What a great place!!!! We went with my 5 year old daughter and it was so much fun. We did the safari, went on lemur island and fed the giraffes. I would have never imagined to pet a zebra before or to hold a lemur. There is so much to see and way better than a normal zoo where you can only look at animals in a cage. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. We did the safari in the morning an saw a lot of animals and they all came to our car. We did a second safari tour in the afternoon but noticed not all the animals came. They were probably full lol. So if you go do the safari before lunch.

This place is so cool! We came for a school field trip and it was definitely an experience. We got to see and feed so many animals and the caretakers are all so knowledgeable about the animals they care for.Super excited for the upcoming splash pad and lazy river they are building!

I felt it is okay place, may be because I visited better ones in other states.Price is decent. But they can improve on fews things.1) Nice arrow/sign mark in the trail2) milestones (at mid point and 3/4th of loop)3) soap dispenser for each sink in the bathroom4) too much stones in the parking/drivewayI felt $5 for 1 feed bucket is pricy. (Cheerokee drive thru gives one for free with their $20 admission). But I am also inclined towards "good spending" for those animals and overall look/appearance.If they improve the appearance, amenities, then this is a good alternative to other safaris in TexasI wish they have some picnic tables for familiesI felt, the entire place needs a revamp !!

It was a great way to spend 90 minutes . I highly recommend you buy several buckets of food and treats for the animals in the gift shop . I loved how the animals approached the car to be hand - fed . Most of them were very tame and gentle. The emus had an attitude though and got a bit aggressive about sticking their heads into the car window and trying to grab the bucket out of our hands . The young , male reindeer was the sweetest thing and loved to be petted and rubbed almost as much as he loved being fed . Feeding the giraffes was the highlight for me . I had never been that close to one. We were literally eyeball to eyeball . Loved it and this place .

I have mixed thoughts for this safari drive thru. I love seeing and feeding the animals. We drove around twice because we ran out of food on our first round, We had so much fun feeding and petting the animals. On the flip side, I question if this is a good place for the animals. On my previous visit, we saw a car drive over the hoof of a cow. This last visit, we saw several animals limping and a few animals with open sores. Selfishly, I love interacting with the animals, but are the animals treated properly? I don't know.

This is my family second time visiting here. First time was in 2020. They’ve expanded since. Each time has been amazing! Love this zoo and highly recommend the tour guide! Very informative and really nice people! We got there on a Sunday kinda late around 3:30pm and they were very welcoming as always and we were still able to experience and enjoy the zoo to its full effect. This zoo is worth every penny!!

We have traveled to many drive-thru safari places.... but this one was just so awesome. You can see all the animals up close and even interact with the lemurs... take the boat ride to Lemur Island. Pet them and play with them. There is a baby room to interact with baby lemurs, hairy armadillos, goats, ferret, and more....The price is incredible. We stayed at the safari for at least 5 hours repeating the aminals... Get our and go do this!!

This is an easy day trip from Houston or even closer from College Station. There are a ton of animals where you are up close and personal.Definitely buy the buckets of food for the driving tour. The only downside for me was that one monkey looked lonely. Be sure to visit him at the gift shop.

Loved this place it was one of the best drive thru safaris we have ever been to. All kinds of animals... The baby center wasn't open but man feeding all the animals and the monkeys and giraffes was a blast... The animals didn't seem like they moved out of the way but they did it u kept a steady slow speed... The ostriches and emus always freak me out but the character on these animals is unforgettable... I will return all the time I come to Franklin. Food for the animals wasn't too much but always recommend getting more

This is the most amazing place. Please go visit. The animals are sweet and lovely. Make sure you purchase many buckets of food to feed all the animals. They are friendly and hungry and you should buy enough to feed all the animals from start to finish - you will be sorry if you don't. It's so much more fun when you can experience feeding all these animals from your car. And they are so beautiful and lovely. Thank you for taking care of these lovely animals - Franklin Drive Thru Safari. Also buy enough food for the walk through experience - there are plenty of hungry animals just waiting for the healthy treats you buy from the shop. When you first drive up to reception - you must tell the person that you want at least 3 buckets per person - really! They do not push the food and they should. The experience is so amazing when you have enough food for all the animals. They come up to your car and look for the buckets of food. There are many timid animals who never get any food because you used up all the food at the beginning of the drive through experience, so you must purchase enough for the animals in the middle and the end. The llamas and camels - though lovely - will hog all the food. There are so many other exotic animals that would love some of the healthy treats also. So many never get anything they don't even bother, knowing you already gave all the food away earlier. Don't do that! Just buy enough for everyone! This is the best place. Please help them out and visit. The animals need us.

Drive thru was fun. A very new experience. The giraffes were locked up when we came, but we were able to walk around and see what we missed. Do not leave your window down the flies will take over.

Really nice trail to ride on. The ride seems pretty long and the animals were so friendly. They would come right up to the car and some liked pets. Beautiful scenery. The zebras were probably my favorite. Great for all demographics. I'm from out of state and I would definitely go back.

What a great experience! $25 a bucket to feed any animal you’d like. Lots or kids merch , candy and stickers. I pretty much fed Deers, ducks, there’s ostriches, pot bellies, donkey’s, oh and a bison, even llamas lol they also have a room full of reptiles. Monkey’s, lemurs, kangaroos 🥊 you name it. Oh and giraffes!!! One was actually giving birth to a baby giraffe. No photos or videos were allowed during birth.

First time to go to a drive thru safari and it so well worth it. We enjoyed every last bit of it. Most of the animals were polite, and all well taken care of. We were so scared of the big long horn hitting our truck with his horns, but this wasn’t his first rodeo he maneuvered right around us. We loved the giraffes and highly recommend paying to get some lettuce. We will be back.

We had so much fun today. We did the guided tour and it was well worth the money. Kenneth was our tour guide and he was friendly and very knowledgeable. You can tell he really enjoys working with the animals. We took our 3 year old and he had a blast. There are tons of animals, but the Llamas were definitely my favorite. We will definitely be going again.

There is no much staff/personnel hence don’t know how they take care of the quantity of animals they have.Small place to host the kangaroos. Many animals are in dirty cages like monkeys, mapaches, sad to see it.Haven’t seen enough water or shadow and temperatures are warmer every day in tx. Smelly, everywhere inside their gift shop store or public restrooms, as they have birds in cages and reptiles in all small places, sad to see it, snakes water was also super dirty not clear at all.Good variety of animals but would not recommend to visit.

We had a blast! There are definitely hundreds of animals to experience. Buy extra feed and throw it slowly so you have some left for the animals at the end. Be prepared, the animals aren't shy and will crowd your vehicle. If your not paying attention you could loose your food bucket to an ostrich or camel fairly easily. Definitely go inside the gift shop for some lettuce for the giraffes and peanuts for the monkeys. Again, one cup wont be enough. I could have fed the giraffes all day! The aviary was fun and the birds are beautiful. I even got a parrot or two to say hello! The reptile exhibit was large too. I have never been so close to so many venomous snakes and the pythons were HUGE! Cant say enough about this place. Next time we will go on a guided tour. I hear those are fantastic.

It’s a great time! A group of us went and we will go again! It’s awesome to see all the different animals, we didn’t have any problems. Feeding the giraffes was definitely the highlight! They are so gorgeous! It can get a bit pricey doing everything but honestly it’s worth it. There is so much to see just spend the couple hours and do it. We also did the baby room, it was ok but not worth it in my option. I would definitely ask what babies are in there before doing it.

One of the best places we've been at! The animals are very well taken care of, they come to your car the monkeys interact with you. The employees are wonderful. The gift shop is really cool to!This is better than the Zoo and the pricing is well worth it! Will come here many more times.I

This place is hand down the BEST. Have gone 4 times already. Each time bringing someone new. Animals are very well taken care of. They ALL come to your car. The place gets bigger every time I return. Baby room is amazing. Up close with the beautiful giraffes. Face to face. We usually spend 1 1/2-2 hrs there. The drive from San Antonio is well worth it. I recommend it for anyone and all ages! Good job Franklin Safari 👍🏼

Came for my son's birthday on Sunday 30th. Had a blast with my family. The kiddos all loved it. We got a private tour by one of the brother's, he was very kind & funny & informative. Highly recommend the tours so you can learn about the animals. 🙂 My son loved it, he feed & touch every animal. 💙 Kids want to come back again.

I absolutely loved this place. The private tour was definitely worth every dollar. I loved how the animals felt so comfortable interacting with me and my family. The guy that took us on the tour was so knowledgeable and really provided a memorable experience. I loved how he told us a story about all the animals. I would definitely recommend this place 100% we will be back for sure!! Did I mention the animals are so adorable. Don't forget to visit the monkeys they will do tricks for peanuts. 🙂

My kids needed to get out and have some fun so we decided to take a 2 hour trip to Franklin. After reading several reviews, I decided that this would be the perfect place to take them! The drive through was a lot of fun, the animals came up to the car and we were able to feed them from the buckets! The animals are not shy! I just recommend getting a couple extra buckets of food because it will go fast! We also fed the giraffes and spent a few extra dollars to enjoy the baby room. The baby monkey and lemurs were very curious, one actually stole my 6 year-olds mask and they tried to steal my daughters glasses. We had an amazing day!
