I like this store. Smaller than the big chain stores but has everything I want at fair prices. It has the smaller town feel to it. It has cashiers or self check out. Always busy but you get through quick.

Love the pharmacy. With 5 refills, you get 20%off your groceries. I love that they pre-fill my prescriptions. Produce is fresh. Bakery has a large selection. Meat department always looks appealing.

Tom Thumb was set to close at 7pm on 12/24/23. Tried walking in for some milk at 6:45pm and was told by employee "Brayden" outside the front entrance we were not allowed in as he was directed by the manager to not let anyone else in and also confirmed Tom Thumb was not closed until 7pm. We saw several people before us get turned away also and then a couple other people talk to him and just walk in past him and he did nothing. This is horrible management. The manager is refusing customers for at least 15 minutes before closing. I get it's Christmas eve but if Tom Thumb wants everyone out by 7pm, then make closing time 6:30p or 6:45p. Of course the employee could have been just not letting people in without actual management direction, at which he should be reprimanded.

Very disappointing when you go to Register 3 and it's young girls that would rather stand and talk to each other than work. Was buying one of the Christmas trees they didn't know how to ring it up no problem. The girls then asked if there was a tag on the tree I said yes there was the huffing I don't want to go outside so Instead of arguing with a child I just went and got the tag while my wife and child stood in line and she started helping people like they weren't even there!!! Do better these young Generations are lazy if they don't want to work get rid of them. Picking up medicine is a joke, when asking about your medicine they act like it's not in the system , haing to tell them your medicine was sent over earlier that morning. Then omg all the sudden its found but yet you have to wait. Same with a refill put in a refill request yesterday said would be ready this morning well here it is at 530pm and still waiting for them to fill medicine!! And the bathroom wth does anyone not know how to clean bathrooms anymore

A great place to shop for an outsider from out of town. Prices are a little more than what I'm used to, but it was very convenient, employee saw me standing in line waiting to be checked out, and offered to open another line to get us customers out the door quicker. The produce section was my favorite.

Hello my name is dan, I am a service connected dis abled veteran, had VA Tele nurse, send me to absolutely urgent care gainesville tx, have bad covid can barely breath, va said have them call it in to Yom thumb gainesville tx, to thumb said they can not fill it for free. Absolute said they can do nothing, I have been to these places many times, if I die I'm the next few days for medicine, tomb thumb and Absolute need to be held accountable for my death, would yall see to it please. , go America

Best produce. Butcher, deli and bakery counters are amazing. Checkout staff and customer service desk are very helpful. Only interaction with the pharmacy was to get a vaccine but they were friendly and helpful too. 10/10 across the board. I've never had a bad experience there!

Had to get some water so was in and out. The store looks run down honestly. They had so many beautiful plants outside. From what I saw they didn’t really have much to select from. Selves seemed a bit empty. Also they don’t have much formula here for all the moms that are looking for that! The staff was nice. Probably won’t come here again though.

I have always liked this store, very friendly, and has everything you need or want in a local grocery store. What set this one apart is the butcher shop, flower shop and I love that they have total meal you can pick up take home and cook! Great place to shop!

I went to the Gainesville store to purchase WIC items for my daughter that wasn't able to come as her baby is in the NICU and she is with her. Rachel, Laura, and Michelle went above and beyond to help me. It was quite a deal and they were gracious and very supportive. Not the kind of service I would have gotten at the bigger stores....i.e. walmart). I am beyond grateful and so glad I chose to go there. They were so kind!

This self check stuff is a joke!. There were NO checkers/cashiers in the store this evening at 630pm. It wasn't until one I'd the 16 of us in line to use the self check lines complained that they pulled some kid up from the recesses of the back and ge begrudgingly trudged to the check out to check some of us out. I counted 16 people in line to check ourselves out I had $238 worth of groceries. There is no place to place any of that at a self check to check myself out. It's impractical and quite honestly a royal pain to do. The prices of food continue to climb and now I'm forced to check myself out at yet another big box store. This has been the most ridiculous 30min wait to check out groceries I've spent in my lifetime. This store used to have the best customer service and pride in their store and community and value their patrons. Those days are gone.

1: I ordered a cake. It was dry and had ice in the middle of the cake where the 3 milk was supposed to be2: got ignored by multiple staff members when I was at self checkout and needed assistance. Finally got help to only get ignored while he spoke with a customer friend next to the register I was at. I will continue to give my business somewhere else.

This place is so extremely expensive It's ridiculous! I don't understand how two different grocery stores could be that drastically different in their prices! Like $12 for 12 pack of soda? What are y'all doing? It's disgusting how you're ripping people off! I think this store should be ashamed of themselves! Food is a necessity meaning people need it to live so why price it so extremely high? Let me guess because your owners are greedy and just have to make that much of a profit correct? That is the only reason possible which is heartbreaking and flat out ridiculous!

Love that it has Starbucks inside. Courteous cashiers, variety of fresh delicious foods. Meet and Dairy are very reasonable. They have excellent sales, weekly, and a virtual club card, that has amazing discounts.Clean inside and out in parking lot best time to go is early in the a.m.

Always clean, well stocked and organized. Knowledgeable employees, who can find anything in the store. Deli is always perfect. The Triple chocolate mousse cake from the bakery is to die for.They definitely have the best Pharmacy Staff!!!

Love the service i get at Tom Thumb. Cashiers are really helpful and cheerful. Not wild about the prescription refill service. Go there nearly daily. Selection is expanding. Self checkout generally speeds things up. Variety has gotten better.

Yesterday I went to Tom Thumb and was waited on at the Deli by the sweetest guy ever!His name is Curtis and he went above and beyond to make sure that I got everything I asked for.He did the cuts on the meat and cheese perfectly and he was so friendly and smiling the whole time. He even weighed it properly and was very efficient.We engaged in a small conversation and then I went about by business but was very touched by that small town grocery store charm.Sets Tom Thumb apart for sure!It warmed my heart and I just had to share it here.Thanks Curtis! You rock. Keep putting out those good vibes and being your wonderful self.I had to make sure to check his name tag so that I could post. ♡♡♡

Typically I like supporting any store other than Wally world. But I've had my limit with this tom thumb. High prices. Poorly stocked shelves. And today there was NO CASHIERS. 2 weeks ago they took out the first 2 checkout lanes and installed the wallyworld styled self check out. I wouldn't mind this BUT they also raised their prices!! When I asked the older lady standing babysitting the 6 self checks if there were any cashiers lanes open she was curt, sarcastic, and somewhat rude looked around and said looks like I'm it. IF I'm going to pay higher prices I refuse to do the cashiering myself. What I wanted was almost $6ea for a frozen food whereas dollar store and wallyworld has it for $3-$3.50. Snack items were $4-5ea where dollar store and wallyworld had them for $2-3ea. This will be my last trip there. Hurry up and close down.

2 cashiers an employee in line and a courtesy clerk, all at the checkstand I'm in, and as much as I appreciate banter between employees, no hello no goodbye, not one word,wasn't even given my receipt or told my total, too busy talking I suppose. Remember that little thing called customer service. Congratulations, off to walmart to change over all 16 scripts and be done with tom thumb. Pharmacy was my only reason to still shop at this store,they are the best. But if I want to be ignored, I can just go to Walmart.Goodbye

Tom Thumb 👍 has been one of my favorite grocers since I was a small child who just moved into town out of Houston. The bakery is and always has been one of my favorite places in the store, they have some of the best desserts I've had other than the Grant Villa at Winstar Casino's in Oklahoma

I went to this store in the past because youdidn't have self-checkout. Now it takes twice as long to get my groceries to the car. Tell the manager that this doesn't help the customers a to all. We all hate self checkout. For example I had enough time in this line to write this review. I'm literally waiting to get checked out. This is not progress

I had bought a $100 eBay cardSadly they hadn't registered it correctly making it not active that's okay mistakes happen I understand that.When I went back with my receipts and told them I was having this issue I was told to contact eBay understandable.But when I contacted eBay and was told that the card wasn't even registered to the server meaning that the card had never been activated.I went back to tell them this I even had the eBay service person on the phone someone at the service counter for returns and refunds continuously interrupted the associate on the phone.She continuously said that it was their fault for the mistake even though the dude was telling them that they couldn't even get the card up because it had never been activated.Not only that but then I was told by the manager and her that since I had already paid they weren't going to even try to help me because they had the money from me already.So not only was she extremely rude and treated me very poorly but she refused to let the associate over the phone explain the situation correctly she continuously interrupted me and him repeatedly over and over telling us we were wrong without even letting us explain the situation.

I really enjoy this store. I like that it still has the small town feel. Reminds me of being a kid. My only complaint is the parking lot though it did not impact my star rating. Clean store that seems to be ran very well.
