Stopped in for wine tasting at wild seed farms and it far exceeded any expectations. Wild Seed Farms went beyond the perfect wine tasting setting which is very intimate, formal wine room. See the picture below with a great list of wines for tasting. You also have the experience of walking the farms and seeing all of the wonderful flowers, butterfly fields and just beautiful scenery set here at this very quaint, but sophisticated establishment. This is a must stop for anyone touring the fredericksburg area looking for a great wine tasting experience with so much more. They have a large in store retail center selling everything from yard art, seeds, flowers, plants and artwork. And on just a closing note thier wine was pretty good too. 5 stars and a round of applause 👏 🙌.

Super cute spot! We can on a Monday morning on the way out of town. We walked through all of the wild flowers and left with some seeds we’re excited to plant. I’d come back for the wine! I asked if they sold their seeds in the DFW area and they only ship unfortunately.

4/5/2024This is my kind of place. They had a lot of nice things to look at. It was a beautiful day to walk around the farm. There were a lot of people here and the staff was friendly. I didn't buy anything though because the prices were more than I wanted to pay.Four stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

It was a little small but super cute! The walking paths are all gravel so be careful. It had some cute photo opportunities. The shops are full of interesting stuff and the people were nice. The plant shop was my favorite! It's a great place to grab some family photos for free.

Fields and fields and fields of poppies! Such a delightful place to stop if you are wine touring or antiquing around Johnson City and Fredericksburg! Just seeing it from the road will take your breathe away. They have beautiful walking trails, a lovely store, and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Always a wonderful place to visit in the Spring! My family and I have been going here since they opened in 1997 and it never disappoints. Beautiful flowers, gardens, gifts, and now a winery! It's the perfect day trip to escape the crowds in Austin and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Absolutely amazing! It is so beautiful here, the beauty takes your breath away! Fields of wildflowers, poppys, bluebonnets, wild verbenia, so many wonderful plants to see and buy. Tons of seeds ready to be planted, jarred asparagus, jams, pickles, you make it the make it and have it. You must go and see this amazing place. Thank you Wild Seed Farms❤️

Love this place!! Me and a group of friends came here for a bachelorette party and had such a wonderful time. There’s so much to do here, I feel like there’s something for everyone.We did a guided sweet wine tasting and all the pours were so good, highly recommend the sangrias. The pretzels and charcuterie board were yummy and paired perfectly. Sean was our waiter and was so attentive and accommodating when we wanted to take home some bottles after we walked the trail. The wine tasting room is gorgeous, very inviting and the live music was such a vibe too.The wildflower trail is lovely! We came in late March and the blooms were stunning. Great for pictures and to just take in the nature.Thank you Wildseed Farms for making our visit so memorable!P.S. Co-signing the other reviews saying to get the peach ice cream 😋

I came for seeds and ended up wine tasting!!! Needless to say I killed two birds with one stone. Beautiful plants and very tasty wine. Hated the live music. Please consider finding someone else that was a mood killer. Every thing else was great!

Did a wine tasting. Service was (5 star) wonderful!!! However, the majority of wines were not to our favorites (why rated it a 4 star). The sangrias were good (both white and red)!!! We purchased the red to take home. 😀🍷The flowers were pretty.

This was such a great place to visit. So many cool things to buy and so many seeds to try and grow yourself. We loved that we could walk to the butterfly section and enjoy the butterfly, flowers, bees, and the humming birds. We also did the sweet wine test which cost 15 for 4 tastings. The place was very nice and the lady serving us really gave us a good amount of info about she was serving us. This is a great place to take the kids and let them get a little tired running around. Will definitely be coming back.

A wonderful place to visit, they have live music and the ambiance is really good.Do try the wine tasting there, and meet Marla, who's the attendee she will help you with various information as well regarding various types of wines. She is a really sweetheart 💕 10 on 10 to her.Its vintage style and decor are with the help of a barrel.The farm has a huge range of wild flowers and various types of butterflies 🦋 and planting decor and equipment.Even try peach ice cream 🍦 it's delicious 😋

This place is truly enchanting. I highly recommend visiting this place with lot of butterflies and it's an awe-inspiring sight. There are plenty of activities to engage in, making it an ideal destination for a memorable family day.Additionally, I must mention the delightful cone ice cream they offer, specifically the vanilla and peach flavors. It is a scrumptious combination that will surely satisfy your sweet tooth. Furthermore, their vegetable salad is perfect—fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavors. It's a refreshing option that complements the ice cream beautifully.

We have been visiting Wildseed Farm for at least the past 5 years now. It never disappoints. Our granddaughter loves the 🦋 garden and all the yard art and spinners. Their snacks and sandwiches are delicious and the variety at the gift shop is awesome. I always find something unique. They have added a wine tasting room but we have not had the opportunity to attend those events. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and the grounds are clean and neat. Lots of parking. Oh yeah, you can purchase plants for your 🏡 garden.

👍 This is a beautiful wildflower farm. Visitors can walk along a rocky trail to see fields of wildflowers, especially the red poppies.👍 Spring is a great time to visit because Bluebonnets (state flower of Texas) and Indian Paintbrushes are in full bloom.👍 The store has a variety of wildflower seeds, which can be purchased in small packets or by the pound. I even saw huge sacks of bluebonnet seeds!🤜 Since this is a tourist attraction, be prepared to spend a premium for those seeds.

Absolutely amazing place! It has a very unique charm about it, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery is unbeatable. Stunning. This was our first experience at a winery and it was perfect. Will definitely come back again.

Wild seed winery was beautiful and a menagerie of gardening treasures! Kurt, the bartender was amazing and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the wines. The wine tasting was delicious and the goat cheese tray was yummy. The live entertainment was beautiful too. My only complaint is that I was skipped over and denied seating with my small service dog. I was told if I wanted the wine tasting I had to stand at the bar. Meanwhile there was seating available.

Simply a magical place. Do yourself a favor, and go in late September, to early October when the Monarch butterflies flock to their gardens. Its a breathtaking spectacle to behold. Lots to do there, great place for a family day. Food is a bit lackluster and pricey, but a nice option. Wine bar is a lot of fun, and the grounds are wonderful.

Great peach ice cream!!! We walked the butterfly path. Met one of the local cats that lives there it came to see us so we could pet it. Nice shop sells wildflower seeds, local salsa, wine, and stuff

Beautiful gardens! The poppies were in bloom when we visited and it was gorgeous!! I would love to come back for the bluebonnet season. Definitely recommend stopping in our your next visit to Fredericksburg!

We stopped here for the flower gardens. Did not realize you needed reservations for wine tasting, but they let us order a glass to walk around with. Very nice butterfly garden. Never figured out what the grapefruit colored bell vine wa, would love that planted on my fence line. We had a nice walk around, then sat in the shade for a little while.

Excellent wild flower destination. Very beautiful, and I didn’t even come during full bloom! They have walking pathways that are well walked and easy for kiddos or anyone who needs assistance. I only wish I could have walked around the fields themselves! They are also a great nursery and have a wonderful wildflower seed section. Plan on going again!

This place is great for a trip, or a date location, filled with things to look at, smell, buy or eat/drink!I loved their dry wine tasting, and brought home a bottle and a wine glass, along with some seeds to spread inspiration from. If you go, plan to leave happy, and fulfilled with a smile on your face; and this comes from the service level and ezperience overall.

Visited during our tour of the Hill Country. There's a terrific selection of plants and wildflower seeds. For the latter, there are regional blends and guidance on planting times. Bought a blend, and we'll see how it goes. They also have the essentials (ice cream and wine) if you need a break.

Overall:This place was such a neat experience! We started by shopping for herbs and lily's. The variety was just beautiful. We saw they had grape stomping, ice cream and a beer garden.-Wine tasting:We went to the wine tasting room, we did wine tasting for one, since my partner doesn't really like wine. our waitress was wonderful! She knew about her wines and when we mentioned sweet wines were our favorite she brought us a taste of the sangria! It was so good even my partner liked it, we bought a bottle. It was a neat experience and the music was nice.-Gift shop:We went to their gift shop where they had such cute items for sale. We ended up buying some seeds for the garden. Beautiful place. Highly recommend for any plant lovers, flower lovers, wine lovers! I wish I took more pictures all the most beautiful spots I was caught up in and forgot to take photos.
