My husband and I have had Daisy for about 4 months now and she is the most beautiful dog we have ever seen. So lovable, playful and sassy as well, she is our princess angel! We can’t take her anywhere without being stopped because she is so sweet and gorgeous. She is the first pet I've ever had and we could not have chosen a better breeder! Creme of the Crop Dachshunds prepared us so well for the couple of months before Daisy was born, so by the time we flew to pick her up we were well prepared. We brought our amazing puppy Taco home from Leslie in May and we couldn’t be more grateful! We decided we wanted a mini dachshund in September of 2023. After extensive research, we ended up calling Leslie and having our initial interview with her. Leslie spent over an hour on the phone with us asking about us, our home, and our family. We appreciate that so much! We also learned all about the Urso’s and their lovely Dachshunds. We immediately got on the waitlist and started prepping. Leslie makes everything so easy. She gives you so much information you feel at ease while preparing for your new baby to come home. She’s with you every step of the way and is available for any questions you may have. Take the puppy notebook seriously! It’s all there to help you. We were notified in late October that our puppy was born and picked him out. We love that you can view the puppies on the puppy cams at all times, I happened to be watching when ours was born!Leslie’s puppy notebook has plenty of checklists for you to start setting up for your new puppy! It may seem overwhelming, but I promise, it’s so worth it (even for us, we’ve had several puppies come home before). We felt so prepared when we finally brought him home. Ollie flew home to Denver a few days before Christmas. We had a lovely time at the Urso home meeting Ollie for the first time. You can tell they care about and love these animals. She even prepares you for travel home, it was a seamless transition. His nursery was all set up when we got home and slept through the night right away. Leslie is available 24/7 when the puppy comes home, we text her so much and she is so helpful and responsive.Now about our puppy. This dog. I can’t say enough. He is such an adorable little guy. He makes people oooh and aah over him all the time. People have visited us and have cried tears of utter joy. He is so beautiful. His temperament is unmatched. The Urso’s do an amazing job with breeding, they care about these bloodlines, and it shows! Once he had all his shots, he started going to work with me a couple of days a week, he is so well-behaved and wants to just love on everyone. This is our first Dachshund (we have had labs), they live up to their loving personality. If the Urso’s are still doing this when we are ready for another, we will be returning without hesitation. I am so thankful for Leslie and Creme of the crop. A year and a half ago my sister brought home the most perfect angel Willie. She did a ton of research on dachshund breeders before hand and it was an easy choice. Willie not only changed her life, but mine as well. Last week i was lucky enough to bring home my own angel, Hank!Leslie was so informative and helpful through the process of preparing for Hank and has been on call since i got him. She did such an amazing job taking care of Hank and his litter! What can I say, except I’m so very grateful that Creme of the Crop Dachshunds, Leslie and Sam, entered our lives. After losing our precious 12 year old English Cream, Molly, in November 2022, my husband, our kitty Bruno and I were shattered. Before we lost Molly, we had talked hypothetically about what we would do when she left us, and had made the decision to wait to add another dog to our family. However, losing Molly, so very unexpectedly devastated us, and it was the hardest for Bruno, who adored his big sister. Bruno would go room to room and cry looking for her endlessly; and we immediately knew that our timeline needed to be moved up. We contemplated the puppy vs. full grown dog option and decided that ideally we’d love to find a young adult cream. We had been introduced to Crème of the Crop through the @the_dapperest_dachshunds who we’d had the pleasure of meeting in the summer of 2022. Upon researching their website, and “oohing and ahhing” over all the beautiful puppy pictures, I found the “Available Dogs for Re-Homing” section, clicked on it, and there he was, our adorable 18 month old snuggle bunny, Quigley. After sending an email to Leslie, we spent more than an hour on the phone talking about their business, their dogs, our home and our lifestyle. Leslie was very thorough and was more interesting in “homing” the dogs to their forever families, rather than “selling” the dogs to anyone who could afford them. We picked up our little “Q” in January, 2023 and couldn’t be happier, especially Bruno, who is now the big brother. Our family has just been over joyed with our new puppy! After researching in our local area for breeders we could not find anyone who bred this special English Cream color that my daughter really wanted. We found this beautifully done website , Cream of the Crop Dachshunds and knew immediately that we had to get our puppy from this breeder!Leslie was wonderful through the whole process! She nurtures and loves those puppies so much which is why they are so loving and sweet when they come home! It was a 2 1/2 hour drive to get our puppy but it was way worth the road trip to get one of these special babies! Leslie provided us with so much information and supplies to get us through the transition phase and was available 24/7 for any questions and help that we needed. The care that this breeder has for these puppies is just amazing ! Our whole family is just so in love with our little puppy. I have had dachshunds all my life, so fell in love with the breed at a young age. After losing our beloved Scarlett in September 2021, it wasn't long before my family and I concluded that our life just wasn't the same without her and we needed another dog to love. Stumbling upon the Creme of the Crop Dachshunds website (following hours and hours of searching) was one of the best things that's happened to us in a very long time. Miraculously, Leslie had a male shaded cream puppy available, and after a lengthy conversation and potential-owner interview, we passed her screening and committed to make "Finn" ours. Each week, we eagerly anticipated the pictures she would send chronicling his development and of course they only helped to build the anticipation for our official "gotcha day." Leslie relayed fun tidbits about his little personality and sent links to specific products she recommended we have on hand ~ toys, food, bedding, shampoo, nail clippers, etc. ~ to welcome him into our home in a safe, comforting, healthy and stimulating manner. We loved spying on the puppies 24/7 on the nursery cams, and she also shared an abundance of detailed information for the ride home and transition period. This assistance put us so at ease because we knew that if we followed her direction gleaned from years of experience, all would go well. Leslie promptly answered all of our questions before, during, and after pickup, and I know will continue to be there in the future whenever we might need her. Finneas (a shaded cream) officially joined our family on November 3rd, and we decided to welcome another puppy, Scout (a platinum blonde ee cream), on December 12th. Both puppies had been loved and cared for so well and transitioned seamlessly. And they already knew their names because Leslie had encouraged us to make that decision early so she could call them by name during every interaction. Both puppies have the sweetest temperaments; are beautiful bundles of energy; love people and each other; are so smart; know how to potty on their pads; and have passed their vet visits with flying colors.Finn and Scout are the BEST gifts we possibly could have received this Christmas season, and we know they'll bring us joy for many years to come! We'll forever be thankful to Leslie and Sam Urso/Creme of the Crop for entrusting them to us. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for them to raise these "babies" for 8 weeks and then send them on to their forever families, but we're incredibly grateful they continue to do so.

In September of 2019 we rescued our first Dachshund, so I was new to the breed but instantly fell in love with them. We quickly decided we wanted to give Dixie Lou a little sister.December of 2019 I started looking for an English Cream Mini Dachshund to join our family. After researching her website and our interview with her I found her to be the most knowledgeable and thorough breeder. All of her babies, mommies and daddies were by far superior in quality, temperament and personality. She truly cares about not only her babies, but where her future babies are placed. She was interviewing me as much as I was interviewing her. I really liked that about her, that it was just as important to her to place her babies in loving caring homes.After some time to discuss with my husband we put a deposit down and started the waiting game for our sweet baby girl Daisy Mae. The year flew by and before we knew it she was here. We were so thrilled when all the babies in her litter were born and thriving. Daisy and her brother and sister have all turned out to be incredible puppies. This is when the real fun started. I couldn’t wait to Check the webcam every morning to see how mommy and babies were doing. It was such a delight to watch them grow into their uniquely wonderful personalities. Daisy has been a little spitfire from day one. She’s the wild one of the bunch, and nothing has changed, lol. I also couldn’t wait to check Facebook for all the wonderful updates on the babies with tons of pictures to see their progress.In November we drove out from California to bring back out precious Daisy. Little did she know she was in for a 2 day trip back home. She was a complete pro, and slept most of the way home. She and her big sister have the best time running around the house playing with all their toys and snuggling up to one another and sleeping after a hard time playing chase. They are completely inseparable after just one day. She’s so smart and potty training has been a breeze.I’ve never seen a breeder put so much time and energy into raising perfect babies with 100’s of hours feeding, cleaning, loving on them, rocking, playing, socializing, nurturing these little loves. I just feel so blessed to have found them. We just can’t say enough great things about Leslie, Sam and Creme of the Crop Dachshunds. They have given us the greatest gift in Miss Daisy Mae. We felt a bond with him even before we met him.You can tell right away from the puppy’s personality that he was loved and pampered. The trust he has with humans for belly rubs and falling asleep in their arms and laps prove that. Milo has such a playful side too. He is not afraid of anything or anyone. He will greet everyone in the family and play with the senior dog with no qualms. He is also very independent. He will fall asleep on his own when he is tired. He has found a favorite bed in his nursery and he will snuggle in that bed with the snuggle puppy and nap when he’s tired or sleep through the night. He is just such a happy go lucky puppy! I saw my first cream dachshund about 2 years ago. Someone was walking one in our local park and I fell in love. I had to have one as it had been 2 years since we lost our last furbaby. It was time for our house to be a home again. So my search started for the perfect breeder of cream dachshunds. I looked for breeders within a few hundred miles our home but no one specialized in creams-they bred all varieties. Some would not even allow me to pick up a pup at their home. So many red flags in my search. Then I found Leslie Urso and Crème of the Crop Dachshunds. 800 miles away!!I learned so much about the breed and Leslie as a breeder on her website. So much wonderful information. She is so transparent with the puppy cams. You don’t have to worry about anything from birth until you pick them up because you can see it all! This to me meant she hides nothing about her breeding or raising of your future pup – I would be able to see my babies anytime I wanted and watch them grow and develop.So I called Leslie and knew I had found the breeder of my future puppy. She interviewed me to see if I was a fit-it is all about the puppies to Leslie and what is best for them-I loved that! I sent my deposit in and waited. During this time my husband and I decided maybe we wanted two! I called Leslie and she said she thought that was doable so two it was! Once the pups were born Leslie stayed in contact to let us know how everyone was doing-and I watched my little babies grow and develop on the puppy cam.I cannot recommend Leslie and Crème of the Crop enough. She cares so much for her dogs and puppies. That is obvious in everything she does. As Leslie says you become a member of the Crème of the Crop family and she is always there to help if needed.Thank you Leslie and Sam for our babies-they are perfect!

I can't say enough about my experience with this company and breeder! I have never met a breeder more dedicated to her dogs and puppies than Leslie. We were able to watch the mommies on web cam before puppies even arrived. All mommies had full attention of breeder and wonderful environments! Once puppies arrived we were able to watch them grow daily in web cam and Leslie provided photos of individual puppies often. We were so lucky to be able to visit the location and see the nursery first hand. She truly treats her dogs like human children. I've seen countless nights and days of feedings, caring, rocking, and laying near new mommies who were exhausted encouraging them to nurse. When we picked puppies up, this breeder checked on them during our 5 hour journey home and continues to check on them! Our puppies are happy and healthy! I would definitely recommend this breeder for your cream dachshund! You will NOT be disappointed!

We love Leslie and Creme of the Crop! This was our first experience working with a breeder and she made the whole process so easy! I think what stands out to me most is that not only do you get the cutest puppy but Leslie shares her wealth of knowledge, experience and advice long after you take your puppy home! We are so in love with our Luca and we are so thankful for all of Leslie and Sam’s hard work to help families get their perfect puppy! Even after getting our Luca we also love that we can still watch the cameras and keep up with all the other dogs at Creme of the Crop!

Our family has been so blessed by our little Leo! He is absolutely gorgeous and has the sweetest personality. He has fit in to our family so well since day one. He gets along with our kids and other dog very well and has picked up on training easily.
