First time ever seeming a hermit crab switching shells. It was so weird! I love the staff. They’re super helpful every time I come in. I never have to look for what I need. They have a lot for a smaller store, and I would definitely recommend them for a quick trip or if you want to pet bunnies.

This is the nearest pet supply store to me and I’ve shopped here several times over the years. The staff on the floor as well as the cashiers have amazing customer service skills, which set this store apart from their competitors. A couple weeks ago a gentleman helped me pick out formula and a bottle for a kitten I just found - there was no way I could read the packaging without my glasses. And one of two cashiers hopped back on her register to help me check out, even though she was getting ready to go on break. I could have easily waited in line for the other cashier, but she insisted. I haven’t experienced this level of customer service in years, to be honest. This is a well managed store who have clearly both hired and trained great employees!

The employees are always so friendly and helpful. We’ve bought 2 ferrets from here and we love them. There’s always a good variety of good food and treats for my pups too.

I went to get a bearded dragon and the next day his or her legs weren’t working and it died they told me to take it to the vet but was to late and they didn’t tell me if I can refund it or get another one

Everything is twice as high in $$ then anywhere else. Only one staff member in back decorating. Made 5 customers wait 15 mind at register until she finished hanging decorations. Not professional as all.

Came into the store today to get dog groomed. Sent us to the back for service and the lady said she can’t do it because she was getting off in 15 minutes. Totally unacceptable,you are still on the click, then do your job. Will never step foot back in this store…disappointed in the level of service we received. Took our dog down the street and it was breath of fresh air.. please do Better in the future.

Came in to store on Saturday and felt somewhat discriminated cashier was helping somebody and did not acknowledge as coming in My companion and I then were looking at a medication that was in a show case that was locked and the cashier never came to ask us if we needed anything. She just proceeded to go stock. After that I went to go call her and ask her if she could help us. She just stared at me and I had to kind of ask her like two or three times. We need help. After that she did come and help us. Didn't say anything took out the medication charged us and then she asked me for my email and I told her that I didn't want to register my email then she asked me why and I told her because I was not going to come in anymore. But another couple comes in when the door bell rings and she right away acknowledged them. I don't understand but anyways my money is as good as anybody else's . If people have issues with other races then they need to work at a place where there's only their kind of race. And that's just my personal opinion. I don't mean to offend anybody but that's just what happenedcuz I was not going to return anymore. She said why not. I said because you didn't even treat us correctly as she was charging us. Another couple comes in and she right away acknowledged them and I feel like since it was the same race she that's not fair

Worst management possible. Managers cuss and yell at there employees. Kelly Huff and Sharyon Everage. Can never keep anyone in the grooming. Hire people with fake licenses that end up hurting and cutting your pets! Even had one pass away in there care. There current staff does not care about the safety of any animals in grooming. I personally witnessed management being very ruff with customers animals while getting them ready to give back to the pet parents. Don't ever come to petsense unless you want your dog butchered and or hurt. And they won't tell you or write any incident reports. All there cameras are fake and do not work. So don't rely on any video. That's why they aren't ever helpful when comes to anything happening and needing proof.

The effect working at Petsense had on my mental health was not worth $11.50/hr . The store manager was consistently disrespectful, condescending, and dismissive of the needs of both the animals and the employees. I've witnessed her frequently yelling at my coworkers in front of customers and heard stories about her cursing at some of them behind closed doors, creating a hostile work environment.She also ignores advice from the animal specialist SHE hired. These are simple no brainers like not putting a different more aggressive species in the same cage as the other, giving rabbits enough room and giving the ferrets enrichment toys. She regularly went out of her way to remove toys from the cages and instructed us to under feed the animals. She reduced the space of our existing animals against the advice of our specialist to make room for more animals she ordered KNOWING we had no space left for more animals.During opening or closing shifts, there were usually only two people working. However, when the assistant manager was present, it was even worse. She would spend her entire shift sitting in the office, watching videos on her phone, while we were left to open/close the store or unload and stock shipments on our own until 2nd shift came in. (And later LIE to the store owner saying WE were always on our phones) She'd also stay over time to get more hours, causing everyone else's hours to be cut. She also regularly allowed us to be verbally abused. At one point she continued to reason with a man who had been calling the girls in grooming all kinds of nasty things and calling me racial slurs when I came to see what was going on. It took her a whole 15 minutes after being contacted to go back there and check on those poor girls-- My coworkers and friends.The store claimed to offer competitive pay, but in reality, our hourly wage was a whole $2 less than that of the McDonald's next door. Which is interesting considering how insanely marked up everything in that store is including the animals. Even with our employee discount, most of us bought our stuff at other places because it was much cheaper.My coworkers and I often struggled to make ends meet, with some falling behind on rent and bills because of the assistant manager's greed and lack of consideration. One coworker with a family and a newborn was forced to find another job because the store would not give her enough hours to support her family. At one point, I could only have 3-hour shifts, despite the job listing stating a minimum of 4 hours per shift. When I asked the store manager about this, she simply replied, "nuh-uh, we ran out of hours." On one occasion, the store manager even tried to convince me that discussing my wages with coworkers was illegal and suggested that I ask my parents for advice.Management was completely ineffective when it came to conflict resolution. My coworkers and I lodged complaints about the assistant manager, including a confidential and anonymous complaint to the store owner. However, the assistant manager went so far as to access the recently deleted emails on the office computer to read the complaint and later passive-aggressively confront the person who wrote it.The turnover rate at Petsense was extremely high. During my 4 months there, I saw them hire three people who quit within a week, citing their interactions with management as the reason.I cannot recommend working OR shopping at Petsense. The management is incompetent and disrespectful, and the lack of consideration for employees and animals alike is appalling. The impact on my mental health was not worth the low pay and terrible work environment. And the prices are simply too damn high.

Amber did a wonderful job on my Pomeranian. Can't say enough good about them. Next time the Pomeranian needs groomed I will be bringing my rat terrier with me.Just a note, after reading some comments. If you get your information from Facebook, you might as well made up the story yourself.

This facility killed a beautiful dog. Dog was taken in to be groomed and ended up needing to be euthanized at the animal hospital! Just awful! Please keep your pets away from this place. To make things worse, they deny any accountability whatsoever and claim the dog was dropped off that way. This place makes me so sick. You should never be cruel to an animal.

The overweight black man with a nose ring is so incredibly rude. I love this store but he has completely ruined it. When I went up to the counter to pay for my items I wasn’t greeted or even acknowledged. Didn’t say hello or asked how I was doing. Nothing. Scanned my items and pointed at the card reader. Oh and the entire time he was playing on his phone. I guess he had something more important to deal with. Didnt say a single word once the transaction was complete. No thank you or good by.

Be cautious booking grooming here. Almost every time we book here the grooming gets cancelled a few hours prior to our appointment. This has happened multiple times and is extremely annoying. We will most likely be finding a more reliable groomer in the future.

Felt like the staff wanted to interrogate us about our new rescue.. almost demanding the when where and how he came into our family.. attempting to dig their fingers in his eyes when we said everyone (vet included) thinks he might be blind and or deaf.. we came for a leash, collar, tag, and a few toys.. not veterinary care or judgement. Then they, ‘help’ us with the etching of tag and proceed to do it backwards.. great staff.

Staff seemed nice but they were both upfront and no one was near the rear of the store. Otherwise they were very polite, wide selection of dog and cat accessories but the selection for reptiles and aquatic pets were limited at best, also the fish tanks looked to be somewhat lacking of upkeep. (In my own opinion.)

I love this pet store. Martha is very helpful and kind. Every time I’ve visited she has been more than helpful.. She helped me pick out a nice male beta about a month ago. My son is in love with Maui (the beta). We recently purchased 2 guinea pigs. Martha helped me through step. Great location..

They killed a dog while grooming. Look into Georgia on Facebook. She was groomed and then sent to the vet for severe head trauma, resulting in euthanization. They deny any responsibility, claiming she arrived in that condition, yet she was groomed before going to hospital. Make it make sense.

I am so disappointed in our groom today. Groomer said he was aggressive & tried to bite her. The other times he has been to groomer he has been fine. He came home looking like a mess. Doesn’t look like his face even got washed. His body was cut & legs partially cut….looks awful! And she still had the audacity to charge me $50! I will never set foot back in this store!

Saturday my family and I purchased what turned out to be an extremely unhealthy pug puppy, from a “puppy broker” come to find out. We were told that she was a lot older than what she actually is and she shouldn’t have been away from her mother.We rushed into this store to buy milk replacer and bottles. The employees were concerned and really helpful. Shannon (I think that was her name) went to the back of the store and made a bottle for the puppy who was starving. To me, that’s going above and beyond. Also the dark haired girl with blue eyes at the register was very nice and helpful. To us this was an emergency and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you so much and we definitely will be back the next time we’re in town.

They LOST my appointment to get my dog groomed."Uhhh Sorry, not sure what happened "Not a problem right ... WRONG ... I live 40 miles away! Over an hour of drive time not to mention I scheduled my afternoon around this appointment. I was not happy. Total waste of time.They should get an online appointment system.Then the employees can go back to watching Tick Toc and Facebook on their phones.

Waited 2 weeks to get my poodle in for grooming after I called & was told would be called back & never was. Finally set up appointment online & when I checked in I told the lady that I wanted to upgrade my services. Can’t tell you how upsetting it was to pay $55 for a shampoo, toe trim & teeth brushed with no haircut!!! I could have done all this at home for free!!!!

I love going into this store and going straight to the the kittens to say hi. I don't really want a new cat but I have a feeling that it won't be long. My current cat get s bored of food and these guys always have so much to choose from and some one willing to cheerfully check me out. My only concern is that back wall with the reptiles and fish, it often seems an afterthought, forgotten about.
