Really ghetto the kids that work here will curse u out and have u afraid for your life . Management won't do anything when u complain except tell you don't call coorprate. They sit up and whisper and talk about you and don't go in there comfortable or with any type of illness because the boy will attack u for not being dressed to impress. Very unprofessional and they don't take complaints serious. NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT . THE MANAGEMENT THERE DOES NOT TAKE THE CUSTOMER WHO SPENDS THEIR MONEY SERIOUS NOR DO THEY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS SAFETY AND WILL BEING AVOID THIS STORE..You take a chance walking in THERE.

The line is always long and they have two registers but I've never seen them being both in use which causes the long line. Other than that the name brand products they carry are at reasonable prices so that's what I go there for, it's a good place if you prefer less of a crowded store. Although store is little and lines are long, just never seems like that people are in there while I'm shopping (hence the less crowded store experience). I mostly like going there for my necessities and cleaning products. Every once in awhile I see something unique/different and I'll buy it. For instance I found some wall decor to go with my beach, sea creatures and shell theme that match perfectly in my guest bedroom. It's the wall decor that I bought, posted other pictures just to show what I was attempting for a beach, sea creatures and shell theme guest room. I'm not done with this room as I am still making changes and collected much of the decor from many other places over time and furniture will be changed to mostly white eventually.

This was the filthiest store that I have ever been to. Everything was everywhere. Product on the floor and mixed in with things it did not go with. There were items on the shelf knocked over. Seems like no effort was taken to uphold the appearance of the store. And the cashier was using profanity like it was a common social skill. I was harassed on the way out. I will never go there again.

This dollar general has a lot of items with no price tag, go figure it would be on the items way over price, they charged $17 dollars for the smallest child's bodyboard, no price tag, they charged $16 for a child's snorkel set, no price tag, mind you all of these things are dollar store material, meaning very cheap quality, which is fine for a dollar store item but they are not charging $1 or even $5, they are charging close to $20 for things that are at walmart for less $ and better quality, save a trip and go to walmart instead, Or Dollar Tree where things are priced accordingly and most being $1.25!

This store is well managed & maintained, & consistent, in the most important ways. The staff (seldom changing, & that's appreciated) always are welcoming & helpful, & hardworking, with a positive (never cantankerous) attitude. There may be a long line now & again, but a friendly cashier can (& does) make it a comfortable wait.

Shelves were on the unkempt side of things but the staff makes up for it. They are always positive, outgoing and hospitable! I just moved to town and my card got locked and the cashier actually paid for it for me. I, since then, have payed it forward but it definitely made an impression. 4 stars

Re floor-planned roomy entry, a great improvement upon entering & exiting premises. Well stocked cleared aisles provide better access to shelved products. Helpful staff a marked improvement compared to former personnel.More attention to detail results in better overall appearance of this store.

Everyone that works here is very courteous and polite, willing to go the extra mile. However, there is ALOT going on in this store when it comes to merchandising-small space compared to large inventory! Being disabled, it is difficult maneuvering in such a crowded place.

More than a bit disorganized...really messy, boxes in aisles always. But i keep going back...prices are decent. Cashiers are frequently away from register, and there is often only one. Had a cashier carry on a full blown cell phone conversation while checking me, recently. Not crazy about that idea. Could be a GREAT store. But at this point, its often just a barely good store.

I stop here out of necessity. This Island only has so much on the west end and nothing convenient. You either go to Walmart or F$&# off. Staff here is a 50/50 toss up. Some days I'm in and out others I stand in line what seems forever. This is usually due to one clerk working and the other wondering around the store or engaged in BS conversation. All this while they see the ppl waiting. Not sure what goes on behind the curtain. I just think if I can figure out their traffic and stay away when their busy. They should be able to get to work when it's busy.

I love that this DG is just a short walk/bile from my house. Having said that, I often get in my car and drive the 9 extra miles to go to the DG on the west end of the island. This store is always trashed. Its filthy.. dusty and sticky floor from spilled merchandise I'm sure.. Shelves emptied onto the floor. Merch mixed up and in completely different areas from where it should be. The staff has always been nice and helpful so they just need to hire some extra staff to clean the store daily.

This store absolutely does not follow the hours of operation! The open and close times are clearly posted on the door and on a regular basis the employees are either late showing up to open the store or will be inside stocking and refuse to open the doors for 20-30 past the posted oopenin times saying they can't let customers in because they would be in the way. I stay around the corner from this store so I frequently visit this store. Every night for the last week they have closed their doors at least 20 minutes early. They will have an employee standing at the door refusing to let people in saying that it's to close to closing time. The employees seem to be more worried about rushing to get off work then actually doing their jobs and servicing the customer.

Area looked a little skeptical at night time. Day time it seemed a tad better, but I didn’t bother going inside the store since the lighting in area was very low and just bad vibes.Maybe I will stop in during mid-day lol

This Dollar General location is the closest store to my house, so it sees a lot of my family. We go there for quick shopping trips when we need milk, cat food, or eggs. It also has a nice selection of one dollar candies.

Dollar general always have broken cash registers, lines be so long. But the cashier's and workers are so friendly and hard workers. It's just those machines they are forced to work on.hope it get better for them.😘

Store is very Cluttered. Everything is always out of place, shelves are always empty. Twice I've gotten expired food. I just go to Walmart it's 3 blocks from here.

I went there specifically for solar dancers & solar bobblers. They have many different kinds! I'm so excited!! They were mainly Christmas ones. I know there are many other holiday ones. I'm still searching for others.

I am from out of town on vacation and wasn't greeted , this store looked like a Nader went through it and came back and did another round, mostly everything was out of stock and everything was mixed up, by far the filthiest Dollar General I have ever went to, also my daughter was with me and saw the mess! Under cover boss needs to visit that place, horrible!

People are friendly, and the store is for the most part clutter free. If it rains that they do have water leaks, but I guess thats anywhere you to on this island. Ppl are supper friendly and knowledgeable.FYI They DO NOT-take Apple Pay. I believe Samsung Pay, works.

The floor is always dirty and no one is ever at the check out register. The manager is always on the phone or someone is playing loud music while working. This is the only Dollar General in Galveston and I hate that. I have started going to Family Dollar on Broadway which is much more cleaner and more professional.

Typical Dollar General in an iffy area, saw a drug deal go down in the parking lot. Cluttered aisle and shelves... difficult to find anything. Very nice and helpful employees though. I recommend the DG in West Galveston down by Jamaica Beach.

We're from San Antonio, Texas. It was our first time at Dollar General.Not very much of a selection of items my mom was looking for. The cashier at the checkout didn't respond to my mom when she said hello and ask how she was doing. Very snobby.Never again will we shop in Galveston, at Dollar General.

Store is usually unorganized with sticking carts blocking aisles. Checking out is slow. 2 or more registers but only one open at a time. Workers are nice but unprofessional

Taylor is a very nice person.I hope do gen.knows a good employee when they have one.he's the only worker in two months I've met that shouldn't be fired at dollar General.
