharmacy ever again. My Mother was using this location until very recently and both of us had nothing but problems. They notify you that prescriptions are ready when they are not. Sometimes leading to additional wait times of up to an hour. The staff is inconsistent and poorly trained. I have experienced them be 'unable' to locate completed prescription orders without a pharmacists help. I have also seen all three checkout lanes locked up and needing a "pharmacist override" to process transactions only to wait an hour and twenty minutes to be able to respond to customers. Additionally the register attendant took time to excuse herself to talk with the beauty and makeup employee of the store at the consultation window about a hair care product that doesn't color your hair but "...makes it really shiny and look really healthy..." All while other customers stood with me waiting for help. I transferred everything to a private pharmacy as did my mother. I was talking with owner - yes the actual owner of the private pharmacy and was told that Walgreens has paid an exorbitant amount of money to buy up rights to various insurance carriers to corner the market - Tricare (military insurance) being one of them. This action leaves consumers with less options and no alternative to poor service. Shame on Walgreens. That money should have gone to train and hire additional employees and improve facilities to better serve customers before it was allocated to price out competitors. I cannot put into words how shameful and disgusting this action was. Money hungry, aggressive and profit motivated. Never again. Pick up the trash in your parking lot as well - this location is a dump. Dirty and disgusting inside and out. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Pharmacy is always slow. Today I sat in line (2 cars ahead of me) for 25 minutes to drop off a prescription at 11:30. I was told it would be ready at 2:00. I arrive at 2:30 and again sit behind one car for 20 minutes only to be told my prescription wasn’t ready (50 minutes after I was told it would be ready) and could I come back in 30 minutes. Although this is the most convenient pharmacy to my house, I will not be going there anymore.

HORRIBLE. We have a standing prescription for our daughters epilepsy medication and this store Constantly calls us to come pick up medication that they refuse to keep in stock. Just got there to pick up the meds I was told to come get over the phone, get there and told there’s nothing in stock but the computer says it’s ready for me. The pharmacists here have zero clue what they are doing. Big fail for Galveston island not having any other choices for a pharmacy.

Girl with eye glasses at photo department has very rude behavior. Probably she doesn’t know what customer service is. She was impolite during my visit and showing bad attitude at me.This is my first time having passport size photos here. What’s the point of taking picture when you don’t even know how to hold camera. On top that She was reckless. She Simply enter the photo into computer and print it out. And she didn’t even ask me whether I liked it or not before going to print it out and don’t even crop or asked me for any makeover .Walgreens at seawall blvd has to train their employees how to behave with their customers atleast. They can learn work later.

I left Walgreens today with ANGER AND TEARS!!! The pharmacy is unorganized, uneducated, the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing, they lie every opportunity they get, and I demand that this Pharmacy be SHUT DOWN for good. I have been at this Walgreens every day this week in person or on the phone. One prescription is all they need to fix. Found out they have no idea how to FAX or CALL Coastal Health and Wellness and get my prescription ready!!! Same with UTMB ER. They said the doctor didn't know how to write a prescription........they love to blame everyone else but the bottom line is they don't know how to do their jobs. I want this PHARMACY shut down!!!!! It's no good.How you going to tell me I have no prescription but your automated computer says that prescription has been filled and ready for pick up????I walked out of there with no prescription. On Monday, I will demand that they find better people to work the pharmacy or shut it down.I am taking my business some where else!!!!

This Walgreens really needs to get their act together. The staff in the pharmacy is rude especially the pharmacist herself. I keep going back thinking the bad experiences were a fluke and will get better but it never does it just gets worse . I’m done with Walgreens for good.

Thoroughly convinced this Walgreens pharmacy WANTS to give you a hard time! Besides waiting in the drive-thru for over an hour. The pharmacy gave me every reason in the book as to why they could not fill a prescription. With a physical copy in hand. They had no choice but to fill it. Then lady on the phone was extremely rude and impatient with me for asking a question, as I could not understand why I couldn’t get my script. Finally I was told that there will be a 2+ hr wait for that. Absolutely ridiculous! Pharmacy nightmare! They have no urgency to do their job and if you need assistance with your insurance, be ready to handle that yourself, they will try to get out of it.Save your time and find a different Walgreens pharmacy.

Horrible experience. Pharmacist was rude and even though I was waiting took an hour and a half to fill my Rx (I was the only one waiting). The poor pharmacy tech trainee was the only polite one there. The loud, obnoxious pharmacy tech was flitting around back there and talking down to the trainee like she was stupid. She obviously thought a lot of herself. I hope that poor trainee lady gets out of there. Horrible place.

I'm standing at the self-serve photo booth trying to order prints from a micro sd card. A group of employees gathers around me and start talking about non-work related things. Ok fine, that doesn't concern me. But after about 2-3 minutes of trying to get the kiosk to accept my sd card I finally speak up and ask if it even works. I get the folllowing nonchalant reply from one of the employees, "oh yeah, it doesn't work maybe try the location at 61st." Ok so why didn't you tell me to begin with that it wasn't working or at least have an out of order sign over it?

As others have said, the pharmacy makes no effort to prioritize based on need or customer waiting. As I overheard a pharmacy employee say to another, “I’m glad you started from the top (of the list) because I started from the bottom.”The pharmacy has been aware that my daughter is in pain from a kidney stone and that her hospital meds have worn off. They know we’re waiting to leave town for another daughter’s military ceremony.They guaranteed they would not prioritize putting pills in my daughters bottle but that that the system would text us when they got to us. Two hours later, I am waiting at the pharmacy and just learned that some meds will not arrive until tomorrow. This would have showed on their screen immediately if they had bothered to check.Edit: got to the head of the line and they handed me all three meds as a text arrived on my phone saying they were ready. Added a star for this and the nice lady who took payment.

Guys pls don't choose this pharmacy!!!!!I have been facing these rude behavior from pharmacy staff for last couple of years..still choosing as my fist Rx option because its near my home..My wife and 2year kid came over to pick there Rx from UTMB after telephonic pick up confirmation from pharmacy..After long queue she was on drive in n reached the counter at that time they said they don't have idea about Rx..Then she came inside and seek for help they said to wait..She waited over there more than an hour.suddenly they said they gonna close for lunch break and behaved rudely and denied the service..Then she bought an OTC medicine for stomach upset for my girl and sadly left the store..Next time we gonna tell this bitter experience to doctor and request them to change Rx to CVS..Management please give some training to your staff and let them know because of the customers they all earning salary..Thank you

It took 18 hours to get an antibiotic filled for a sick child. When I asked to speak to the pharmacy manager, I was told there was not one. When I asked to speak with the general store manager, there was indeed a pharmacy manager instantly available. However, she lied about when the script was received and made up an insurance issue which was also shown to be false. When presented with proof that neither of the statements were true, she hung up on me. I had to enlist the help of the general store manager to get the antibiotic filled.

See my review of the Walgreens on 61st.Passport photo camera was stolen two weeks ago and I was sent out of the way to this Walgreens and assured that I could get my photo taken here.The 1 star is not because the other store sent me here, but because A. They should communicate better with their sister store and B. Because they’ve had plenty of time to acquire a replacement camera.

This Walgreens has achieved greatness at being absolutely the worse experience every time. Everything you could wish for in an exchange of money for services then receive the exact opposite every time. I mean the pinnacle of large corporate attitude all the way down to the lowest level. Good job Walgreens never coming back again. I did give this place a fair amount of time to account for the employee having a bad day however the employee handbook page one must say,” welcome to Walgreens go f#%k yourself.”

I have no idea how this Walgreens has less than 5 stars. Everyone there is kind and helpful! They made a point to help me when I was having trouble locating my insurance card. They even called to check up on me to see how my new medication was making me feel. I only wish I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, they deserve it.

This is an insident that occured on March 18 2021. It was around 8 pm. A young lady was accused by store employees of shop lifting. What bothers me is how immprofessional they were. Its bad enough they are rude. With the exception of the very few that are great. Any how when they accused her she was inside the store. The proto call is u question outside the store .That is loss prevention job. Not two cashiers . The customer they accused of stealing was my daughter who is pregnant.

Incompetent pharmacy, I’ve had to call our Dr numerous times to confirm the script was sent because every time I showed up they said they didn’t have it. I stayed on sight to witness the phone call from my dr, just to hear them say oh sorry it’s right here. Now I have to come back again in two hours, it’s been 4 days without my medication because of this pharmacy and being busy with work . Wouldn't trust them to give a shot let alone my meds, CVS down the street is my recommendation.
