Very clean, neatly maintained location. Had everything we were looking for.Note: "some" (2) Staff could have been a little more proactive, however, in asking if they could help a customer find anything. Situational awareness lacked.So if you're passing by staff in this facility and they are speaking or discussing something, don't loiter around them expecting that "by chance" they might bother asking if they can help you find something. You're on your own.Some might argue why not just sort of "budge in" to their chatter, and be rude like so many others these days who feel privileged.I prefer to respect the conversation until I feel I can edge in a quick question. Or just wait it out, within rain.As is with most large stores like Big Lots, I'm assuming there is some level of "customer awareness" training that goes into preparing and developing employees in general.Besides, the one (female) appeared quite older than the second (male) as she gave some sort of instruction on items laying about. I would suppose now, unfortunately, this was a missed opportunity to demonstrate to the other employee what customer service truly looks like.Customer awareness is just as important as self awareness in many respects. Both fall squarely beneath a general sense of "situational awareness". That was lacking in this instance no matter how isolated an incident it may seem.Still, the place deserves a 4-Star otherwise. I'm certain I would visit again.

I am relatively happy with my experience. Although by being the nice person i am i allowed someone else to purchase all of the item i was trying to buy by letting them go before me, even though i was there first, causing me to have to buy something else.

Lots of bargains, aisles too narrow for shoppers to pass each other. That's a real turn off to most people. Easy to be trapped if there was an emergency, robbery, or fire.

Staff is friendly. Store is clean. Parking lot needs a good street cleaner. Pricing on stuff is spotty. Sometimes there just isn't a price sticker or there's two conflicting price stickers. Seems to happen more frequently than other similar stores in the area.

Low inventory or missed deliveries, no where near other Big lots in smaller towns. Located in old retail center that buildings are outdated with stiff manual doors and upkeep. Road and parking lot well aged and ignored.

First time in a big lots and I will say that I won't go back to one. I just didn't see discounts on any of the items that I looked at. It was actually was more expensive. I only bought one item because I hadn't seen it anywhere else and talked to my sister and she bought the same thing five dollars cheaper elsewhere.

Eduardo gets a double high five 🙌🏻🙌🏻! We took a trip to the store for a specific item. We even called ahead with the SKU number to ensure the item was in stock. Once we arrived at the store we couldn’t locate our item. Eduardo took the SKU number and disappeared to the back of the store to search for the item. After about 15 minutes of waiting I was about to give up hope…and then here comes Eduardo carrying my item!!! He said he had to fight his way through 40 boxes to find my item. Way to go Eduardo!!!! Thank you for going above and beyond. 😃

I love this Big Lots location and always go before leaving the Island. It has a better selection than some of the Houston stores. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. I love the Garden Decor, Appliances and Health Supplements. They actually had MCT Oil for $10 and it was high quality! When you're in Galveston stop by and see for yourself ✨

I hate when I go to a store and I pick up three different colors of an item and none of them....none of any color or size of that item are in the correct spot BUT they are folded and organinzed,, so I'm thinking it cost one price and its twice as much at the register. Just fix your store or give me the price I though I was going to pay and keep the attitude to yourself. Only giving a three because the store had what I needed, just not the price that I expected.

This store has done a 360 turn in 3 months. I shopped in the store in June and it was a mess, shipment all over, dirty, and empty shelves half merchandised. I came back a couple weeks ago and it was a completely different store. The place was so clean the floor sparked, shelves were merchandised and priced, inventory was full and ready to buy, and the overall atmosphere was inviting to shoppers. Even the staff seemed friendlier. Maybe they got new management, whatever it is the place looks great and I can’t wait to shop there again. I hope it stays that way!

Big Lots must have gone through some upper management changes because in every store I visit the employees are friendly helpful and appear to be happy.Years ago this was not the case and I went there only if they had something I needed; now I go if I need to kill some time and I'm just wandering the isles...and usually end up buying something.

Bought a couch from them a year ago, it broke literally the day we got it. None of the wood is connected by anything sturdy but finishing nails. There was nothing they could do about it they said, but take my $800. Anytime I’ve been in there the employees have been rude. The manager is a farse. Used to love big lots up in the dfw. There is no comparing.

They don't have a lot compared to a lot of the Big Lots I have been to before. I still would have given them four stars, but for what happened later.We bought a large bag of candy for Halloween but they never gave it to us after we paid for it. No problem, I just made a special trip back later. I got back with the receipt, and the man I went up to, to ask what I needed to do; declared that I was trying to steal from them. I was shocked. I explained that we bought the bag but it never made it out of the store, again. He told me that if I had left something it would have gone into a special basket. I asked him to look in the basket but he couldn't find it.When he finally got someone else to find it, it was completely empty. He declared that proof that I was a thief. I sighed and asked if it was unusual for the basket to be empty, especially during a holiday? Another associate walking by stating that she had just put everything in the basket back throughout the store, as normally no one ever comes back for their stuff. Finally, the man lets me have my one bag of candy but still was looking at me like he should have called the cops.One star.

I stopped by Big Lots with my "small" list. As usual. When I got in there, I bought all the items on the list and more. I have learned that if there is something I really want, I should buy it. Chances are it will be gone the next time I get back to that store or the one on Nasa Road One. I enjoy the fact that they have imported jams/jellies, cookies, pasta noodles, etc. They have hired some new employees and they are working out. The store remains clean. The employees are helpful.

Went in last minute to find a selfie stick to take on the cruise. We found 3 on the shelf; I should have bought them all because the kids and my husband trying to share and operate the one selfie stick was funny. The price was excellent for the product and it did not break during the cruise or malfunction.

This was the first time I ordered online for store pick up. The manager handled my order - it had been bagged and ready to pick up. Normally I like to just browse the store, but this time I had specific items s I needed so pre ordered. I'll do it again.

Always great finds on sale. Great place for holiday decor. Nice selection of home goods. Store is always clean and quiet. Dora is really sweet and always helpful.
