We tried dessert first; chocolate mousse and the ginger bread man cookie. They were all right but nothing spectacular. What does stand out are the kolaches. They were pretty fantastic! (So good I forgot to take pics). The servers both times offered their suggestions based on their preferences. The place is small with only takeout but it’s worth checking it out. Take a look at the awards !!!We will definitely be back.

Good dough? Great dough. The best dough. Placed an order over the phone for pickup and the lady who helped me was so friendly. For savory we tried the spinach & artichoke, mushroom cream cheese, pizza, and lumberjack kolaches. Bourbon peach and pineapple upside down cake were our sweet options. SOO good!! Perfectly soft and pillowy dough with flavorful ingredients. I wish I lived nearby so that I could eat these regularly!

Yummy! I don’t particularly like fruity desserts but if you do then these are for you! Perfect ratio of toppings and texture and flavor of the dough. The birthday cake was exceptionally tasty and the peach my favorite of the fruity ones. I did finish them all except for the blueberry…

I once tried a kolache with bbq filling, I moved down here and was craving some so bad, once I found out that Good Dough sold them I was floored.Even if it’s only on weekends, it makes it so worth it.If I didn’t have a hold of my wallet I’d give it to them automatically.I hope they’re able to expand, get more parking, a great big neon sign, and a nice little sit and eat area.This business is one of those amazing places that you just have to look for, and it’s worth it.

Great little shop! I tried most of the vegetarian kolaches they had and they were all awesome. Savory fillings and really good dough. Definitely a spot to check out and they'll have something for anyone in your group - good prices too for a quick breakfast.I asked about their hours and they said they'll be going to 7 days a week, 6am-12am soon ( but check their website too).

A maz ing! The dough is perfection. The toppings are delicious. These were our first kolaches ever, and I can't imagine any other bakery topping the quality of these ingredients and final products. There were refrigerators of dinners to go too with vegan options. The store was very clean. Galveston residents are very lucky to have this business. We have regrets for not buying more.Vegetarian options: There were many vegetarian kolaches and refridgerated prepared foods.

I saw this on Texas Bucket List and man look here🤣 I bought four kolaches and they were all flavorless. Especially the one with sausage in the middle with bacon. The power of social media influence is real. When I arrived this place was not what I saw on YouTube. Maybe it was different in the past when they weren’t well known but this ain’t it fam. Drove all the way from Houston expecting more for the money I paid. I’ll hold this L

I grew up eating kolaches in central Texas before kolaches were cool. When i was in Pilsen, CZ, my goal, besides Pilsen beer, was to find kolaches and compare to Texas. I tell you this to let you know i am not a kolache novice when i tell you that Good Dough has the most creative kolaches and klobasnek i've ever seen. Great flavors and friendly staff. And they open at 0400 hrs to feed the fishermen.Dont miss out on the goodness served in this modest Texas City bakery!

Happy to see this place open. I heard about their location in Texas City but have not had a chance to try it. Looks like they opened a pop-up shop inside La Cocina by Chef Mary Bass. Really friendly and upbeat staff. Excellent variety of kolaches. Growing up with a Czech Grandma, I tend to be "judgy" about my kolaches. 😄 My only issue is that they don't have the dough to filling ratio right (too much dough). It's a minor issue because their variety and flavors are fantastic! The "Becky" was so good. Stop by this shop. Don't miss out on trying these kolaches.

Amazing kolaches, the real kolaches not the hot dog things Texas calls kolaches. These were so tender and delicious, worth a trip to Galveston just for these.She also has lots of meal options to go that are likely yummy.

Great experience! I loved all the different fillings i got and the place and staff is great! The only thing i didnt care for is the bread. Its sweet and kinda throws you off with the savory insides. All in all tho a great place! Must try

I visited on Sunday morning with some relatives from out of town, we weren't sure what to get, so they offerred us a sample, and then we knew we had to get some. We got a variety of different Kolaches, and I was definitely impressed by their multiple unique flavors and interesting names for each type. I particularly loved their Cherry Hill Racer. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you like kolaches and are seeking some unique flavors.

Stopped out of curiosity now I'm hooked. Rotating menu with great variety, Friendly staff, And Fresh baked kolaches everyday! I love this place and it's gems like this that make 6th street more than just a way to work. I look forward to trying everything 😌 10/10

Great local shop with lots of types of kolaches as well as some pre-made meals and other options. All of the kolaches are delicious, as was the mousse we got. In the past we've had some of their meals and they have been good as well.

Never a disappointment...we've enjoyed the BumBum, Sam I Ham, Lumberjack, Mean Girls, Mango Tango, and the Banana s on the Bayou.
