First time customers. It's a great atmosphere, right on the boat docks. The chicken fried steak, shrimp salad, blackened red snapper were a delicious choice and generous portions.Fast service, well prepared entrees. We happened to go on Wine Wednesday, the wine bottles were half off. One of our friends ordered a couple of Bloody Marys which he said were very good. Our waitress was good about checking back.On a nicer day, we would enjoy the outdoor seating by the docks, it's just part of this very nice venue.We'll definitely plan on going back and will highly recommend it.

The place is on the water which is nice. We were seated on the patio. They should pipe music out there for a better ambiance. There was music played inside, and it made a difference in the atmosphere. The food was good, which really redeemed this place overall. I had a margarita, and it was way too sweet. It tasted like a mix out of a bottle. They were out of many things, but we managed to find other things we liked. Our server was great.

I had a 5 star review on here but this place has gone down hill lately. I’m not one to bash a food place but we go to Moon Dogs about once every few weeks and we always order the large brisket nachos because if you have been there you know how HUGE the plate is. Today we went around 12 and there wasn’t 1 car in the drive. I have seen a lot of bad reviews about them lately so i said well i haven’t been disappointed yet so we went in to eat. Ordered our usual brisket nacho and crawfish queso. You can tell by the picture that plate is NOT the normal $28 dollar brisket nacho plate that’s the smaller order. The manager /waitress said she talked to the kitchen and that’s the only size platter they have and nothing bigger. So needless to say we won’t be going back anymore either.

The view was very nice but the food was mediocre at best. Chicken fried steak and NO gravy… they were out! Catch of the day had a good flavor if you like fish lukewarm. Service was poor because they only had a few servers. It was the end of their day and if they had said we only have X…Y…Z left we would have been happy to order from a limited menu. The price of the food was ridiculous. After all of that several of us woke up to very unpleasant stomach issues. Definitely will not be back.

Ordered steak special. Was informed they were out of specials. Asked for chicken fried steak and baked potato loaded. Order came out steak was fried like leather no gravy. Was informed they were out of gravy. My loaded potato had cheese and butter only. Was informed they were out of bacon and chives. My wife got blacken grouper that was over cooked. Will never go back . If I could give 0 stars that would be a generous rating!

Came in here on a whim and we were not disappointed. Service from Rachel was excellent and the food was great. I had a starter size "Ribbers" and the Mrs had shrimp in a sauce with bread. A side of fries between us and a couple of cokes and we were good. Sat inside but finished off with our cokes out on the terrace. It overlooks the ocean and was fabulous. All in around $50 Highly recommended.

Had a great time at Moondog, then again we always do! The food is very good and reasonably priced for the portions you get.The best place to sit is at the bar with the fabulous Brittany, or just beyond that on the outside deck.

Took my sugar daddy here for his birthday. There are so many places to sit and enjoy. Inside and outside seats. The food, service and atmosphere is great here. I really loved the look of the place, gives you a seaside tavern type feel. We will be back. My sugar daddy enjoyed his time too. 😋Emily our waitress was super polite and attentive to our needs.

Great seaside bar. Drinks were slow. Appetizers came after we finished drinks but we're worth the wait. Tortilla chips and crawfish dip were yummy. Peel and eat shrimp were extra large, fresh and wonderful.Parking: Tight when busy.

I went early this afternoon for supper. Service was friendly. I ordered the catch of the day which was grouper with big shrimp. It was so good. The shrimp was very tender and the fish very flaky. I had a side of Brussels sprouts and a side of fried okra. The okra could have cooked just a bit longer. The sprouts were fantastic! The atmosphere was fun. Sit outside on the patio. I wish I had.My husband ordered a cheeseburger which he said had lots of flavor with a side of loaded baked potato.

We’ve been here three times. There are good and bad. We’ve had Blanca as a server twice and she’s great, very friendly and responsive. Food is usually pretty good. Location is top notch, right on the water with indoor and outside seating, could be a home run. Only thing we don’t care for is the cats roaming around. For the record, I love cats, have three of em. But there is something off putting having them around even though they aren’t particularly invasive, they have some manners. Overall I say give it a shot

OMG this place is seriously good. We had the pepper shrimp appetizer - which has the best sauce EVER. Hubby had the seafood array (fried) and said the fried oysters were amazing. I had the blackened catch of day … amazing too.Server was attentive.We sat inside because it was super windy.

We were seated at the covered patio. Some lovely people were allowed outside to smoke, which was like 2 ft from our table. So there's that. Our waitress brought food and our ticket. Never asked if we needed refills or anything. My chicken burger was way over cooked yet cold. My daughters black/blue burger was cold and served on a dirty plate.

Food was just ok. Server was quite nice. Bartender sucked. Issue we had was that my wife had a mixed drink with dinner (Bay Breeze) and specifically asked for mostly cranberry juice. When it came with very little cranberry, was told that the bartender said that she would charge us if we wanted any more cranberry juice. I think the waiter was embarrassed to even mention this to us. Have never been told we'd be charged for adding more cranberry juice to a mixed drink to get it right.

Atmosphe and view was great. Large portions of mediocre food. My wife did not care for her brisket and my chicken fried steak had little flavor. The Best thing on my plate was the baked potato. Worst of all was the service, but I think that was just our server. Other tables seemed to receive very attentive service. We rarely saw our server, Rachel, and I overtired her at 10%. Would not go back.

The food was terrible. Way overpriced! I hate to leave a bad review, but this place was a waste of money. Definitely will not be coming back! The cooks don't believe in seasoning.Our service was great tho! We did leave a good tip to the waitress. She was really sweet.

Stopped in here for dinner our last night in town. It was a warm, muggy night, so we opted to eat inside rather than the deck. Big mistake, it smelled of old mildew! After our waitress Andrea brought our drinks we asked if we could move outside, she was so pleasant, told us to sit wherever we wanted and she'd find us!I had the seared tuna w/ black pepper and Brussel sprouts....sprouts were outstanding, the tuna seared perfectly but the black pepper was overwhelming..I had to scrap most off but was still very good 👍.Hubby had the brisket tacos, he said they were OK , nothing special...I would come back to try other dinners but would not sit inside.

Food poisoning! I got food poisoning from their raw oysters. It was the first time I’ve eaten raw oysters and I found one in particular had an odd taste. Not knowing what to expect, and not wanting to ruin my first attempt at eating them, I paid it no mind. I’m now paying for that mistake. Moondog, please please please check your stock now before someone else gets sick.The waitstaff were very kind and friendly. I honestly hate having to leave them a bad review.

The wait, food and price was not. We went here for my friend’s birthday and left disappointed and hungry. When we finally received our food it was just warm and not cooked how requested. My friend didn’t eat his steak as it was undercooked. My husband’s fish was hard and not the type of fish it was said to be(he is a chef). We told our server he didn’t like it and she said he could order something different but would have to still pay for the one he didn’t eat. It took an extra 15 minutes to get my daughter’s chicken nuggets because the kitchen forgot them. I don’t mind paying $100 for a good meal however the food was just not good and not worth it. Do NOT RECOMMEND.

This is our second time here. The first time was in May & was a great experience. This time around fell short of acceptable. The food was poor quality . The “Texas size shrimp” was not Texas sized, I asked for well done crispy fries and our server said “ they cook all the fries together so that’s to much to ask” the brisket quesadillas were 90% fat 10% meat. We will not come here again or recommend this place to anyone.

1st time here. Parking lot was half full, Friday around 4pm. We were seated right away. We chose outdoor seating which was comfortable. We started with margaritas which were AWESOME! We had shrimp for appetizers, tasty. I had more shrimp, blackened, as my main course. They were delicious. The sides could have been better. My baked potato was almost cold, okra was barely warm. My friend ordered brisket and bratwurst. He said it was good and filling, he left half of it. All in all, it was pretty good but definitely room for improvement. Our waitress was a little dry. She wasn't rude but very short and to the point, no conversation and not sociable with a fake smile. The ambience was ok. No music in the background, just the natural waves against the dock. I would probably come back but would have higher expectations if I was to make this place a regular stop.

Pretty view outside!Service was a bit slow. I ordered the chicken brie sandwich and that by itself was 5 stars!My husband got the black and blue burger which was just ok. He asked for no mushrooms but they were still on there. Kids meals were your typical pile of fried foods.

First off I'm not a basher and usually don't focus on the negative, but the lack of concern from the staff impacted the experience. So for the good; my beer was cold and the calamari was tender with light coating.To the bad; Our appetizers (raw oysters) we're the lowest quality oysters and should not have been served. They should have been embarrassed to serve these as they were about the size of a nickle or quarter. To top it off when brought to the servers attention he was totally frazzled and came back saying the manager (Andrea) said nothing she could do about the $26 cost as we "accepted" them to out table from the server! First time I've ever heard that reasoning. Service; Probably only 8-10 people sitting on the deck. Our waiter had a total of 5 people which included us and couldn't seem to get a second beer after 20 minutes. I'm an animal lover, but I really didn't care for the cats walking around eating leftovers. To top it off, this weekend is the oyster festival in Fulton! I sure hope they step it up for this crowd.
