No cards,cash only. Card readers down. This is a frequent occurrence at this place. Had to use the ATM located inside the store to get cash since “cash only” I wish I had taken a picture of that absolutely disgusting dripping and oozing rust,a Coke maybe exploded on it .. and it has been that way for weeks (except it’s growing worse and more unsanitary) I asked the Hispanic guy working checkout about a few weeks ago .. he told me it was delivered to the store in that condition… and that he had NO intention of cleaning it as it didn’t belong to the store … common attitude these days “not my job” he should be fired,the manager (if they have one should be fired) There’s no excuse! Clean up the darn machine! Or call whoever owns it and have them takes it away,it’s unsanitary and just gross!The store is always in disarray (if it’s open) it’s often closed in addition to the “cash only.”The store is dirty,filthy actually. Beware of freeEr items! We’ve purchased things that once we got them home it was obvious the item had thawed and re frozen! That’s food poisoning waiting to happen.You’re thinking .. why do I go there. Well,it’s only a few blocks away and has cigarettes and sometimes cheap beer prices although not recently. My 7 year old likes to get snacks there. I did inform him that everything is NOT a dollar and most things are more expensive than Walmart!So if it weren’t for the nice lady who works checkout .. she’s an older,African American lady and just adore her. If not for her I would give it negative stars.Nice lady at checkout,always like talking with her.

Number 1 is just 3 blocks from my house, and the ppl are always nice. Fairly priced and a good variety of items so I don't have to mess with super stores like Walmart...

Its a hot mess. Nothing put away crates and boxes stacked around. Shelves are impossible to locate anything. Its clear the employees here just don't care.Update. Well i will give points for having the boxes and other items on the shelves but the choice of music being blasted through the store would not be on my play list. Id rather have had quiet compared to the tortured sounds of the singing. They were fast at processing the line of people so points there but the friendliness of my cashier was less than positive. He seemed bothered that people were in his store.

When you need something it's convenient but it starts getting sketchy around dusk- actually it could be sketchy all the time but that's just when I happen to be there- although the guy who asked me for change out front did say he loved me so I got that going for me#blessed

Lots of items cluttered around, and inventory seems to be haphazard that times. Steal the mainstay forgetting something quick and affordable even in this inflation bump that's going on currently.

The store on 45th is always filthy outside! You'd think since letting the homeless hang out around there that the least they could do is help keep all the trash picked up! It's disgusting!

All of the cashiers here talk about their personal affairs with the customers. Every time I'm there it hasn't failed. Honestly, it's anot located in the nicest area. And they check every single item so SLOw...You can literally take a power nap standing there. All of the employees smell like they've been in a SMOKE Barn. I really try to avoid this place unless it's an Emergency. And then anywhere between 2pm and 6pm Monday through Friday kids are walking around the store asking for money to BUY.. Sour candy and Takis....it's absolutely insane

It's pretty good for a five and dime. They sell beer and wine and BUZZBALLS, in case you're having trouble finding them for a decent price. I think they sell cigarettes, but not vapes. Not big, about average size for a Family Dollar. A little cramped and sometimes in shambles! You will probably find what you're looking for as far as typical supermarkets go, just not a lot to choose from. I have shopped there as late as 10PM. Sometimes you gotta wait in line, but usually not too bad. You can park on Q and run in. Careful pulling out, the driveway's steep!

Messy, nasty, shoplifters, and vagrants hanging in parking area begging for money. Near me if I need one item, but always understaffed, be prepared to wait a while to pay.

Huge family dollar compared to what eere used to. You might want to take a side entrance because the main entrance will scrape the bottom of your car if you drive a low vehicle. They had a wide variety of items and employees were nice and informative. My only complaint is that entrance. Other than that store is incredibly clean as well.

The store itself is just a disappointment all around. Barren shelves, items stacked in the aisle on most aisles. The staff does not speak a word to you but to give you your total....that's it. There is no acknowledgement when you enter the store, check out or leave the store. Robots or vending machines instead of the employees and barren shelves would be more useful.

Great place for a quick pick up of essentials. It's a neighborhood store, so it's not usually too crowded, and it's easy access.. the people are nice too!

I got a little hand sanitizer dispenser that I thought was broken so I went to return it- Sonia the cashier was extremely helpful with figuring out how it worked. She brought out batteries and even filled some hand sanitizer to make sure it was working properly. For a $5 product she went above and beyond. Definitely commend Sonia as a very helpful employee to the store. Gracias Sonia!

Almost always have to wait in line at that store with the way it is set up. Seldom is there more than one person working a register when there may be 6-10 people waiting in line. Luckily it is only 5blovks from my house but ai may just drive farther to Kroger. At least I can self checkout there.

I go to this store because it's convenient as it is near my home and I don't have to fight the tourist crowd near the beach but this store has struggled with keeping employees and managers and keeping products in stock. There were no paper towels, no deodorizing sprays, 2 or 3 packages of toilet paper and 4 bottles of dawn dishwashing liquid. Please somebody help this store!!!!

Staff is not knowledgeable and pricing is that of a regular grocery store or even higher. Shelves are empty most times. Prices marked are always different than the shelf price. The only reason I shop there is it's the ONLY store near me everything is 2-3 miles away on foot.Just this year it's gone thru 3 different managers and now on its 4th. This corporation has their customers AND employees by the short hairs. Is it any wonder where customer service went? Somewhere overseas now. Family dollar and dollar tree execs should be ashamed of themselves but remember while in lockdown these fat cat got their salaries and screwed everyone else.

Great variety of items and friendly staff. However the exterior environment of the building is atrocious and an eyesore. Corporate needs to spend some time to clean the trash and trim the trees and work daily trash pickup into an employees schedule.

The store was absolutely a disaster! They had 4 employees working. Three females were standing around and talking. A number of aisles had boxes everywhere. Merchandise just thrown on the floor. Most of the aisles you couldn't even walk down. Won't ever go back!!!

Update:I only give 1star cause I can't rate lower.This has got to be the worse family dollar in history!!They never answer the phone...They never have any buggies or baskets for shoppers so,you have to tote your items in hand!!The line stay a mile long so your holding "saud" items forever!!Only one register is ever open!!Its pathetic . Employees hang around on their phones they work that older lady Ms.Regina to death!! She's the only one i ever see hardworking and always polite..Im surprised this location is still open!!I live near the store so I go pretty often the staff is friendly but the isle are always crowded everytime I come in.They need a new stocker cause the one they have sucks although I never see one.Hire some help and stop being cheap please.

I was verbally attacked by some rude unclean guy directly in front of the cashier, and instead of her helping me in any way whatsoever she began to do as he did. I will NEVER Ggo to ANY family dollar EVER AGAIN. Unprofessional unsafe and ghetto I could not believe it I live nearby however that experience lost my business forever and I have informed absolutely every single person I have been able to get to listen to me it was horribly absurd and disgusting professionalism and that's putting it politely honestly

I just don’t understand why this family dollar has more people working here and yet the milkman has been sitting on the side waiting to get checked in .They’ll say because of the 18 wheeler they got but that’s not the case at all . the milk is sitting in room temperature which cannot be good for the milk seeing as the hotter the milk the more likely the milk will go bad …. Definitely not buying milk here and the people here
