we looked a lot of places to find the right dog for our family and we struck gold here at Noah's Ark. we saw him friday evening and decided to drive up the next morning to meet him and now "dodge" has been adopted, re-named knox and he is now in a very loving home! we are so happy to have him and love him already! all the staff we dealt with were very friendly and easy to talk to, wouldn't hesitate to adopt from here again or recommend them to others!

I adopted “Frankie” now JellyBean back in April & she’s been my best-friend / road dawg since. the adoption process was very smooth. I was able to walk in meet with jellybean and adopt her same day . The receptionist told me about all of my options when it came down to a vet and etc . 10/10 recommend !

About a month ago I took my son here to get a puppy. We opted for a dog a little older (2years) because my son just absolutely fell in love with him. The staff was super nice.Just in case the staff sees this I wanted to say, Jaxon is warming up nicely, he was terrified the first few weeks but with lots of treats and a whole ton of patience we have built a bond. He has learned to sit and instead of running away from us when we get home, he greets us with a wagging tail and lots of kisses.

This poor place smelled horrible and the dog kennels were tiny and completely concrete. Some animals did not have water. Heart broken for the overcrowding of unwanted animals.

I had the most amazing time at Noa's Ark Alpaca Farm in Georgia! Seriously, it's like a cozy paradise. The alpacas are the cutest things ever, and you can even feed them. The whole experience is so hands-on and fun. Plus, the staff is super friendly and knows everything about these fluffy creatures. If you're up for something unique and adorable, this farm is an absolute must-visit!

Little bit out of the way, but a great place to come look for an animal to rescue in Gainesville. They welcome people coming in just to spend time with the animals.Since my first review, we have adopted a kitten as an ESA Service Animal. She is an Egyptian Mau and British Shorthair mix. We named Cleopatra or Clea for short.

This place smells horrible. I couldn’t even look at any dogs as the smell was overwhelming. It’s not the first time I’ve tried going in this has been happening a couple of years

Wonderful place! I stopped by with my daughter to kill some time before heading back to San Antonio. The shelter was full 😕. However, we found the perfect addition to our family! We fell in love with "Prince" who has since been renamed Ranger. The adoption was quick and easy. Would have loved to have taken them all, but Ranger stole our hearts ♥️

Very nice selection of cats and the way they have rooms for the cats to mingle is just great. My daughter did adopt a cat. I would go here again

I cannot believe the way I got treated from a worker here named Rylie. My dog had recently passed away in my house, So i called 24 hour vet clinics, animal hospitals, anything that was open because he passed around 11pm. (i don’t have money for a cremation or burial & i cannot bury him because i rent) Nobody was able to dispose of his body so i called the non emergent police line, and they said to call Noah’s ark as soon as they open. So i did, explained my situation crying on the phone, and this girl LAUGHED at me. LAUGHED at the fact that i had no idea what to do and left me on hold for about 10 minutes after i asked her if she seriously just laughed at me. Do not ever come here if you want to be taken seriously, or you are okay with zero empathy when your pet passes away.

I recently had the opportunity to work here for a short time. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. They work hard to ensure the animals have a safe, clean place while they’re waiting for their forever homes. There are limited resources, so if you can adopt or donate please do. It will be a blessing to you as much as it is to the animals.

We adopted a young cat from here who had a URI we were unaware of at the time of adoption and she gave it to our 3 other cats. We are now $700 deep in vet bills and having to syringe 2 of our cats food, fluids, and antibiotics. One is so severe, we are afraid we might lose her.We appreciate what they do for animals and I understand they might not have the funds to properly and thoroughly vet every adoptable, but we probably won’t adopt from them again. 😞

My dog got out of the backyard & wandered off. He was taken to Noah's Ark. When I called looking for him they had him & I went to pick him up. They were very friendly, all employees there were familiar with him and had caring, loving attitudes toward him. They gave him back to me and didn't charge me a thing even though they'd taken care of him a little while before I got there. I highly recommend them to everyone. Please donate & look there if you want to adopt a pet. They're great! 👍🐕

I feel the director is unfair as I sincerely tried to adopt a kitten that I felt was going to be a help with my PTSD f t om 2 tours in VietNam but at 77 yrs old I have come to suspect lack of self respect.

not very friendly staff at all. loved the animals but the lady at the front desk had a horrible attitude. we called and told them we were coming to look at a specific dog and they did not tell us any information that was told to us when we got there after driving an hour to get there. we were told we have to bring the dogs we have at home in to meet her and we weren’t informed on that when we called ahead. very inconvenient and not very good communication at all.

We were the first ones to call about a dog, I told them we had an hour and a half drive and would be there on Saturday. They were supposed to call if someone else showed up and I didn’t get that call. Drove out there, they told us that he had gotten neutered and we couldn’t see him. They had us come out another day when the dog had already been adopted the first time we came out. Then they ended up severely lying to us about another dog so we would adopt him. They said our vet checked him out he’s fine about 5 years old bs bs bs. I took him to my vet here, yea we just adopted a senior dog, with medical problems that’s gonna cost a lot of money. These people either don’t know what they’re doing or they severely lie to people to get them to adopt. There’s other things that happened with these people but I don’t wanna make this post really long. I would not trust what they say. Adopt at your own risk. Not trustworthy.Update: The dog we got from this place we named Cash. We gave him the best home I think he’s ever had. Spoiled him rotten. This shelter had him for a month and he looked so underweight. The vet said he was about 10-15 lbs underweight. I had him back to normal weight within 3 weeks. After about $6000, cash went into organ failure in my kitchen and I had to make the decision to let him go. It completely devastated my family. I would suggest you guys either close or get people in there that know what they’re doing. This should have never happened.

They have a peculiar way of doing things. We were looking for a kitten and they had 2. They insist on sanitizing your hands between touching any animal, yet the cats/kittens are allowed to be together (as in housed in the same pen). You also have to step in a cleaning solution prior to walking into the adult cat room. Wouldn't it make more sense to clean your shoes before coming inside at all. Want to take that little kitten home today, nope no can do. All kittens must have been spayed prior to them leaving. So if your wanting to take a small kitten home, you will have to wait till its big enough to be spayed. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the place is clean and well organized.

I love these wonderful people! I have adopted two lit girls from them over the years. The most recent Violet. She is a mix small dog. They chip and spay or nuter them b/4 they can be adopted. I first adopted Lacy back in 2009 when I lost her to heart attack. I was heart broken. They had only had her there a day when I adopted her she had been abused and was so fearful. After a lot of medical and dental work she came out of her shell and for the two years she lived she brought such Joy to our lives. I thank Noah's ark for being there for these sweet animals. I wish I could post their pictures with this.

Great shelter that really cares! We ended up having to drop off a stray momma dog and her 10 puppies she had a few weeks ago at our house. They took them in and I'm certain they'll find them good homes. You can even get updates on Facebook!

I am very frustrated with this shelter. We called in advance to the shelter to tell them that we were on our way to adopt a certain dog. We told them that we lived an hour and a half away and that we were in the car. When we arrived they informed us that the dog had already been adopted 30 mins after we had called. They said they do not reserve animals, but that was just rude! They did not even attempt to get in contact with us after it was adopted. Will never use this shelter again!

Awesome staff, and if you need some love in your life stop by and get a dog or cat preferably a dog. If you don't feel better afterwards you need therapy.

Wonderful work being done here! These animals are receiving tender loving care by the staff. They do their very best to place every animal in the best possible home and work with rescue groups.
