Murdochs has a beautiful location along the beach. And for your enjoyment there is a very large patio with many white rocking chairs. While you are rocking away on the patio you can enjoy one of their frozen drinks or other snacks which are available right inside the doors to the patio. Murdochs has a very ni e collection of coral and seashells at a reasonable price. Murdochs also has just about anything your young child might need to play with on the beach. Murdochs also has a wide variety of clothing for the whole family. Murdochs also has two penny press machines for you collectors of stretch pennies.

Great gift shop, great drinks and the cashier was so kind to my grandson, she let him pick out some candy and said it was "on her" because he was "such a good boy" by her words. Would definitely go back if I was ever in the area again.

MUST visit if you’re in Galveston. Went here twice during our 2-day trip! This place is so cute and packed with a huge variety of coastal souvenirs and apparel. Price is very reasonable. 2 buildings connected by a bridge/balcony area (?) and they have chairs so you can order a beer (at the bar inside) and enjoy the view. We got some hermit crabs from here along with extra shells and they’re still alive and well after a month. Will definitely come back!

This is an amazing place. It is just huge with all types of clothing, beach shoes, souvenirs, anything to do with the ocean, things to decorate your home, etc. There's also a nice porch that looks out over the ocean between the two parts of their store.

They have a nice balcony overlooking the gulf. You can order a drink and set and watch the waves roll in. When you’re done they have all the souvenirs you could want, including hermit crabs.

Lots of variety of souvenirs. Air conditioning! Fast friendly service. Very ADA friendly with long ramp entrance. There’s a nice area overlooking the water and Pleasure Pier nearby with rocking chairs where you can sit and have drinks that can be purchased inside. There’s also tower-viewer binoculars.

Murdochs has been around for decades for good reason. They're every tourists dream souvenir shop. Established right on the seawall, they are right across the road from many popular hotels. Inside you'll find tons o sea shells, plushies, boogie boards, hats, and shirts. Kids and parents alike will love browsing and probably leave with more than expected. In the rear you'll find a bar selling frozen drinks and beer bottles. You can enjoy them on the outdoor patio with lounge chairs facing the ocean. It's a great spot to relax, and is free to enter even without having purchased anything. Keep in mind that whatever you do purchase will be heavily price inflated. It's a tourist trap shop, but a fun one.

After browsing for a little bit, they kicked me and my wife out saying we couldn't have our luggage in the store. We didn't want to leave it outside and the lady at the store didn't want to compromise. She was very rude and definitely missed out on us spending our money there for souvenirs. Please show your support and do not shop at this ignorant rude family owned store. They clearly don't care about customers.

I thought this place was okay. One of the ladies kept getting side tracked while checking us out and it was all just gossip. The items here are nice and I kept over hearing some tourist talk about their disappointment about the items not being made in Galveston, but made in China. There are neat items in here but are quite pricey.

My sister and I bought this tumbler at Murdochs. . It was $35.00 for each. We asked the sales girl(dirty blonde, short, bigger girl) if it would sweat. She assured us that it didn’t. Said she had one. She lied. They sweat as soon as you put ice in them. I paid the price just to have a tumbler that doesn’t sweat! I have gone thru several. If you do like this tumbler we have now found them on Temu for under 10.00. And they come in different colors.

There were so many fascinating things to look at and I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Galveston. It's a wonderful place to buy souvenirs and the prices are very reasonable. I especially enjoyed looking at the hermit crabs. There's a deck with chairs overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It's so serene.

We love visiting Murdochs! You can sit on the patio and just relax in the Adirondack chairs and enjoy the view. I love all of the cool stuff they sell! We always have to look at the hermit crabs. The prices are as good or better than the other places there but the quality is definitely better! Such a nice place! We have lots of great things from there! They sell snacks and frozen drinks too. The only complaint I have is the fact you have to pay for parking but that is all over Galveston.

I was told by someone on Facebook that I needed to visit this place before we headed home from Galveston. Thus place did not disappoint! Every kind of souvenir t-shirt that you can imagine. They also carry shells and decor, kid things, and hermit crabs. I bought a shell collection decor-type box, a box of taffy, a coke zero, and a sand dollar ornament and we spent right at $50.

Always love stopping by murdoch's! They have a great selection of souvenirs and the best selection of shells and coral on the island! Grams was a happy camper! The parking isn't great, as it's paid and asking the seawall, but the walk is worth it. Something for everyone and a great place to grab a drink, sit down, and watch the waves in the shade 😎

We go there every visit to Galveston. It's just a souvenir shop, but a variation of it has been there as far back as I can remember and it's just tradition that we visit.It's built over the water. 2 sides to store and a cool seating/view outdoors between the 2 shops. Big variety of shirts and souvenir and squished pennies.There security people were indiscrete.. and nearly offensive to us.

My favorite gift shop to visit at Galveston!! They have an incredibly large collection of gift and decor items, snacks/drinks, and the best part: an outdoor porch with chairs to view the beach below!! The beach is pubic access below and you can swim/take a rest at the shop above.

Nice place to get gifts, trinkets, and treasures on Galveston Island. It also has a great view of the Gulf.Originally built in the 1800s, the storm of 1900 took it out and it was rebuilt in 1901. It also had to be reconstructed after three more storms damaged it. WOW...this place stands strong! You need to see it!
