We have 2 Dollar stores in Freeport, luckily. The older store does have a long line at times i.e.after school lets out but the staff is on top of security for sure. Most of the staff is courteous, well informed in product layout and polite if not overly friendly. They're constantly stocking their shelves and the store has undergone a facelift. The older store seriously needs a larger building as I bet it probably has more customers only due to the location. Their prices have been raised but what stores haven't due to current economy. They're open on time M-S 8:00-10:00. There's plenty of parking. They offer a variety of name brand & store brand products from wine to batteries to craft supplies. My first choice for the items we need every other day or items missed while restocking the kitchen on a large scale.

There’s a white lady working here has a very bad attitude. Please have more happy people working here. By her attitude it just throws customers away. Bad service

We (hubby & I) ran in to get a few items for a relative in the hospital. Easy to find in the health & beauty section. Also saw a couple of other items we needed. At checkout, there was no line. The cashier was very friendly and conversational. Store was well stocked, tho a little messy.

We shop this store regularly and even though its usually busy they are very friendly and helpful. if you need help finding something or a price you don't get the "eyeroll" or the "ugh" or the "breath let out" like you're bothering them by making them work and do the job they're getting paid to do..

I like the Dollar General by my house and a couple of others but this one was out of the ordinary. It was located on a corner of a busy intersection and it had limited parking in a small space. When we walked into the DG it was like walking in a hordes house. Hardly any room in the isles from all the items packed up on the shelves where some had felt off. I think either someone doesn't know how to take inventory or they don't have many customers. The food was to old and not eatable.

its typical lol. but in my opinion this dollar store is the most un organized, and not as neat. like its not dirty dirty, but compared to the other DG stores in the area, it could be a bit more tidy

The cashier always ask if we want to donate our change and we always do....but when we went a couple of weeks ago the change was only 17 cents and she didn't ask....but if the change is over 50 cents we noticed she'll ask but if not she won't ask....makes me wonder is she keeping the change for herself....and she always just throws it on the counter and never puts in the donation despencer....ijs

Very dirty, no toilet paper in the bathroom (not cool w small children). The play area was ok, but also pretty dirty. Bring some sanitizer. Food was ok, typical Mc Donalds food.

I do a lot of shopping there. They have problems with their HVAC quite frequently. The cashiers are quick and frirndly. Selection and pricing is good.

We go in here to pick up odds and ends and they don't have a long wait in line and a variety to choose from !!! Thank you Dollar general for being a long time local, cannot wait to shop at your sister store at new location coming soon across at Brazosport high school :)

Me and the 6 kids go here all the time love the store but the $ dont be right go check out other then that love the store said $1.70 but really $2.00

There's one particular female cashier that has left an item or two out of my shopping bag. One time it was Chap-Stick the other time it was vitamins. Maybe not a big deal but I swear that cashier must have a shrine of "lifted" items at home. Oh yeah....the store smells like dookie.

Only 1 cashier as usual, and the line had 11 people in it and cashier was so slow and she could of called for the other cashier to help get the line down but she didn't! And this is all the time

The woman that was working was too busy on the phone and cussing on the phone and laughing as if she was at home rather than helping a paying customers and then she didn't even get half my order right so it was a very horrible experience

The employees are rude and apparently weren't happy to be there. How do you get storage totes in without lids???
