I went to a different Dollar General while in Galveston and the employees and manager were slightly rude. I believe that one was on Stewart. Went to another on Broadway. Such a breathe of fresh air, such a difference. Very nice and helpful, and accomdating. My five stars are for this particular store. Kudos to good training and management. A ++++ customer service.

They have 1 cashier doing it all. I waited in line for 20 balloons which I was shorted 1 and then she accused me of lying for a dollar and then of course i drove back for my 1 and was asked to get 4 more and she made me wait till all the customers in line were done before getting to me which is ridiculous what is the difference from ringing out a person with 5 items and my 5 balloons. I still had to wait in line for 30 minutes while she helped the line of 10 people that had well over 5 items a piece. At first i felt sorry for her but then to be accused of lying when clearly she knows she shorted me but why sale balloons if you have a problem getting them. Im a paying customer just like the rest and then shes the only one yeah right she calls a lady named Angela when she needs change but not to help with 5 balloons. This is by far the worse place.

This is far best the best dollar tree I’ve been too in years ..Rj the store manager is a really hard worker he is always helping people ..idk what this other reviews are about but he is the opposite of what there saying I just really love this store and will be back

Worst experience I have ever had at a store in my life. It started off with an employee named Liz and she was the most rudest women I have every encountered. She had a lot of attitude towards me starting off like I was inconveniencing her, when I came up to her with a question. She would constantly make little remarks, roll her eyes when I was talking to her and was down right rude. I would not recommend this location to anyone or would I ever come back again.

Literally talking on the phone and could not hear me say I don't need my receipt and then ask me if I needed my receipt. Get off the dang Bluetooth headset telephone while you're with a customer, lady. 620pm 3/30/23 register 2

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I need help finding an item, so naturally I look for an employee to ask and I find RJ, who was the manager on duty that day. I simply ask where can I find said item and he has the most arrogant attitude as he points to where it’s located. I couldn’t find the item cause of his lack of pinpointing it, so I find him and ask again. He immediately lets out an angry grunt and storms off to a back room. So disrespectful and inconsiderate.

The hours always seem changing and I never know when is a good time to go to this store, and its like whoever is the store manager is makes up there own schedule to accommodate themselves. The times I have went I have observed the decline in customer service, store upkeep, and it is an empty shell of what this store used to be.

I was a previous manager here when the store was actually a good place to shop at but on September 19 my dog died and I couldn’t even take a day to mourn here passing and I was also informed that I wasn’t gonna get paid for having Covid the Store manager RJ is the worst boss to have he doesn’t know how to manage the store at all that’s why he has no one left that stayed when I was let go but karma will catch up to him eventually and when it does he’s gonna regret the decisions that he has made.
