OK, so I am a local and my main form of transportation is my electric scooter so now I roll up to the door to find out no scooters allowed in the store. Just FYI I am emailing corporate. I come in there with my scooter and I don’t bother anyone and I’m not chaining up a $600 scooter outside. I think this is rude to the locals and I came there almost every day after work for something on the way home. So now you lose out on those sales. Bummer I guess I’ll give my money to Kroger from now on.

Love the way I'm always greeted as I walk in! Just one issue there's a Hispanic short male manager that follows people around always makes me very uncomfortable at first I thought it was just In My head until my son was visiting here an we went an upon leaving my son asked Who is that man?he's kinda weird why does he stare an follow Us!!he doesn't keep me from going I will always continue to shop there all the other workers are very friendly and helpful 😃

One of the cleaner pharmacy/convenience stores in Galveston. But they don’t have a public restroom. See photo for explanation. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good location.

I'm switching pharmacy's because this location always messes up my pression refilldates. It's a dangerous game making people wait 5 days before they can get a medication that's needed everyday. And of course , nobody ever know what's happening or how it fell threw . Incopatent and dangerous pharmacy to say the least

The staff couldn’t have been nicer! The pharmacist helped me get an emergency supply of medication while on vacation and I am super grateful! He went the extra mile for me. Candice the cashier was super sweet and lovely. Great experience!

Ms. O is the best! Always kind, always professional. The workers, not so much. Alicia comes off as a sweetheart but she really isn't. Not sure why she's working in the area, she doesn't fit. I specifically discussed with her what rx needed to be reissued. 1. She act as if it couldn't be done. I then say, are you telling me you can't see if my doctor won't do it? She then says, let me see if it'll let me. Claims to have sent the request right. I follow up. This bird, literally sent it to a doctor that is no longer my doctor and hasn't been!!! Why on earth would you do that? Also, causing further delay! Like are you serious? Then Porsha, she don't know how to talk on the phone. I mean, consistently talking over me. Like, are you okay? Are you of age, to work in the pharmacy? Because, how are you as old as you are (could tell by her voice she isn't young) but, you acting and sounding like a 15/16 year old talking over persons. It was insane! Can only imagine what senior citizens are going through, dealing with these unprofessional people. It's disgusting

Terrible attitudes. Extremely incompetent and unprofessional pharmacy staff. Update: (15 min later) They claimed they could not fill a prescription and sent a denial to my doctor as well. The prescription manufacturer as well as CVS lists the medical device on site. I drove to the Target location and within 5 minutes my prescription was ordered and is now on it’s way. This is why CVS Target location has great reviews and this location has poor reviews. This CVS location has hired disgruntled, rude and incompetent staff to run their pharmacy and their many low star reviews reflects that. Promise you the staff at this pharmacy could care less about service or what any of us think of it.

This CVS is conveniently located & very clean. The employees, both at the check out and the pharmacy, are always professional and very nice. Gilbert helped us during this particular visit. He was so AWESOME! He had an upbeat attitude & we could tell he enjoyed his job. He was professional with us as customers and he was professional with other coworkers. Can't wait to see him again on our next visit! He's a great example of how to take pride in your work no matter where you are.

Portia in the pharmacy is amazing. She recognizes me and always keep the traffic moving through this location. Prescriptions are filled in a timely manner and service is friendly. The only thing holding me back from giving them the fifth star is that they stopped accepting some BCBS plans. I know a competitor has been buying up the rights. Let me say that competitor will NEVER get my business. I'll miss dealing with Portia for my prescriptions.

I gave the 2 stars , this for the pharmacy only. The 2 stars are for one pharmacist and one pharmacy tech. The rest need training. Number one , in my opinion when a Dr calls in the medication that is because you need the medication right then, not days later. Or not in stock at all. The other thing is I went to get my prescriptions and was told by newer pharmacy tech that my insurance is saying I must get a 90 day refill to fill them. Why would I do that when my dosage or med might change on my next drs appt. FyI…my insurance doesn’t do that. It’s up to me! So I called and spoke to someone else and was told she was wrong(which I knew) and she should have checked with one us to fix any issue. They just don’t train them well enough.

I worked for CVS as a pharmacy tech while in college, so I am a very loyal customer. This is the first negative review I have ever given. The 1 star is actually for the store while the ZERO stars are for the pharmacy.My toddler has a bad ear infection. My day went as follows:1. I dropped off the prescription checking with the pharmacy first to make sure the medicine was in stock.2. An hour later, my husband received a text saying the medicine was ready.3. I went to the pharmacy to pick up the medicine.4. When I show up, the pharmacist tells me the prescription is not ready because she thought it might be “too expensive,” so she wanted to make sure I wanted to (read: could afford to) pay for it before filling it.5. I told her I wanted to fill it. She goes into the back and then informs me they don’t actually have it in stock and it’s not available at any CVS on the island.My questions: Why say that you have it when you don’t? Why is the pharmacy staff trying to dictate how much is too expensive? The stores I worked at would always fill and then back out the prescription if the customer determined it was too expensive.I will never fill a prescription at another CVS ever again.

Hands down the most insane, reckless, rude, and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a pharmacist in my entire life without exaggeration.I am not exaggerating when I say that this pharmacy is going to get someone killed.I’ve waited for a critical Rx to be filled for days. I have a 30 day refill called in by my doctor.The first fill they did only contained 6 pills.I requested a proper refill for the amount my doctor called in.They said my doctor never called & they have never filled a prescription for me.Then they said my insurance doesn’t work with CVS.Then claimed to have called me.My doctor did call.I have in my hand a bottle for this very medication filled at this pharmacy.There is no missed call or voicemail from any 409 number associated with CVS in the past few days, much less yesterday.When I asked to speak to someone above her, she said she’s the supervising pharmacist. (Lord help us all.)When I asked to speak with another pharmacist, she hung up on me.They should know this, but it is extremely dangerous for me to miss this medication. I’ve been trying to get a correct fill for 2 weeks and have been out for 2 days now.Currently I am in bed, very ill from lack of medication.This pharmacy needs to have their license reviewed and potentially revoked. It is STUNNING that they are allowed to operate.I’m calling every pharmacy oversight department I can find. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN before they kill someone.

I actually love this store, but the homeless people outside are getting too aggressive, and CVS needs to address this problem. Last night, I watched a man pull up in his mini-van, he was trying to get his 3 or 4 year old daughter out of the van when a homeless guy was in his face. This was scary, they were parked on the side of CVS and it was dark. I pulled my car as close as I could and started honking my horn, which gave the father and daughter a chance to go inside. The homeless guy then started towards my car and I just drove off. I'm guessing he was homeless, but he might have been up to something worse. They need security outside or something.

The pharmacy is the worst I've ever seen. Hell, the VA is better than this pharmacy. My doctor ordered pain medication well before a holiday weekend. The pharmacist lied and said they didn't get the script. I had to go 4 days without the medication I needed. They couldn't care less. That's it for me . Finding another pharmacy

Rude pharmacy customer service. I called to have my birth control RX transferred to this location, as I would need to pick it up while in this area. When I went to pick it up, I wasn’t greeted but asked what I needed in an unfriendly manner, and the woman working the drive thru window, commanded me to sign the confirmation of receipt, then pushed my RX out without a thank you, a goodbye, or even letting me know if my transaction was complete. The job was done, however your staff’s disposition is very unpleasant and is driving me to another location with more friendly customer service. I do hope this review helps change that, but I’m pretty sure it won’t 🤷🏽♀️

Been coming here for several weeks and keep getting a different excuse why my prescriptions are not ready and not a single apology. Last week was told I needed to ask my PCP for a Pre-authorization, turns out the pharmacist is supposed to do that. Staff is not very empathetic, and honestly rather dismissive. Not having the medication you need is difficult enough, but having staff treat you the way they do only adds an additional level of frustration. The overall 3-star rating simply speaks for itself and as soon as I can I will be switching pharmacies. Good riddens!

The front of the store is awesome. The staff are great. The pharmacy however is by far the worst I’ve encountered. They are not helpful or friendly. I have attempted to get my prescriptions there multiple times and finally out of frustration had Wallgreens call and move my entire profile. When I made complaints the pharmacy just ignored me. I told them I would be speaking to the store manager again they all just ignored me. This is not the way you treat customers and cvs should fire the entire pharmacy and out in new staff there. Go to walgreen to pick up your meds. Go to cvs if you want something from the store. Again front of the store staff are awesome.

Would give zero if possible. My brother in law had surgery & his prescription was sent to this pharmacy. My sister called several times a day for 2 days & was left on hold for 15 minutes. Called & tried to select non pharmacy assistance & was disconnected. My brother in law, in pain & in his pajamas drove there, went inside just to be told their phones are out of order & they have no record of his prescription. Terrible if true but suspicious that a major pharmacy retailer can't get their phones repaired timely.

I was in this CVS Saturday, March 31, at around 7:30 pm, trying to make multiple 13 cent 4x6 photos, and not doing a very good job of it, due to my own lack of expertise. Even though the store was very crowded most of the time I was there, the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful to me than they actually were. Readng other reviews on this site, I can only conclude the earlier unfavorable reviews about customer service are much outdated. I had 3 employees cheerfully helping me (Nancy was especially helpful), and I really appreciate havng been able to complete the job I was performing in a timely and stress-free manner.

CVS writes up its employees and managers for the fact that customers don't want to buy a carepass. Completely unethical to hinge a good employees means of living based on what a customer chooses to buy. I will make sure everyone I know knows about this policy as well as everyone I can reach on the internet. Also transferring my prescript

Usually a good go-to place for over the counter meds. However on Sunday morning I read they open at 7 am. I had been up all night with a bad case of heartburn. I waited until 7:15, trying to give them a few minutes to get up and running.When I got there the metal scaffolding was still down covering the doors. Very disappointed.

The pharmacists will do absolutely nothing to go out of the way for you. IF there are any glitches with your insurance they basically push it back on you and say good luck. In my case I knew that they could contact another CVS in a different state that would answer whatever questions they had. The response I received is that I needed to look-up a CVS in that state and provide them with the CVS Pharmacies name & phone number. I told them any CVS pharmacy will do and I have to hang-up and call back in every time I have to access the Internet. The pharmacist said that the people in the store are more important than me and that I will just have to wait on hold again for the 3rd time (because she didn’t want to find a CVS pharmacy on her own!). Before hanging up I asked if she could call UTMB pharmacy down the street because they have the information. Again, I was told to get them the phone number and call back and then they will call that pharmacy (again it’s a 30 min wait every time I do this!). I have had good luck with CVS but this particular location the staff is lazy and unhappy. This isn’t the first time I have noticed but I know I am done giving them business. Avoid this CVS pharmacy at ALL COSTS! There is another CVS on 61st, Walgreens is close, Kroger & WalMart on the Seawall.
