This place is solid. I bought some items for an impromptu round of golf and they had a good selection of items for an island store. They also had all other sports well represented and stocked as well.

I’m not Atmosphere but the owner, Roxanne Clarke.I haven’t been in to Academy in a while. The last time I went it was under-stocked and you couldn’t find anyone to help.Well, let me tell you!!!!! I went into the store about a week ago on a Sunday afternoon with my son to get a trampoline. I was greeted by two men asking me how they could help. I told them I was looking for a trampoline. They pointed me in the direction. Then following right behind me was two gentleman that helped me closer navigate to them. They offered much help with sizing and features of each one, down to pricing. They loaded the one I chose up on a dolly and brought it to the front. I told them I had a little more shopping to do so they gladly said they would hold on to it for me. We went to shoes and a lady in the shoe department helped us find what we needed. As we checked out the lady at the register was wonderfully pleasant. She asked if we found everything we needed. She even noticed my son and greeted him as well. I told her I was astounded to how wonderful I felt and so helpful everyone was. It was like a breath of fresh air! Thank you Ed, Steve, Mimi, Robert and David. You made my visit so wonderful. One thing though and this is just a joke… the trampoline was not easy to put together. But I have amazing neighbors who helped me. I was determined to have an outlet for my son. He loves it! Thank you so much!

Need running shoes 👟? They got you. Actually just about anything outdoors-camping BBQ-ing Fishing all sports - even darts... although I don't remember seeing any bowling balls.. but still they got you- staff was very friendly and knowledgeable keep up the great work

Moesha -AKA- MiMi , I hope I got ur name correct.You made our visit to Academy great. Made jokes with us, easily fell in line with our vibes and made our visit exceptional. Usually only bad reviews are being left in regards to service. This is the exact opposite. You are an awesome person. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and friendly. You didnt skip a beat. From us 3, we would like to say we see you. We appreciate you, and your awesome energy is seen by us. It was a pleasure to have you hekp us today. We can't thank you enough!

Love this store! Excellent selection of items from beach, fishing, hunting, etc! Their clothing selection is awesome, and they have great sales. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Poorly organized and poor signage to find dept. location for Items. I kept wasting time trying to find the boys dept. You can't tell where the girls ends and boys begins. Staff isn't helpful. If I can't find it they should walk me to it. Not say to me oh, that's in the boys dept.

Selection: Unable to find most of the marine items on our list. Prices: High. Store & parking lot: Dirty, needs power washing and fresh paint. Overall: looks neglected. We’ll go back to Amazon for great selection, low prices, and no dirt.

Bought a 12' rod. Surprisingly, it was the longest surf rod in the store. Also bought some braided line which they put on the reel I brought in. Great service.

Okay the building itself is stocked there are plenty of things here however the staff that would normally be there to help the visiting purchasers really and truly need some help everybody stands around talking nobody seems to be very interested in helping the customers and having to literally chase someone down to get any type of assistance really and truly makes me not want to come back there again

Not the greatest Academy. Pretty small, but understandably so. Pretty disorganized but I do understand they get a lot of beach traffic in and out. Bathrooms were not the cleanest. This is definitely where you want to go for boogie boards when you're on the beach. You can buy your own board here for what it costs you to rent it on the beach.

Probably one of the smallest Academy's I've seen. Bit I'm giving them a 3 star because every time we go there not only do they seem way understaffed. The employees are very unmotivated and it's like pulling teeth to get a little help... not to mention they complain about their jobs.

For the fifth time I walked in they did not have the merchandise that they had on their website….,Please don’t go there. If you see that they have inventory available harass them and make them over the phone put their hands on it because it’s probably not there. They blame it all on thieves..I am just going to say that it’s probably just a lack of managerial control of bringing in a whole lot, hoping you sell it. And if you don’t why not just sell it out the back door that was the feeling that I got..

Good store for hunting and fishing merchandise. I didn’t find what I needed - RV chemicals and regular charcoal. They do stock a variety of hardwood and pellets but not what I’m looking for. I had to go down the street for this stuff. Otherwise a good Academy store.

Shopped on line and pleasant experience with the staffing for pick up. Decided to price out a firearm while there. Person behind the counter was less than helpful. First I was told that the pistol I was interested in was not carried. However I was able to see it in the display after spending time looking in to it. Asked to see it and told that I had to wait for someone else. Did not bother to page or otherwise attempt to get a person to help. I left unsatisfied.
