We were over in Galveston a few weeks ago and it didn’t take us long to make our way over to kites Unlimited while sitting on the beach we could see their kites flying a half mile away or so and our family loves kites and wind, turbines and etc. when we got there we were greeted by a very awesome gentleman that runs a place and and a nice young lady. was very knowledgeable. He helped me pick out the kites and wind turbines that I wanted to take back to West Texas. I am home and they’re already into the wind. I love them.

Visited the store recently and picked up a new stunt kite (Symphony 1.3), for my son to use while in Galveston. In talking to the person checking me out, I realized this is the same kite store (different location) that I bought a kite from ~35 years ago. Back then I was a little older than my son now, and picked up a much larger kite that I had been saving up to get for some time. It was a family trip to Galveston and the kite was the highlight of that trip for me. That memory is even more special because the owner of the store was closing the shop for the day and offered to come with me/my family over to the beach to help with my first flight of this more advanced kite. I have taken care of that kite over the years and brought it on this trip for my son to fly as well. Such great memories, and grateful to see the store still open and doing well.

Very helpful and very affordable. These arn’t dollar store kites but there’s many price levels. The owner (I believe) walked me through what I was looking for? He made multiple recommendations and different price levels. He didn’t start at the most expensive kite and I appreciate that!Up sold me on some kite string, that I don’t regret buying at all. Since it was a bigger spool and stronger line I felt better about not loosing my kite.Very nice place and would recommend to anyone in town looking for a kite!!!!A+++++

Absolutely awesome - kites and more. Everything from kites to flags, garden flags, kite supplies and so much more. Friendly and helpful staff to help you select the right kite based on skill and ability. Everything from novice kids kites to professional grade.They have an amazing selection to chose from and will give you advice on what is best for your life of flying kites.The shop also has garden flags, boat flags, pennants, banners and more.We ended up with two intermediate kits, spools and a few neat trinkets.They offer a cash discount so bring cash and save 3.75% over the credit card price. Return and refund is clearly posted.They are open 7 days a week. Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am to 6pm.

Bought a super cool pirate ship kite. Great service in the store. Ended up dropping my phone in the parking lot. They found it and helped us get it back. Will definitely return. We have bought 3 kites from them so far and they are all good quality. Thanks for your honesty and good service.

Saw the kite store today from the balcony of my hotel and decided that would be my husband and my fun activity for a couple hours(I havent flown a kite since I was a little kid). I hadn't had so much fun in.. I can't even remember how long. Kites unlimited was the bomb. The man (mark I believe) running the store was super knowledgeable and was very helpful when letting him know my experience level and budget. I am now planning on flying that kite any time it's windy enough and I'm in a safe spot (at one point I had 500 ft rolled out, started from knee deep in the water, going over the seawall, the entire street, about 4 times the height of our hotel and probably so far out it was passed the back of the hotel (this was my first day trying.. got it up first try but it was a bit TOO angled). The next day after getting practice from the night before I had it 500 ft up almost vertically above me!!! It was so cool. I recommend this activity to anyone, any age, because I can only show pictures that might show the sheer joy in my face playing with it. SOO SOO HAPPY I found the kites unlimited store, I found a new hobby I don't plan on letting go of!

So I moved to Killeen TX in June of 2019 from Denver CO. I went to Galveston the following January for my Birthday. Guess what store I found? I bought the awesome box kite. Fast forward to a month ago. My kite went missing. I called this store and asked if this kite was available. It was. I did a phone order and I just got it from UPS today and I am so damn happy right now. Thank you Jeff!!

The store and staff are all great and very knowledgeable. So many kites from basic to advanced. We've bought a few kites and have many on our wish list. Bonus is they are right on the beach and the beaches are kite friendly.

Great store! I really enjoy the childlike atmosphere. Wonderful staff. A nice young man showed me around the store and answered all questions that I had with great respect. After deciding to buy an item, he rung me no problems! I was a bit worried about the service fee, but he assured it was no big deal. Very glad to have come here, will be returning for more kites and the lot!

This is not a kite shop that sells trinkets and gifts. This is a hard-core state of the art kite shop! Great owners great staff they know their business. I bought my original 9 foot Delta with all the accessories five years ago here. Today I just bought my second kite an 11th Delta. With more accessories. Such a relaxing way to spend your days on the beach. Flying a kite. A real kite. And when you drive away or walk down the beach a ways I know where my camp is because of the really cool kite that’s flying and marking my spot! People always come ask me about it.

These guys really know their kites! They were very helpful and based on the wind of the day/week gave us recommendations that we would not have known otherwise. I never knew the difference between kites that had structures in them to kites that don’t have any ridged structures and when you need each… awesome spot!

Amazing selection and very helpful staff. I bought a beautiful kite and took it to the beach and accidently lost one of the poles. I went back the next day to explain the situation and they were understanding and offered a solution to replace the missing pole for a few bucks. I was very happy with the solution and their willingness to go a little further to offer the help.

This is such a great store. They have all styles of kites and wind socks. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We ended up buying two different kites and we're going out right now to try them

Took my kids there expecting it to be overpriced. I thought we might just buy a small kite as a souvenir. Boy was I wrong. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. We will definitely be back. 👍

Great experience here! The employees were really great and they had an excellent selection of kites and many were on display. The guy here even showed us how to expertly use the kite string. We bought the nicer string which was a good move. The only issue was the 3% plus credit card service fee added on. A little high, but overall, we loved it.

Camping on the beach ⛱ for a week, a first kite is a must. I walked in clueless and was overwhelmed by the impressive selection. Thankfully, Kali was there to assist me immediately and guided me to the perfect kite design to meet my wants and needs. Only trouble was when I chose the perfect style of kite, I had to select the best design and color scheme to suit my personality. Lol 😆My kite has been flying day and night for 4 days on the beach. Unfortunately wind stopped last night and it landed in the dunes. But thanks to it's High quality, I was able to safely retrieve it without any damage. Spreader pole broke on my 10+ year old kite that I had purchased at Kites Unlimited in Galveston. Long story short, I called the store and they put me in touch with the manufacturer. I received a new pole in less than a week. No charge.

This shop is so neat! Wow! They’ve got every kind of kite & flag you can think of! Husband & I haven’t flown kites since kids, wanted a few to play with on beach & have flying over our RV. The guy helping us (I think he was the owner?) was super friendly & so helpful in explaining which ones would be best for beginners, he even set up our kite for us & demonstrated how to fly it! Prices are reasonable too, I highly recommend this store! We will definitely be back on our next trip down here! 😊

Amazing experience! They have kites from 4$, so they have something for you if you're not wanting to spend much. The girl that helped us was SO NICE. She gave us great advice, and demoed how to put our kite together and how to use our kite spool with the floor models. She answered all of our questions. We got the dopest shark kite. 🦈

This is an amazing business to help you have a wonderful and memorable vacation! Prices are quite comparable. My son's eyes were a bit quick on his decision, and it wasn't the right kite for us! But Jeff, the owner, was very understanding and quick to make our purchase and experience right! This is an awesome full service kite shop. They may even have the occasional replacement strut if needed. Oh, if you see a beautiful delta coloring the sky, it's mine from Kites Unlimited..... Yeah it's a candy store for those flights of fancy.

Let's start with the statement "Quality kites are pricey".With that out of the way, I can say how amazed we were with the HUGE selection available in this little store. This was our second visit and we were still astonished 😲. The staff was friendly and helpful.I didn't give five stars only because the store is inadequately lighted, and reading some of the tags was a struggle.

Beautiful collections of kites and other items!Purchased my 3yo daughter's first kite here. They are sturdy and well made. Definitely seem like they will last. Great and helpful customer service as well!My only recommendation to parents of kids under 3- the $17 dollar kites at the front would probably be good enough for them than the other ones they show you lol. I bought both and have no regrets but if you are just looking for a basic kite to keep them amused at the beach, the $17 ones at the checkout counter should be enough for those 3 and younger. We didn't even get to use the bigger one today since she had a blast with the small basic one but I'm sure they will still enjoy it some other time. Thank you!
